DFRPG / Re: From the Novels: How Would You. . .?

1) Descriptively tagging an aspect to ensure a successful block.

2) A very successful block, with  Harry taking advantage of the optional Spin rules.

3) Don't remember exactly how this exchange was described.

4) Attacking multiple targets in a zone, using sponsored magic.

5) LC would be a massive focus item, and its loss was a concession.

Just remember that places are linked by concepts. What is the concept of any fast food restaurant?

A place where a large number of carnivorous go every day for an easy, prepackaged meal....

Something with quartz crystal and an intricate web of copper binding it would be a neat anti-comm device. (Potion)

A bell made out of cold iron might disrupt Fae magic. That one was used on an episode of Gargoyles. (Enchanted item)

Something like the Thorn Manacles Harry was in during PG would probably have to be a (cheap) Item of Power, since they would effectivly be always on.

You might allow a Focus Item to grant its bonus to a theme instead of an element. For example, a lens that grants its bonus to piercing veils. (Or do the rules already allow that?)

Were-Human.

Ranma 1/2. He can change from a man into a woman.

Also, man-were-bear-were-pig.

Sorry, work is distracting the hell out of me lately. No, that site is where I found larger versions of the inverted world map. I found these and many images I haven't uploaded yet in various places, and I'm trying to both find their sources and find more. I'm collecting them in photobucket to share and hopefully get more in return. Its very much a work in progress.

I think having being "The Slayer" should apply as the toughness catch no a number of Buffyverse creatures.

Oooooooookaaaay... 3 days later. :P

Still a work in progress.

I'm going to have a book on Golem creation that keeps popping up as a running arc in my campaign. The events of one adventure were inspired by these two pics. Like the multiple werewolves in Fool Moon, the book will be getting used by multiple parties with vastly different goals.

Here is a place to start. Do searches for things like miniature, flat, counter, and tiles, and those searches again with the added words paper or modern. A lot of it is sci-fi/fantasy stuff, but at the least you wont be hurting for monsters, and there are also maps and tiles you could use.

Also, you could probably put together some stuff just by finding a good picture and shrinking it down to fit on a trifold or a stand-up.

DFRPG / Game useable art
« on: April 13, 2011, 11:37:05 PM »
This idea has struck me at work, so I only have the one image to start with. I just thought I'd share some of what I have found that is both usable in game, or simply inspiring. I have a couple images at home that have spawned entire campaign arcs.

First up, my avatar at a larger size.

DFRPG / Re: Have fun with this high concept for me please
« on: April 04, 2011, 04:13:49 AM »
(Inspired by above posts) How about a Changling that chose to be human, but later regretted the decision, and is carving up fairies to fuel what he may have once been. Collecting enough little powers to collect lager ones, maybe even ending in an accession ritual.

You could also directly import the comic character Jackie Estacado from The Darkness series. I mean straight is plug and play.

For an idea I'm working on for my game, I have a Changling named Harlann Quinn. I'm still mulling over a lot of possible directions to take him, but the basic idea is a Trickster like being, doing bad, vicious things that cause good to come from them. Like Q, but really nasty.
