You could also start off by only having Ritual and Channeling, to represent that you only had access to a limited form of magic, but that some of the lessons stuck with you. You could keep the theme of Winter magic for Ritual, and maybe take wind for Channeling. Or if you wanted to move completely into Champion of God mode, you could take Spirit for your Channeling, and for Ritual take either spirit or something like exorcism or healing. You could always buy your way into full magic later on if you wanted to.

i would think most big european and asian cities might have these, however american cities may be too new. it might be fun to be the first spirit of new york or chicago.

spirit of gotham = the dark knight

Pure Awesome.

I am in the midst of fleshing out a recurring NPC for my campaign based LOOSELY on the Joker (and a bit of Gollum). Harlen Quinn, a winter court changling that never chose human or fae, even after he was called. I may have to shoehorn your idea in some how.

If you haven't read The Authority comics, the character Jack Hawksmore might hold some inspiration for you. Especially his part in The Secret Origins of Jenny Sparks.

*edit*

D'oh. Also, other sponsors could be Gia, Sol, Luna, etc. Gia being the most obvious and simple to work in.

Actually, The Authority has a character sponsored by the earth... Just read the comic. Its usually epic win, and its choc full of ideas.

Yeah, like 4-5 years. Same thing happened with them as did Nibbles n' Bytes. They took down a bunch of names and email addresses to let everyone know when they relocated, then nothing. The old store is just a nuts and bolts outlet.

Unless it has become the heroes secret bunker, surrounded by large quantities if sharp iron bits....

O'leary's books might be something to add in. If you don't already know about it, it may hard to find information on it, since it has closed. But it was up for the first half of the series, and might make a good hang out for your "alphas".

One of the biggest problems I have when running the game is making enough interesting individuals to populate my world. So lets start coming up with some. Good guys, bad guys, innocent bystanders, high concepts for your PCs, you name it.

Punkrock Warlock
Casts spells using rock lyrics.

Magical Mucisian
Uses a violin for her magic.

Gorrilla Mercenaries
A shapeshifting brute squad being used by the Reds.

Veteran Vet
Former Ranger now working at an animal hospital, with an unusual link with animals.

Weregoat
Got to find a way to make this one work...

A nurse at a hospice or children's hospital that has some power in healing, but is being sued / shut down because of her rituals.

A guy from a paranormal show that is hounding the PCs to let him film "A Day in the Life" style piece. He could be clued in or not, the PCs could be willing or not. To many ways to use this one. :D

I'll post more when I'm not at work.
