Awesome!  Pictures of my fat ass on the internet.  :)  Having said that, it was awesome.  Always fun going to see Jim.

You do realize if you kept quiet no one would have know it was you, right ;)

I called and requested they hold a copy of the book for my wife and me (as we are driving from Indy day of the signing).  We really enjoyed the Turn Coat signing and can't wait to go.

If it's like the last time they held a signing, they expect you to buy at least ONE book there, but you can get others signed. I remember one person having I think every book in the series to date signed (I think that was about 11 books, at the time).  I'd recommend a slightly smaller number as there are usually a lot of other people who want to get stuff signed (I think the wife and I had 3-4 books total signed between the two of us.)

Tim said "Could you stop releasing books around the holidays?  My family is starting to think I hate them."  Jim said, "Have you told them the truth?"

He was also great and added even more personalization to the book we asked him to sign for our friend that first recommend the "other wizard named Harry" to us.  With all he was signing, the fact that he added even more than we asked him to was just awesome.  He seems like the kind of person that we could just hang out with.  Can't wait to make it to another signing.

He also said I'd have to take it up with his publisher, who's one of the sweetest people in the world and he has no idea how she survives NYC being so sweet, but that ultimately, my cause was probably lost.

On the bright side, I think I may try and introduce my oldest niece to Harry this year.  If she'll ever return my copy of Furies of Caldaron.

I'm Seri's husband and I agree with every one.  This was a lot of fun and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.  It was worth every one of the 30 minutes of vacation time I had to use.   :)

Jim was awesome.  He was very kind and gracious.  He even gave a really cool answer to my complaint about how the books make my family think I hate them while signing our stuff.  (They always seem to come out around holidays and then I've got my nose buried in a book at family events).
