Calendar Event Discussion / Re: San Diego 2011 Comic Con
« on: July 26, 2011, 07:41:18 PM »
Back to the ol' grindstone, but I did catch the bullriding vid (heh heh) a few minutes ago and thought "Hey, didn't I just see that guy?"  I remembered him from the panel just prior to Jim's in 6A.  Pat was hi-larious, and he seemed to intimidated the beardless authors that were with him (with the beard, of course).  Does his sense of humor leak into his books?  If so I just might have to check them out.

Had a great time at SDCC, though this year was very different than my first (2009).  Saw a lot of different panels, and experienced a lot of surprises too.  Got to talk briefly with Jim just prior to his signing up in the Sails Pavilion, and got him to sign my copy of Storm Front, meaning my life is now (closer to) complete.   ;D

Twas good meeting you Priscilla, and catching a few folks here and there who recognized my cosplay (in the frigging line for JB - nowhere else...lol).

Looking forward to SDCC, and am overjoyed Jim will be there (will be catching the panel, oh yes).  If you see young Luccio wandering around the con on Thursday with a Warden's cloak and other accoutrements, that's me.   ;D

I'd say chances are better of seeing Jim at a smaller event (than SDCC).  I tried catching a few authors back in 2009.  Had to stand in line for an hour or so and draw a ticket (winners had an "X" on it or somesuch).  I didn't stand a chance.

But at other events mentioned here, it seems there's more of an opportunity to not only get an autograph and ask him a question, but to actually attend the occasional event with Jim as the honored guest. (Can't speak for all events and activities, of course.)

Aside from that, even if Jim is unable to go to SDCC, it'll still be an amazing con to attend.

I'd chime in with Orlando, FL, but if he aims for several spots in Florida with one in the central vicinity, I'd be over the moon.   ;)
That, and the SDCC would be nice (went in 2009, and missed him by a year).

DF TV Series / Re: POLL: End Game Opinion of the Series
« on: October 21, 2007, 08:22:54 PM »
Hi rinascita - Welcome to the Forum!  The tv series is available at places like Bestbuy and Virgin Megastore.  I've also had friends find it on Amazon, and I'm sure others are selling it on ebay.  It's also for sale (individual episodes, or the whole season) on Itunes.  One doesn't have to have an Ipod to download one of the shows, and watch it on their Mac, PC or laptop.

Also, the series will reair starting mid November.  Check posts here noted for Reruns.
