Tea sounds lovely! My favorite may be Lady Grey but I am flexible to other brands too.
Hey Dina.
Loose leaf tea FTW :P
Maen Dina! Guava leaves suppress cough (or so I'm told), you can do without it :D Insists on Dina trying the monstrous potion
*here you go Otlan*
Also, there's a monstrous connoction that my mother used to make me when I had a cold, and I kept up the tradition: Cinnamon sticks boiled for 10 minutes, add ginger (boil for 5 minutes if whole root, don't boil if its ground), some guava leaves (boil for 10 minutes). Leave it to cool a bit and add some sugar/honey and drink a cup every few hours.
*cackles maniacly and rubs his hands together. Tremble all ye poor fools who'd ever dare try this potion, for it is not for the faint of heart.Or for the strong of heart, for that matter.
The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.
Good maen everyone!
I know, Tami :'(
I was happy to see Don was here :)
Otlan, thanks for the info about the games. And I found yucca quite meh. It's relatively common in the North East of my country.
I was delighted to hear that the InSight finally did a good Mars landing and it is sending pictures. I am always amazed by that kind of things. I know this is a USA milestone but I still think it's an achievement of humanity, as I am sure the NASA team had people from several nations. People is beginning to talk about actually going to Mars, and it is so exciting!

Anytime Di-Di n_n . Well Yucca isn't as common here in the US. Sadly shortly after I tried them, the Mexcican resturant that served them were I live closed up -_- .Think of it as practice makes perfect. We ruined Earth, the first attempt. Mars will be better, but still ruined, maybe in 2666 we'll make Tatooine a better place. :D
Ehhhh, I'm not so sure humans should go to Mars. I mean, we can't even take care of this one, should we really be screwing up another one?
Hi, ((Dina)). I had a very lazy week-end, being a couch potato and watching Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett..Loved those. He was a good choice.

Isn't it, Otlan? When the forums are off I feel so lonely.
Gil! Good to see you here!
Hi everyone!
I've recovering of a cold, but I think I will be able to prepare the Christmas tree today. It's tradition to do it on December 8th.
This place has changed a bit since I was last here, huh?
I did put the Christmas tree today, so it's been good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFgPicwIbf8
That is all.
I never really thought Seth MacFarlane was very funny, but I'm all in on The Orville.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFgPicwIbf8On the other side:
That is all.
Indeed. I've always wanted to see a Star Trek spoof. There's a lot to poke fun at when it comes to Trek. When I heard MacFarlane was doing it, I was disappointed, but he came through with a very solid first season. He balanced comedy and drama very well, and I give him credit.
Anyways, how have the Wierdoes been while I've been away?
Hello everyone, sorry I was mostly off, I've been celebrating, visiting people and yes, trying to find enough willpower to work. Today has been very hot but I did good work, so that is something.
I hope you all had a good Christmas (Special hugs for you, Otlan!). Sorry it was not a great one, DC, but good about the job!
(((((((((Everyone)))))))))) I just wanted to say...I love you, guys.
LOL, thank you, Otlan! And likewise.
(((((((LC))))))) Good to see you.
Have you folks read Christmas' Eve? I am quite excited to have received some Dresden.
Besides, if he spreads the sickness to enough people it will leave his body and he'll be cured.:)
Besides, if he spreads the sickness to enough people it will leave his body and he'll be cured.Ah yes, that is obviously how it works.
Besides, if he spreads the sickness to enough people it will leave his body and he'll be cured. That is a generous philosophy.
It has been a shopping day, I am tired. Luckily today is not so hot as yesterday. I had a raspberry and pear smoothie, but it tasted mostly like a raspberry one.-((Dina))
LOL, thank you, Otlan! And likewise.I should have waited for Peace Talks before digging into Christmas Eve. I think I got slightly spoilt about some even of Peace Talks.
(((((((LC))))))) Good to see you.

"As of December 27th, 2018, the current draft of the novel is up to chapter 39. Progress!"Now there's some nice news! :) That makes me optimistic. Our man is beast of a writer once he has the wind on his sail.
That is what we know so far.
(((((FW))))))!! How are you?I'm well thank you! :) How are you?!!
Well, December is the beginning of Summer in the Southern Hemisphere. According to the latitude it will be warmer or not. This year, in my city, the beginning of December has been quite mild, but near the end of it, it's a lot hotter. Saturday has been very hot (and Friday and Thursday quite hot, but not as much as Saturday). Then a storm came and now it's not so hot. We will see what happens for the last night of the year.
And yes, all of us who read Christmas' Eve spoiled ourselves. Perhaps Otlan got the right idea, waiting.
I am very well, thank you. And that is awesome about the solar panels! The Gormenghast series is set of fantasy books written by during the Lord of the Rings era, so it is pretty old. It is very very weird (no pun intended!), inspired many popular tropes, and is very well written.
I don't know what the Gormenghast trilogy is. I am watching a Netflix show called "Diablero". It's about a demon hunter in México city (present day). It's a Mexican show, only 8 episodes so far (I've just finished watching the fifth)
Oh, storms are not rare in Buenos Aires. If I compare my childhood with now, perhaps it is somewhat rainy but not that much. Temperature has definitely risen though.

What is Arbby's?
I saw ME trailer and I think it looked good. I won't be watching it soon though, but I will watch Bumblebee this Friday :)
It has been another hot day today, again rain (but not storm) helped a lot.
Well me and my frined had fun on New Years Day n_n . We went and had Arbby's, then we went and saw Mortal Engines. I gotta say, hell of a lot better movie then I thought it was going to be XD . I was very impressed with it n_n . There was one charcter in it in perticuler that I really liked n_n .I feel like that isn't that hard, because if you're anything like me your expectations for that movie were so low you could probably trip over the bar. :P
@Dina: *Huggles back* It's a tallent, what can I say XD .
That'd be a neat idea I think n_n . Sort of a nice little bounes story after alls said and done n_n .
They say the Bumblebee movie is different to the other Transformers' ones, I will see.
Well, I didn't know Arby's either, so spelling hardly matters this time. It seems like a good place to enjoy some yummies, and I hope you had a very good time.
Ot, I've been thinking in your RPG. Don't you want to just begin the battle? I am sure people wants to join!
Otlan, begin something, we will always have time to stop it!Bumblebee was often a good Transformer character; but Optimus was always my main favorite. By the way, Arby's is a fast food place known for roast beef and market-fresh sandwiches.
I saw Bumblebee. It's a Herbie movie, mainly for children, with some extra actions and a couple of emotional moments. Popcorn movie...and I think it was great :)
(((((((((Renmonster)))))))))))))))
I don't know what to say, job hunting is a nightmare. But I hope this year is a better one.
Maen all :D It's windy, sandy and quite cold here.
Otlan, if it is your destiny, face it like a man and Jump in the fire (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ll1-yV8YSw)
You know, it's a funny thing. I went through the member list and neither one of my old names - RSL or Squidly - survived the move to this new site. So, apparently I didn't need to make up a new name, I could have used either one of my old ones. Wish I'd known that ahead of time. :(
*Pat-Pat*
;D *chuckles* Thanks, Otlan. :) I wasn't really talking to anyone in particular, though you did happen to be here at the time. I was talking to everyone and no one, mostly. Sorta talking to myself ... ruminating, so to speak. But, what the heck ... it gets me one post closer to getting my avatar back. ;)
Can't help you with the earworm, I'm afraid, though maybe this might lessen the pain a little.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic87SfqQAAM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic87SfqQAAM)
Hope I did that right. It's been a while since I tried this here.
Well, as you can see, it worked. :D Woo hoo! ;D ;DYay!! :D
Otlan, your family just come from the hardest proof of the fact that the parents days on this Earth are numbered. Perhaps your dad is not coping very well with that. Perhaps he is afraid of his own mortality and feeling a failure himself? I know it's hard, but try to speak with him about how you feel.
In any case, (((((((((((((((Otlan)))))))))))
Yay!! :D

Maen everyone. Still windy and sandy here, but on the positive side, a great (if slighlty sandy) BBQ today.
I had one person show up at my game night at the libary, all because of fear mongering about this Snow Storm we're supposed to get 20 feet of Snow from -_- . Some days, ya just can't win.
Sorry to hear that, Otlan. Hope it doesn't put you off from trying again. :)
Pfft! Of course not XD ! No, now I'm pissed and more determined then ever to make this happen! Just gotta wait for the weather to not suck so bad and for the news to QUIT THEIR FEAR MONGERING BULLSHIT!!!! *Phew* Sorry, was that angry? That felt Angry.!
Congratulations, Ren. No dancing here - back probs - but there's the highest of fives waiting around for you. :)Maybe a medium five? On the account of back probs?
Hi everyone! What is the GGJ?
Fcrate, Yeah, I asked so I can now if I wish you luck or not. I don't :P. But I won't wish luck to the rabbits either, just to be fair. That's Ok, fair is fair :P . The rabbits' part will depend on if the driver will feel up to a long drive, but ducks are good too. Tasty, but plucking feathers is a nightmare.
Otlan, that sounds fun! So, you going?
*happydances*

Good maen everyone
Sorry WF. Perhaps you should talk with her? I understand that she has more consideration for him, as he is a child and you are and adult. You can take care of yourself. But he still needs to be taught and not indulged and you deserve some love :). Anyway, I'll sent you a PM.
Otlan, back from the game thing? Did you enjoy it?
*crossing fingers*
maen, Dina - and everybody. :)With all that resistance, I'm sure you'll be getting a visit from the Borg soon. :P
:o 8) Understandable, but the SHOV is a place to get away from all that. Ommm. Ommm. Or, for the electronically minded of you out there ... Ohmmm. Ohmmm.
Bit of a rough day. A new hire with two weeks on the job is acting like a bit of @$$. Unfortunately, the new hire works in my section where I am the lead-in-charge. I feel that he is not content to be in a non-lead position after retiring from a Navy supervisor-type position. Additionally, there is a concern on my part that I am white and he is black. The cause of the problem is about what music gets played in the work area. Personally, I could care less as long as work gets done; but, I don't want him to monopolize the music over the other workers. I gave him two options; work out an arrangement with the others or no music at all. Any suggestions?
With all that resistance, I'm sure you'll be getting a visit from the Borg soon. :PI hope they don't put Electrocutus in charge of the Borg invasion force. ;) That would suck.

If he's any kind of reasonable, the employees will work it out among themselves.
Yeah, that it close to the conclusion that I reached. Thanks, Otlan.
Wolverine, as the plotline goes, was intended to be leader of Alpha Flight. But, he left because he had feelings for Heather and didn't want to ruin friendship with her husband. Wolverine and his redhead fixation.
I just past 5,000 posts! It only took a few months shy of 10 years.
I agree, but I've only read a few things in reddit. It's fine, but this is better. Not yet. Is TD3 worth it? 1st season was amazing, the next season was so disappointing that killed much of my interest.
I don't have any social network account, but sometimes I use hubby's, mostly for reading but very occasionally for posting something.
In another topic (I know this should be in "media", but as we were talking...) are you watching "True Detective", season 3?

I don't know, that probably depends of how much you liked the original one. The story is different but the "landmarks" are the same, like "a visit to exotic relative", "dance with theThanks Dina. I think I'll give it a try, I like Emily Blunt.BertJack´s frends", "animated scene", and so on. I liked some of the songs a lot, while others are meh. I liked all the acting. So, in summary, I liked it, I don't regret watching it. I just didn't love it, so...your choice.
Not everybody gets wisdom with age; but, where is the emotional control? Some people lose much of that as they age. Anyway I'm happy for you. This is better for your own health and sanity.
Maen all :) 12:00 AM and all is well.
@WF: Good riddiance to bad rubbish I say -_- . What's he gonna tell HR? That his Boss told him he needed to strighten up and fly right? The bum dosn't have a leg to stand on -_- .He went to HR; but, as far as I know, they are not accepting much of his version of the truth.
@Dina: You know, I thought abought going to see it, but Marry Poppins was one of my altime favirote movies, and I'm really getting sick of these remakes -_- . I don't know, I'm up in the air about it.
Sup Otlan :D
*tiredhugs*
Sadly back on the job market, apparently someone in management decided they didn't want me there and ended
my contract the night of my 4th day of training. No fucking clue why and not expecting to get any response back on
a request for an in-depth explanation.
Beyond frustrated at this point, had pinned a lot of hopes on that gig and its all out the door now...been applying for
other stuff but the motivation is just not effing there anymore...8P

Something something, there is no Dresden Files TV show in Ba Sing Se?
The Sorcerer's Apprentice was closer to being Dresden than that show was.
Hello everyone, good maen!
I actually liked the show, because I watched it before reading the books. I still think that Harry was the best thing of the show, but Bob and Morgan well inspired choices too. And Jim was a coroner :)
We had a power outage in the building all last night. It was awful due to high temperatures.
Otlan: In winter because of the old and faulty power grid, but during the summer people use their air conditioning too much and there isn't enough electricity to go around, so they cut the power off in some areas for an hour or two every few days and "theoretically at least" make a fair schedule. In practical terms it means that they cut off electricity from those in the country side, so that the big cities can enjoy uninterrupted electricity.
Bob has no solid form though! And i will admit, the guy that played Morgan was a good choice to.If I recall, Butcher was a coroner's assistant in one of the episodes.
Was Jim in the first season? I don't remeber seeing him.
Sorry about the power outage Di-Di -_- . Glad you guys survived it though.
@Fcarte: Why so meany power outages?
Today was the 3rd day of Game League and this is how it went. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCLIg6WT7zM

People tend to get upset when you start digging up random sidewalks and back yards, even after you explain to them that it's really important and that once the work is done the power grid will be safer and more consistent. To say nothing of the cost, the logistics of it would is obnoxious to even think about.
Here we are slightly better. The companies are doing some investment in improving the things. Yes, they are diggings and inconveniences for walking people, but it is accepted as a necessity to have a better service. The problem is that the investment is not enough, the service has not improved that much in the last years, and the bills are much, much higher. That is one of the reasons of the dissatisfaction a large part of the country has with the current government. There's progress there at least Dina. Our prices are going up, and services are going down (at least in countryside, where nobody gives a crap)
If only my country could pull it's collective heads out of it's collective asses and help you guys in some way, shape or form -_- .No, thank you. Help comes with strings attached and only reaches the pockets of the idiots in charge. It happened before, still happening and will always happen like this.
If only my country could pull it's collective heads out of it's collective asses and help you guys in some way, shape or form -_- .I am going to pass, thanks anyway. Seriously, we have a saying: "throwing someone an iron buoy" for people that pretending (or somebody actually trying) to help only make things worse.
((((SPOTTEH!!))))
Hello Weirds! ((((HUGSFORALL))))
Happy to report I already have a new gig lined up that starts Monday!
It's for way less than the previous gig but its money and a good foot in the door for a good company.
We miss you too, Dina. As far as this "flat earth" thing goes, never under-estimate humanity's capacity for stupidity.
It is indeed limtless, just look at who's president now, and the fact we built Atomic Bombs.
@Dina: *Huggles*
@RSL: *Head Explodes from the thought as my mind is blown.*
Or the Atom Bomb has made us safer. The chances of World Powers directly going at each other has almost vanished thanks to the nuclear deterrent. Imagine if the US tried to get into a land war with the Chinese or fight the Russians over Germany. Israel having nukes has kept it from being a real target for invasion for years now and has kept Iran is a sorta check.
or just the number of lives saved by the avoiding the invasion of mainland Japan. Estimated loses were in the millions .
I forgot to mention that I got to see Elton John on his farewell tour. It was a good show. He went all out for 3 hours; not bad for being 71.Sounds great!

Atom bombs. Well, that's certainly a point of view. On the other hand, all it takes is a flip of a switch and we'll make the world a better place for cockroaches.
And Twinkies, don't forget about Twinkies. My bad, how could I ever forget! They last forever.
@WF: Awww, lucky. I'll bet that was a hell of a show.
Love them too, but I don't stash any Ho Hos. Don't want diabetes :DToo late for me. I have diabetes. So, my sweet ration is severely limited.
*turns on the light* What happened here? Why is it so dark?
Sorry, for some reason I didn't answer your previous post, Otlan. No offerings are needed at all but, to be honest, beef jerky would be appreciated :D. Hubby is easily pleased with a can of Dr. Pepper, by the way :). And he shares your dislike for coconut. I am more or less meh about it (but I have a soft spot for the fruit itself).
No worries Dina XD . *Makes a note to bring sevreal offerings of Diffrent kinds of Beef Jerky, assumeing I can somehow sneak them through airport security.*
*Grips your hands* Your Husband is my Hero T_T :) . People think I'm crazy for likeing/drinking Dr. Pepper. Dose he also like country music?
Also, how are things where your at Di-Di. I've gotten word of people makeing mass exodus from Venezuela and Columbia.
@Crate: Why would you eat brains if your not a Zombie ???
LIttle Debbie's had these Peanut Butter bars that were chocolate-covered cookies with peanut butter filling that I lived for; but, they are impossible to find. That sounds so good :)

I also like the way they faintly pulse every second
It was the peanut butter crunch bars.

@Dina: Ya right -_- . I'll bet even money thet'll give me grief for haveing a suit case partially filled with Jerky -_- . Still though, I'll find a way.
Awww. Well, one out of two ain't bad n_n . I'll smuggle your Hubby some Dr. Pepper too n_n .
Well that's, some what good I guess. I ask because this person I know who's feeling from Venzuela is going through hell. He got kiddnapped and forced into a Taxi with four assholes weilding knifes. They apparently kiddnapped the driver too. They drove around the city to diffrent atms makeing him take out the max he could. Once they were done with him, they tried to kill him. One of the thugs stabbed him but he aimed too low and hit his hip bone. The driver then shoved him out of the Taxi as they drove away, and he had to crawl in order to find help, get to the hospital and get stitched up. They caught the guys, but they killed the Taxi driver. What made him decided to leave through is when the blackouts started. Shortly after he left, his uncle wound up dieing because he needed Dialises but there was no power in the hospital -_- .
Anyway, I hope thing hget better in your country Dina, I really do. *Hugs tight* But you guys stay safe alright?
Thank you, Otlan. What you told about that person from Venezuela is awful, we are very far away of that situation. Our country is in worse shape but nothing as bad as Venezuela.
I am very sorr, Otlan.
Damn I'm good XD .Yep, you got it. I always forget the crunch in the name.
I know, blood is not the only thing defining a family. Was he old?
Oookkkkaaayyyy....*Backs away slowly.*First song is good

Have no fear Otlan, I have no interest in human brains :D
I clicked the first of your links, I love this song! Been listening to it for the past 7 years (I think) and I still only understand a quarter of it's words, and I stubbornly resisted looking for the lyrics. I get the general meaning though :P
@Dina: A lot worse ways to go, and at least he wasn't alone. I have a rather large family, meany of them knew me when I was knee high to a grass hopper. I'll bet you were a cute baby Di-Di n_n .
Mean Crate n_n .
And Uh, sure, if you say so buddy XD . *Keeps a double barrel shotgun close at hand. Just in case.*
First time I head that song was in the Sherlock Holmes movies, the one with Robert Downey Jr. I instantly fell in love with it and looked it up to hear the full version. And I'm not even Irish XD ...That I know of anyway.
From what I've been able to gather, the songs about a young man who get's a case of wonder lust, so he sets out for the city of Dublin. Along the way he finds love, gets robbed a, reaches his goal but goes further. Unltimatily he get's into a fight on the docks and cracks some heads with his crudgel. One could almost apply the story of Tarot Cards to this song.
@WF: A frined of mine intrduced me to Another Irish Drinking Song, every St. Patricks Day him and I would get together to sing it, and I still do XD .
Devil's Dance Floor I've been listening to ever since I was a kid, I like the Rythem.
Oh Danny Boy I sung in Chourse in high school, but I perticuallry liked this version.
The rest are all songs I've taken a fancy to over the years.
@Dina: A lot worse ways to go, and at least he wasn't alone. I have a rather large family, meany of them knew me when I was knee high to a grass hopper. I'll bet you were a cute baby Di-Di n_n .
I don't know if you've ever heard this one before or not, but if not, here's another you might want to add to the list: It's called Lily The Pink.Haven't heard that one before. Very funny :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XEDkVHrUWk
Cool! Did you manage to manage to do all the paperworkYes, all the government related parts at least. The rest isn't so hard, a bank statement (private bank) and some German Consulate work. Shouldn't be much of a problem.
I was! :D. I've seen pictures. I was very little because I was born a month before my due time and I had a button nose.
Bad Pun alert!: Dina had her cake and ate two XD !
*tag*
*TACKLESTHENINJA!!!!!!*
Yay, Gil!! :)
How is everybody doing?
я=ya у=oo ч=ch р=r с=s к=k и=i like the i in ski й=y
At least it's not japanese were you can really get the prunciation wrong -_- .
I don't want him dead, that's too far. Life in prison would be so much worse.
@Dina: Really?
@Gil: *Cough, Cough* Who said I was nice XD ?
Your learning Russian O_O !? Bulshmoi -_- . (I know I butcherd that.)
The cat is probably thinking "my human slave really needs to do something about these bed sheets."Sprru about that. I hope you can solve it soon.
Good maen all. Having to deal with annoying work drama from those that I am supposed to be supervising. I miss the days where I just did my work and went home.
Yes it does, and its very good for my ego. lol. Always a pattern with it, when its pregnant, last few weeks its always close by me when its not out hunting, and on the day its due, it never leaves my side for a second, wherever I go.
Here is a picture. Had to resize it, so the quality is crap. Under the cat you can see my ruined blanket (grrrrrr) which I'll get around to cleaning once next week or so. After I'm sure there are no more cold spells :P
Been there and done that with the stomach bug. Worked most of a day then slept for 12 to 14 hours. Not fun. Watch out for the lingering run of no. 2.
Sorry about that, Otlan. I hope you are completely healthy now :)
Ohhh, that is good. I don't suppose you want to share? No, after their crappy weekends it'd feel like gloating. lol
I'm much better now, thank you Dina n_n .No comment :D
Fcrate: Ya, ya, just because you've got cute mewing kitties to play with -_- .
Twelve o'clock and aaallll isss welllll! :D
My week is going well too, and the weekend is coming. But I am worried, GoT is coming too and that is bad for the heart.
I am watching too many shows already, so I can't really complain :)
About taxes, I don't know why it is so difficult for you guys (in USA). I mean, for us is not simple at all, but according to movies and tv, for USA citizens is mind-breaking.
That sounds awful, I suppose it is a way to gather money.
lmao :D
Maen all!
They're fine. I finally kicked them out :P:o
My day was good n_n . Got to habg out with my frineds and we all went and saw Shazam! Everyone needs to go see it n_n .
I'll kick them out for real as soon as they start eating solid food. They'll need to learn the ropes.
Me three n_n . It'll be nice to see how it all end n_n . What did you think of Shazam! Di-Di n_n ?
I liked it because it's very sweet. I loved Billy's foster family. Also, I was pleased with something that I will spoil-tag for those who didn't watch the movie.(click to show/hide)

Heya wolfboy. How's things?
Yesterday, I just had my first day off after working two months in a row. Let's see if I get my second day as well.
I work at a seriously under-staffed store and I am, technically, the only one with my job title. My section should have 5 people; there is 3. And, unfortunately, I know how to do just about every area and aspect of the store. So, I am the go-to-guy when a backup or substitute is needed.
Wow, we went a whole day without posting on the weird.
Awww... *pets the puppy*
My throat is much better, thank you. I now have a running nose :'(, but I think it will be better soon.
It's time to buy oranges and having a juice every morning.
Hope you are getting better. In Cincinnati, we are having the usual crazy spring weather. Cold mornings, warm afternoons, and lots of rain. You forgot the constant, insanity-inducing sneezing caused by the pollen-pocalypse. Unless you don't have a pollen allergy.
Do they have gas masks that look like Bane's mask? I could go for that!
@Dina: If my familly still made apple cider Dina, I'd happily send you a couple of jugs n_n . How was the Mulled Wine though?
Hmmm, orange juice is too acid for me. I like fresh squeezed apple juice. Pear juice doesn't like me. At my local market I can find a watermelon juice - which I love. Can't afford but love.Really? Watermelon is very cheap here. But I have to admit, the idea of a juice of it is just... *shudders*. Watermelon is juicy and tasty enough on its own.
Heyla Kiddies.I know that's true for me.
I don't know why watermelon juice is so uncommon. Maybe because the fruit is so watery, they don't find it necessary to make a juice from it. ??? I dunno. Maybe it doesn't have a long shelf life. I know the one I get has a little lime juice in it.
Drinking watermelon will never compete with sinking your teeth in and slurping up the juice.Yes yes yesssssssslurp. I can only enjoy eating it messily; I never eat it if I'm invited to dinner.
((((((((((((Snowy))))))))))))))))) how are you?
Nope, not a seven day, since the moving.
Have you seen? Jim Butcher is on chapter 60 of the draft
Tasty but nothing to call home about :).
Then it wasn't properly made or Done XD .
Speaking of Watermelons, I know they're pretty easy to grow. Damn things will grow in just about any enviroment, has any nere ever tried Watermelon Wine?
Good maen everyone!
Probably :). I liked it anyways.
Not me. I remember once watching a cooking show they mentioned watermelon vinegar and I thought "mm, if they have vinegar, perhaps they can make wine". But I've never seen watermelon wine (or vinegar) here.
(((((Otlan)))))) Sorry about your battery.
I have to do something for work, so I am a little busy but at least is not a bad thing.
LOL, no, no. I am at home, I am just preparing paperwork, documents and a class for, basically, keeping my work as a TA.
I am going to just let this here (Santa Teresa de Avila)
LOL. No. It's supposed to be a relic of the hand of Saint Teresa, a Spanish nun who claimed to speak with God. She was an scholar, an expert in the Bible in a place and time where not many women were cultivated.
That relic is in a church in Spain. Now, tell me that does not remind you something else?
LOL!
Otlan, actually she has a fame of being quite attractive. So, imagine the scandal! A nun, and an pleasant-looking one daring to do interpretation of the Bible!
WF, for some reason I think nuns in USA are worse than in other parts of the world (I mean, more strict). But yes, generally speaking, they are suppose to be quite rigorous.
I'm surprised they didn't burn her at the stake as a witch or a haratic -_-Yes, apparently she was very charismatic and pious, but I don't know too much about her myself.

Not celebrating, exactly. I guess you could call it the Muslim equivalent of Lent. It is a month of every year where muslims must fast, and by fasting I mean that they are not allowed to eat or drink from dawn till dusk (heh). Same goes for sex. They're also supposed to be at their most pious, no profanity, gossip, or any of the little daily sins. They should give to the poor, spend as much time as possible praying and reading Quran. It's supposed to teach self control and discipline, as well as remind us how the poor fare every day of their lives.
I think he means hot and hard work without water. But, I could be wrong.Somebody give this man a cookie :D
Ah alright n_n . Well, haveing to work outside all day without food or water, that would be hell -_- . Just be carfule Crate, we'd prefer not to lose you.No problem. You'll only lose some of me xD
I think he means hot and hard work without water. But, I could be wrong.
I agree about your favorite, Orlando. The other made me teary eyed, specially thinking that Stan is not here to watch it.
Congratulations!!! ((((((((Otlan)))))))))))
What is the job?
Be nice with the public :)
I wish everyone a good maen.
Your version of nice may vary. I suggest recording a video of yourself. It may look differently to other people :D
Congratz anyway!
And maen all.
Son... Shit happens. :D
((((Otlan))) I'll do but I have not time for watch it so far, perhaps I will begin tonight, if not, probably will binge watch on Saturday.
It's getting cold here, I need a good hot tea :)
Really? Are those two people ill?
Not ill, more like combative, lazy, and lacking a work mentality. Sometimes I feel like I am the weird one for trying to work a job with purpose and focus.Unfortunately, I think that actually applies to most people. At least part of that is probably due to the fact that (at least in the US), minimum wage is not high enough in most of the country for the average worker to really give two s**ts.
I have spent YEARS looking for this Song!!Was always a fan of "Wildfire" and "What's Forever For." As far as a job goes, a body shows up for a paycheck; a body commits to a job to make the effort given have value. Will try to find time for "Good Omens."

To even inferr that I enslaved him……. Sent him to die on a quest….. And was surprised at his return….
Besides, the bestpacts are betweenpeople who ultimately want to eliminate one another
Besides, as a wiseman once said, “F**k subtle
It was unnaturally cool in the SHOV. 70’s almost constantly. You may wonder why this is so unnatural, but you must realize we are in a hollowed out volcano. The Secret Hollowed Out Volcano has been our meeting place for a few years now, the upholstery ruined on a nearly weekly basis. It shocks me how sometimes we go through gaps of time where there is no SHOV. But the observant denizens always bring it back. I must also wonder about the way it seems to go through changes of moods, like a different title flows through it, integrating itself into all the descriptions and people. Anything can happen in the SHOV. But at the same time, anything can be stopped. Oft times fights are taken to portions of space specifically formed for them. Also you can’t get a decent drink here. I guess that’s how the hellfire bar stays in business. Just chugging along. We had a butler. Dina says we can’t have one anymore because he was thrown into the lava by someone. (not naming any names) She had to go save him and was very annoyed. Anyway, this special place always welcomes newcomers and it forms sort of a family unattached from the “real” world. It boggles my mind sometimes. We have gone through triumph and failure. We have scaled to the very back of the freezer just to get some ice cream that wasn’t pinto. We give advice and take it. It is the greatest place I could ever imagine. We had a ruler, the Pharoah, but he doesn’t come anymore. Sad really. This was the birthplace of the pun dumpster, and several other locations within this world we call Forumania.
…I take back any advice I may have ever offered that Don agreed with. Clearly it was horribly wrong.
Oathbringer is a pretty good book but in my opinion it leaves a bit to be desired in the actual exposition department. A bunch of stuff happens and there isn't as good a job of explaining why these things are important.I agree, not a lot of explanations, but that's on par for Sanderson's cosmere books. You'll get bits and pieces till the very last chapter of the last book. Still, for some reason I didn't quite enjoy Oathbringer as the 2 previous books. Maybe that's because the world and events expanded and changed too much in too short a time? I'm not sure.

I get that DC. Also Hi man, been awhile. Are you in college, or did I dream that?I was in college. I graduated last year. Been faffing about since, more or less.
I think oathbringer tries to bring in too many perspectives. You just get in the sea of information.
Hi Otlan! Been awhile my werewolf friend.
Also hello person I have yet to meet. Sanderson does tend to do that a lot. It can be a lot.
Also as always. Hi ((((DINA))))
Whatever happened to...*checks notes* Garrat?Dude I spent a while looking at the last time different people were on here and trust me its not a game you want to play.
Good maen everyone! Sorry it's so late, I was watching tv with hubby.Thats cool. I think I left Junior threre. 8)
GW, the hellfire is not closed, only people mostly stopped coming, but we are still playing an RPG...when Otlan feels like it.
I wonder what it would be like to go 7 days in a row without precipitation. Since it's been at least 8 months since that's happened in this area. (Southern Indiana, United States.) That is a Very Unusual weather pattern for us.I would like to know the same. I nearly cried today when it started raining again. Down near Oklahoma. "Rain rain go away" has never felt so untouchable.
Good maen everyone! Sorry it's so late, I was watching tv with hubby.

((((((((Otlan)))))))))
I walk with him when he goes out and about with my phone. He is not very "mindful of his surroundings."
That is great! Pokemon Go has done a lot for children's health. I play Pokemon Go myself :)The extent of my Pokémon knowledge was playing chips that we collected in bagged potato chips 20 years ago. Heh. Oh and a 30 episode show on local TV that they cut off whenever they found something more important. I liked the "drowsy?" Best
He plays with random kids a fair amount; but, no, no regular kids except in school. He takes after his parents; we're both kinda weird and kinda antisocial.Sounds like a great online gamer in the making. I'm very proud.
Nothing to be sorry about, really. More money :D
I don't know if he would be into swapping. He has strange ideas as to what "sharing" means. But, we can work on it.
Maen, all. I know it's been a while ... just letting y'all know I'm still around. I haven't disappeared again or lost access to my current account - yet.
@Fcrate: You know what they say though, More Money, More Problems -_- .They are idiots :D
Good maen everyone!
Otlan, I am pretty sure about Chatot. I think they are others but I am not sure. Do you play?
I am the opposite. I watched some of the shows, but I never played any of the games until Pokemon Go came. Hubby has played several of them though.
I believe Heracross is more frequent here in the South too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34CZjsEI1yU
I have no words.
Yo n_n .I would like to test that theory. Someone give a few million!
@Fcrate: You know what they say though, More Money, More Problems -_- .
@Dina: What Pokemon can you only get in the Southern Hempashphear?
I would like to test that theory. Someone give a few million! The IRS (or applicable local tax collector) wants to know your location.
Did you read any of the comments below the post? Some really funny ones. (https://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/happy/laughing.gif) (http://www.thesmilies.com)
Hello everyone!
DC, Otlan is right, his main attribute would be intelligence. I will add charisma too. It is clear that with the armor he has a lot of Str and Con, but I still think intelligence is the main thing.
In Elder Scrolls he would be a battlemage.
Maen all :)
@Dina: 2 of them has pulled through, and now back to 100%. The third hasn't started eating yet and I'm force feeding it milk. It regained control of its nervous system mostly, but is still very weak.
Mama kitty shouldn't have given birth in my room then. :D
Other ways. Ehm. I wouldn't know *angelic smile *
Hi Otlan :)
Good maen, y'all! Been away a few days. Hope everyone is well.
Good to see you, WF!
Ot, yes, those are pretty pictures. The cascade is called "Agua azul" which means "blue water". Its not a super creative name but it's such a beautiful place. It's in the Tapachula state, near the ruins of Palenque.
Another picture I would like to share:
Dina, ouch. You'd better not be anywhere closer to 1 km from the base of I ever get up on that thing.
Do they get hauled up by ropes or is there an escalator or something? And how much does it cost?
*heavy sigh*
A little disappointed, that looked like fun xD
I hope they are! Or at least that they are something similar.
The forums were down, I could still access my profile, member list, private messages and everything else.
Maen all! :D

;D
I am having an XXL weekend, so I am very happy
;DI love those! Yum.
I am having an XXL weekend, so I am very happy
So am I XD .Why would I name a cat? :D Really though, all my cats respond to me calling "minions". I used to call the mother's litter "Minions" when there's food or a mouse to catch, and they all responded to it. The mother responds to it, so now all three kitten responded to it. You try naming cats individually, and tell me the result -.-
@Crate: Really -_- ?...
Cat's will responded to a given name, but they don't do it as much as Dog's do. Not sure why.
Because they are cats, it is in their nature :)
Hmmm. I prefer cat's to Scorpions then -_- .As I said, for the past few years it's "Come, minions". Usually though it's the universal call for cats: psss psss pssss psssst xD
@Crate: so what do you usually say? Here kitty, kitty, kitty?
Because they are cats, it is in their nature :)Unless they're hungry :P
As I said, for the past few years it's "Come, minions". Usually though it's the universal call for cats: psss psss pssss psssst xD
My brother got bit by a scorpion when he was five, I think he agrees. But scorpions don't bite for spite, do they?Unless they're hungry :P
We still have the scorpion's body somewhere, it was a small one indeed.
And yes, it works, but not very well, it's just something to do on the way to the hospital. And the risk of the second person getting poisoned like this from a scorpion bite is minimal. You're referring to snake bites, I believe, as Scorpion venom is much less dangerous.
I know the tale you're talking about, it's one of Aesop's tales, right? I just didn't connect it. Lol
LOL!
I believe individuals humans can change but collectively, we were more or less the same years ago.
Perhaps one day we, as a species, get better but so far, I don´t think so.
*hugs back* Well, we can still dream, but you are probably right.
Yes, the story refers to humans, and it doesn't work. People generally change all the time, even if it was in bits and pieces. Some character traits get enhanced, others get reduced, but a 180 change isn't possible except in very rare cases.Hard agree. Some people don't change, and you need to stop giving them the chance to disappoint you.
I think the story also talks about second chances, and we should grant them or not. I agree and disagree, as if someone consistently proved to be incapable of change shouldn't be allowed a second chance, and some transgressions are too great to be forgiven.
Oh, on what platform did you watch this?
I completely agree. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by Aziraphale, as he was much better than I expected. And the beginning of episode 3 is just delightfulYes, very human of them. Laziness and shirking duties. Loved it.
Ok, just checked it. I don't have it in my Netflix so I will need to find it another way.
Yes, me too. But ey, I wanted to say hello to everyone!
Sounds very good!
By the way, it has been a tiring week, so I am very pleased about the fact that weekend is here :)
Hi Fcrate. Well...I am currently recovering from a surgery (laparoscopic, not so bad). So I've been better, but on the bright side I took a leave until Wednesday (when I had to see the doctor again).Sorry to hear that Dina :) Hope you find all is well and get better soon!
Wow, that sounds like a headache. Where are you from?
Wow, that sounds like a headache. Where are you from?
Uh? ´Straya?Maybe it means Australia? :O
Maybe it means Australia? :OThat's what I said, 'Straya. :D
Maen all :) Free week, lots of reading, BBQ and general relaxation!
Hey Dina. Had a good time at the beach. It was almost empty at this time of year (school starts in two weeks) so more fun for me. :D
You're just tired because of First Day Blues. I have the same feeling now. What is gnocchi?
Good maen y'all! Checking in for updates and whatnot. Pokemon Go should add a brief text to friends widget to their app. That would help with PvP battles and Gifts.
If you give this man a ride sweet family will die. Killer on the road.

Congatulations. Please leave some alive for the others. ;DHah! This reminds that whenever I take a taxi, I tell him he'll get a 10 pound bonus for every person they run over. So far only one driver got it.
My father gave me the advice to make a cut into the steering wheel with each person I ran over. That way you can't loose count.
Obviously he wasn't successful himself. His steering wheel had no cut at all. Poor man.
*Checks temperature* Honestly, I think I live in a place where it's unfair of me to "compete" here. :PAt the moment it's 15 °C and wet outside. We had a really weird summer: One week 30°C, next week 12°C, the week after that 35°C with a lot of electricity in the air but no thunderstorm as release. After that 10-15°C and so on. People were having headaches. One could neither get used to heat nor to cold.
We get some fun, hot summers here in the Southern US.
@Dina:
That doesn't sound like fun. No fat is ok, but no COFFEE???? Will the diet be required forever or are you allowed to eat and drink everything again after recovery?

Also the winters in the past few years never got colder than -10°C. Mostly it was above zero. There was only one day, when we could build a small snowman, but the next day it was already melting.
I remember my childhood with -20°C in January for several days.
But I shouldn't complain. At least there are no hurricanes or volcanos ...
Heyla Kiddies. Sneaks back in when no one is looking. Congratulations Otlan - you rock. and I will definitely remember to stay off the roads in your area of the country. :o :o
Hey Dina, miss ya. Sorry to hear it's cold there but you can send it up here. Very warm would be what I would call it around here.
Finally working at trying to get my novella ready for Amazon. Wish me luck. I need the money. Doing my usual end of month plea to try to get the rent. Doesn't look good this month. Several friends have come down very sick and it's disheartening. I can't really do anything for any of them. So keep your fingers crossed. Have spent my time writing fan pic - yeah, I know, but it was an escape from everything and it harmed no one. Sigh. Heard from LC - she just lost her job, unfortunately. Duckie has written several books and they're on Amazon. I think the first one is Queen of Crows. Interesting concept. Payne's Grey got married. I think Mousewynn finally retired, and Mr. Shecky is being owed by five cats - also being an independent copy editor - a good copy editor.
That is excellent, Otlan! *hugs the werewolf* Now you need to gain some experience with it
Working on that. So far I havn't wrecked or run anyone over, so yay XD !$10 bonus for every person you run over, $5 for pets.
$10 bonus for every person you run over, $5 for pets.
Collectible at the 25th of every month. Deal? *Offers hand for shaking*
Heyla Kiddies, sneaks back in.
Hope you all are doing well? Ouch Dina, I just read back a page or two and sorry about your gallbladder surgery. Glad it was laparoscopic. Those make healing a whole heck of a lot easier. Had a D and C that way. Bellybutton surgery. Hope the temporary diet helps with weight loss. The older you get the harder it is to lose. Sigh.
L.C.s been pretty quiet about her job or not having one. Sounds like the one she just lost was not a good one anyway.
Duckie just launched a new book - bad puns abound I'm sure. This IS Duckie after all. LOL

Fcrate - it's $25 for cops and $50 if they see you coming.
Otlan - good luck with whatever you try. Huggles. (For some odd reason - autocorrect DOES NOT like the word Huggles - it always wants to switch it to Hughes.)
Anyway, kids, am in and out. Miss you all and will try to be back here more often.
Snowy sneaks away again before she can be pounced.

Thanks a lot, Snowy! I will read it soon, and probably some of her old books too.
And yes, recovery after surgery has been good. Diet has not been easy but I am being a good girl and i hope it is helping my liver and my weight.
*loves hugs*
Well, yesterday I went to the doctor and all is going well. I lost some weight too, so I am feeling well.
Hi Fcrate! Congratulations about that significant loss! And yes, I agree with you but I am eating very few fatty things for now just because I am taking care of my liver after the gallbladder surgery. I won't keep that diet for ever, but I am going to try to keep a moderate fat intake in the future. I don't know if it will work, time will tell. Thanks for the advice! Thanks Dina!
Sounds fun! One of my DnD group actually became gods, so... another RPG group was more moderate, we just took an entire city (but a very poor one).
They became Gods O_O !?...I imagine that didn't end well XD . Hey, a City is only as poor as you make it XD .

Hey, a City is only as poor as you make it XD .They're fine, I sent 2 of them to a friend who wanted a few cats to hunt, the third is driving me crazy stealing my food when it can get away with it (almost never) Teaching it to hunt now, as its mother is busy with yet another pregnancy (If my cows were that fertile I'd be a very rich man :/ )
@Reg: Nice XD .
@Fcrate: Crate. Always good to see you Amigo n_n . How's the kitties?
It didn't end well ;D
And the city was very poor when our party took it. Then it got better.
Hey, Otlan.
Thank you. It was some gospels. About ½ hour.
I have finished the 9th Alex Verus book. In time for the 10th coming in October.
Currently I'm reading the new novella by Ben Aaronovitch "October Man". I considered starting in October because of the title ;). But I didn't want to wait so long. ;D
Here it is about 15-20°C, rainy and windy. At night it is coming near 0°C. Not long and there will be ice on the windshields of the cars in the morning.
Where are you from?
I suppose sometimes they are busy, and perhaps they have a lot of Sinnoh, I know I have :P. I just do it for the fun.Thanks. I agree that it is hard to get the legendaries. I have tried some social media sites to see if others near me want to raid. Most times I just walk around and look for groups near gyms. That is how I got Giratina.
I am very impressed with the pokémon you have. My worse weak spot are the pokémon that only appear in raids, as I am always alone in the raids I cannot do the high level ones, and I never have the super amazing pokémon.
Thanks. I agree that it is hard to get the legendaries. I have tried some social media sites to see if others near me want to raid. Most times I just walk around and look for groups near gyms. That is how I got Giratina.

Maen all! Finally we see weather below 30 C here :D
That is good, I guess?Yes! I can finally stop taking 7 showers a day. lol
Thanks :) It's called 'Cold, Cold Summer Night' and it's in a short story anthology called 'Vampires, Zombies and Ghosts, Volume 1'.
I really liked the video RSL. And the Argentinian musician is Chango Spasiuk. He is very well known here. He does folkloric songs and he is an expert in a musical style called chamamé. Chamamé is from Paraguay, North-East of Argentina, Uruguay and parts of Brazil. Spasiuk is very talented and, as you can see in the video, he plays the accordion.
((((Otlan)))
I just wanted to say: Good maen, everyone!!
Now getting ready to a Pathfinder evening.
Hey Warden n_n .Hey Otlan. Hope you are doing good!
So we will have to eat cake all weekend. Like always. LOL
Oh, the sacrifices one has to make... :PI'm ready and willing to sacrifice. Haven't had a decent cake since my sister moved to the US, and plum cake sounds sooooooooooo good right now.
I'm ready and willing to sacrifice. Haven't had a decent cake since my sister moved to the US, and plum cake sounds sooooooooooo good right now. With butter-crumble on top!
Good maen y'all. One of my worst dreams/nightmares involves walking into a dark room where the only light is shining on a chair with a yellow bird perched on it. For some reason that scared the crap out of me and I was an adult when I had this dream.
Huh. Do you have a fear 9f Birds Warden?Sometimes in nightmares the strangest things can scare us. Things that doesn't scare us in real life, and sometimes the fear is just fear, without reason. I once dreamt of an empty train moving at twilight, and it was awfully scary.
And there were the dreams where I was running from something behind me. I was running at full speed, but couldn't move forward, whereas the pursuer came nearer. Then I realized, it's a dream, and my father once told me, how he changed a falling dream to flying when he was a boy. And I slowly begin to lift myself up in the sky. I have to keep floating up there. If I sink to deep down, the pursuer will catch me. So I stay up and watch everything from above. The running from something and can't move forward is quite common, and happened to me a lot. Once in particular I was trying to cross the street and fell down, and was crawling to the other side. A truck is coming, and my left leg is extended behind me, still in the street, and I can't move it at all.

Echoes of ghost rider maybe? Heh
Only always Otlan. It's called insomnia :D
Hello everyone. I had been sleeping poorly so last night, my first back home, I've slept like a baby. Not dreams I can remember, but it feels good to finally rest.
One nightmare I vividly remember when I had about 30 years, not a child at all. I dreamt that I was working by a street near home (an specific block that I walk by almost every day) at night and there were no lights, so it was really dark. I was walking slowly, very carefully, because I was afraid to stumble and fall and then... out of nowhere a hand grab me by my wrist. I tried to shout but I couldn´t and I woke up when I was trying to get free of the hand. It was a horrible, horrible feeling.
On brighter news, my workshop was very tiresome but I had some fun, enjoy some nice weather, I will upload a couple of pictures of the area when I have some time for it.
Not exactly but definitely a strange bed has its issues. Still, it was mostly two things: I was sharing the room with a friend. I love her but we had never shared a room before and it felt a little awkward. The second thing was that I really wanted to arrive to the workshop in time every day and I was worried to sleep in.
Huh. Do you have a fear 9f Birds Warden?Nope, most times I don't think much about them. Some are okay and some (geese) are annoying.
Sometimes I wish they would invent a pill to forego sleep without any of the insomnia side-effects. Feels like a waste of about 25% of my life.
I love sleeping. It's kind of a hobby of mine. ;DAmen. Those sayings should be recorded, they'll be famous one day :P
Sleep is never waste.
That is excellent! I love to sleep too. Also, I like Doctor Who and I am sad we did not have a series this year. That's a very nice dream for a change, Dina! Dancing is something that I vaguely know the meaning of, but I always enjoy watching good dancers. I hope you enjoyed Mendoza (Which is the name of a villain in C&C Renegade).
Well, today I had a small dream. I was with some of my colleagues I work but for some reason I (and other people) were dancing, like ballet dancing. A little context here. I studied ballet from 7-11 years old. I never did ballet after that and now I am overweight and completely out of shape. Well, in the dream I was exactly the same, and I was dancing. And quite well, I mean, my feet, my hands, they did what they were supposed to do. It was great. I was inventing a choreography as I was doing it (I mean, I had not following a previous choreography) and the music was the Swan Lake. And I was not the best ballerina ever but I was doing it really, really well, and still in my old, rusty body. I was feeling delighted to discover I could still dance. I've felt really happy.
I am very sorry about your last days not being good, Otlan. Try to double check each day about the following day and don't worry too much, you will get the hand of the work soon. Meanwhile, we are here for you if you want to rant, vent, cry or whatever. (((((((((((Otlan))))))))
That dream sounds awesome and fun! It is good to have a few moments to be awesome warriors in our life, even if it is in the dream world.
*Hugs back* Thanks Dina. At this point though, I just want to beat my head against a brick wall and be done for the day -_- . To top everything off, now it look like none of my gameing group members are gonna show up -_- . My f**king life, I sware to God -_- .I can help you Otlan, I can put your head through a brick wall for you. Solves everything. :P
Eh, it was kind of, even though I wasn't really doing anything Heroic.
I can help you Otlan, I can put your head through a brick wall for you. Solves everything. :P
@Dina: Thanks Dina n_n . One of these days, I'm gonna build me a little room and fill it with all kinds of brakable stuff. And when I've had a bad day, I'm just gonna take a bat, go in there and smash it all to hell n_n .Works much better if it's other people's* breakable stuff. I speak from experience.
Works much better if it's other people's* breakable stuff. I speak from experience.
I always hit old pillows. So I can't hurt myself. I realized as a child, that biting instead of hitting the pillow worked much better to channel my rage. Up to the point where the pillow was destroyed and I suddenly had feathers everywhere. Most annoyingly in my mouth.
A friend of mine once broke his wrist because he was hitting the marble windowsill with his fist in a tantrum. Afterwards he had to explain to everyone, how he broke his hand. How humiliating for him, but funny for all the others. ;)
That was the reason my mother recommended the pillow method. ;D
If you do have the space I recommend boxing a sandbag. But put some bandages on your knuckles first and do some low and high kicks hitting the bag. Very satisfying.
The method with breathing slowly and counting to ten never worked for me. Just makes me more angry. I have to let it out.
Nowadays I almost always keep cool. But when I'm really angry once in a while I have to let it out somehow. Don't need that sandbag anymore. A pillow is sufficient. And laughing in the face of anger sometimes works, too.
...And removing snow with a shovel, if snow is available. 8)
A plastic bag Otaln, maybe a fertilizer bag would be more durable, pad it with some spongy stuff and fill it up, no need to buy it. I have one myself.
Have you ever tried shooting? works wonders :)
Regen... heh :D When I had a nokia 3300 I used to throw it at the wall. Very satisfying, and you can put it back together again and it still works.
*Marrionet doesn't respond, but one can feel an ominous aura begin to emit from it*
Hey Otlan. *bows*
*Shrugs* Tired, but still getting up each morning. And yourself?
I know right! Whoever put it together has actually probably played an rpg before. I was pleasantly surprised.
I'm in the process putting together some people to try it. It feels like good material to use for people who aren't your usual suspects for a tabletop game.
Did you see the Wendy's RPG promotion that happened recently?
Not bad. But nothing major to report. Go to work, go home, eat dinner, watch tv, do it all again the next day lol. Mostly boring until the weekend
Hello everyone! Good maen and sorry I was too busy to answer your question, Otlan. My game group is doing nicely, hopefully next week we will have a Saturday night game.
No worries Di-Di n_n ! Very nice XD . Hopfully you guys won't get beat up by anymore Orcs XD .
Good maen, y'all! A Discord update informed me that we might be getting some PT news soon.Good! And thanks for your Pokemon gifts.
This party is specially nomadic for several reasons. First of all, our hometown was destroyed (along with all our families and friends). And second, we are now at the service of the Goddess of Death, and we travel (via portals) to whatever place she has a job for us.
In other topics, they put a Donut store a couple of blocks from home and today we try a few of them for the first time. Quite yummy so I am pleased :)
How did you guys wind up serving Death XD ?
Hi Otlan, it is long to tell, but in summary it was a mistake of an angel who felt sad for us as we were "too young". He unadvertently chaged our destiny and we could not be back to where we were (for reasons) so we were basically out of Fate and the gods did a sort of meeting to decide and that is what they decided.
Regen, I've never seen more than 5 minutes of a rugby match. I never cared for it.
I hope it gets dry and you can do whatever you want in the garden, and reading outside sounds lovely. I live in an apartment, so that is not possible for me. I envy you! And I am wondering if I should begin rereading the JB files now, it's been a while.
Wow XD . Sounds like your DM is a hell of a story teller XD .
Good maen everyone! I am having a sore throat, but tea with honey and lemon is hopefully useful.
Well, yes, he is. Whenever he wants to, which is...not always. He is a talented actor too when he performs some of the NPC. I may be a little biased though, as I am sleeping with him and all :P
Oh-ho, so Dina get's all the good buffs and items huh ;) ?I wish! :P
I'm on my way to Chicago, just got on the train and now I'm on my way. Shame is it's dark as pitch outside so I can't see anything -_- . I will admit, at first I was a little nervous, but everything went smoothly, so that's kind of work off. All of the staff have been very friendly and helpful, so I'm looking forward to this trip n_n .
I wish! :P
Oh, that sounds great. Let us know how the trip goes and have fun! And you need to see the St. Mary of the Angels church :)
You mean he dosn't !? *Le Gasp O_O !!*
*mumbles* integrity mumble somethingsomething mumble equality mumble mumble
:) How are you doing, Otlan?I'm doing grate n_n ! I had my first taste od Deep Dish Pizza and I Loved it XD ! Tomorrow is my frineds big day and I'm excited as hell XD . You know what my frined gave the grooms men for wedding gifts, freaking Wooden Tankers XD !
I am glad you liked it! I have seen pictures of Chicago Deep Dish pizza and it does not appeal me but I am very happy you enjoyed it. And...Wooden Tankers? What is that?
@Otlan
Wow, that is really cool.
I have a more or less neutral relationship with technology, but my cellphones have the "I just want to shut down myself for no reason" too. And I have the same problem with touchscreens sometimes, which is one reason I don't like them-You probably need to clean the battery's power connectors. But I agree about the touchscreens. Only thing I like about them is reading e-books.
My printer at work is always a pain in the ass, which is weird because we change seats and hence printers like every other month. Albeit everything else I could complain about is easily thrown at IT being a pain.Printers are ALWAYS a pain in the ass.
I mean yes, but they tend to want to give me more trouble than my co-workers. Which is rather unfair considering I'm one of like two people there who actually know how to do much anything tech related.
I've never been able to see it performed. =( But we own the movie.I've seen it performed before I knew there was a movie :o
Maen Dina! Empanadas again? You're addicted to the stuff.
Myself I had grilled chicken. I left them to marinate for 3 days and used lemon tree wood to cook them so..... Euphoria.
Well, I have never seen it in theatre (not common here) but I've seen the movie because, as Otlan, I love Tim Curry too. He is one of the best :)Ah, we say here hunger is the best cook :D
The chicken sounds great. But...really? Did I say I eat a lot of empanadas? That is weird, because I only remember to have had them twice since my surgery (the other one was a celebratory occasion, Election Day :)). We Argentinians love empanadas indeed, specially as a side dish for pizza, but I am not having them so often now. It is true I think they are delicious.
Ah, now I see.Yes, and I am not sure if there is even possible for me to have a regional pokemon from an egg. I believe someone told me so once, but I am not sure.
So, if you had a player-friend in Australia, he could send you an egg but not a full grown Pokémon? And that could become an Australia specific one, but it would be more likely it turned out to be an everywhere Pokémon?
If that hypothetical friend would travel to Argentina (or how close does he have to be?) or both of you would for example travel to China, could you send each other Pokémon? They need to be really close but yes, if we found ourselves in a restaurant of China, for instance, we could trade pokemon.
By the way. They are showing "The Thing" on TV. Haven't seen that in a while. The spider-head was the only thing I remembered.
And I could ask my cousin, if he plays. I can imagine he does. Currently he is back in Germany to study, but he travels a lot. I know, he has been to Indonesia and China. Maybe even in Australia.
Wouldn't it be funny, if he was a player and managed to collect the Australian ones, and could be convinced to befriend you and that Argentina would be best for his next travel season? ;)
If it could be done that way and several other big if's. ;D
Frozen 2. The girls are very excited. It is in the cinemas since Wednesday.
Regen, I have the Tangled show in Spanish in...Disney XD, I believe. I supposed is in the original language everywhere, so give it a chance if you can. It's cute and the first season was good (I can't tell about the others, obviously)
We took our demon-spawn to see Frozen. It went well for the most part. I enjoyed Kristoff's song best.Hi, how old are yours? My 5year old was pretty scared sometimes.
I am glad it went well. I will have patience with that movie.Yep, I read it. I have hatched so many 7km eggs that I don't go for them much. My main goal is acquiring 10km eggs. Need to get that Deino. Can't seem to find it in the wild. Finally got my first Nincada. Of the Gen 5 (Unova), I have 39 to 40 different types. Found a group that does Tier 5 raids on Wednesday and have been working the legendaries. Hope things are going well with everyone.
Did you read the dialogue with Regenbogen about Pokemon?
I was having more problems with Cold Days. I was confused, because it appeared to me, that some people were acting, as if Ghost Story never happened, or acting, as if something different had happened. But then I thought, maybe it has and there is a reason that will be explained later. Or never.Haha! You remind me of my mother. Whenever she cleaned our rooms she'd put all the junk in its proper place, where is that? we couldn't say, and neither could she. She never remembered, which is the reason we all scrambled to clean our rooms before she found them too digusting and intervened. I had a space between my bed and the wall that was about 20 cm, completely closed off, and it hid all my treasures (books that I read while pretending to study, gameboy, hidden treats, my bad grade in an Arabic test, etc) and if mother ever cleaned, I was doomed.
But hey, weird! Hello and good maen again.
I wanted to say, that it finally happened: I have outwitted myself! Yeah!
I can't find where I have hidden my husband's birthday present. It's a book.
Where would I hide a book, so that he doesn't see it? I can't even remember, if I left it in the package. Or in which room I hid it. One should NEVER change one's usual hiding places, but I had to do it, since we moved our bedroom into a smaller room, so that our daughter could have a room of her own. Now there is less space to hide presents. ::)
But while searching I found other things that were missing, like my blue wig. And my summer coat. ;D
*Rises out of the Shadows, haveing been summoned back to this plain of exsitance.* Hello all n_n .Hey Otlan! You shall not pass! Go back to the shadows.
Otlan! I've missed you!And I wish I knew someone who wore a blue wig so I can make fun of them. :D
Fcrate, well, that is something, I am glad to hear poor kitten is not in pain.
Regenbogen, you made me laugh. Well, let's search under the bed, between the clean bedsheets and perhaps in a purse. And good for finding things! I wish I had a blue wig.

So much hair..clean and fluffy.. they make my dogs look like they got the mange.
Maen Dina.
LOL! Yes, they are spoiled :), but so lovely.
And ((((Otlan))))
So what mischife have you lot gotten up to while I've been away?
I've got some stardust too, not so much as you, I guess. But I had fun. And yes, in fact in the last battle I did not want to do a rematch because I was near my stop (I was commuting) but the button to left the battle had disappeared, so I had to click rematch.
I will battle you again whenever I can.
Not much, but my country is having a new president starting today (Dec. 10)! :)
Whoo-hoo n.n ! Let's hope they do better then the last bone head n_n .I do hope so. At least, it is quite difficult to do it worse. We have so much hope right now.
Maen all. Hey Otlan.
*raises hand too* I don't like using the phone either, but I still do it.
Hello everyone, Jin, DC, so good to have you back. Otlan, thanks, but I am doubtful. Trump representative threw a tantrum and left early because in the ceremony (our president being invested) there was a representative from Maduro, from Venezuela, and Rafael Correa, former president of Ecuador was there too.
Don't worry, Otlan, and I won't keep talking about that. I will only comment one thing, I remember many years ago (more than 4) we were talking here in the forums about the person responsible of economics here (I don't remember the USA similar position, Secretary of Treasury, I believe) who was a hit on the news of USA because of his good looks. Well, now, older but still quite handsome, he is the governor of the biggest of our provinces (Imagine, being the governor of California)
@Regen: *Hands you a Tobagan named Rosebud* Go nuts Kiddo XD !LOL! Would love to. But the nice snow has been replaced by rain and storm. There is wet mud now. The snow will be back soon, I hope. Knew it would not last.
Wait, how did you guys get ahold of Arnold O_O !? I kid of course XD . But seriously, I did not know that. Hope he's doing a good job at least
This morning at 6:30 the cat was bored and disturbed my sleep (I had planned to sleep very long). Apparently she was hungry. I let her out, got back into bed, fell asleep again, cat came back with a still squeaking mouse, which she ate beside my bed. I was to slow to stop her. Yuck! At least she could have brought one for me too. ;)
After wiping away the blood stains it was a lazy day. I did nothing but eating, crocheting and some reading (still Ghost Story, but I'm almost done).

Much better than the alternative, though now I have a red carpet (heh).

LOL! Would love to. But the nice snow has been replaced by rain and storm. There is wet mud now. The snow will be back soon, I hope. Knew it would not last.
A day to stay inside. To improve my mood I took rainbow coloured wool and started to crochet a cap for my little daughter. I love making coloured things with wool, and am lucky my kids like to wear them. Because I don't. ;D Just want to make them.
I mostly wear black. A black winter cap is boring to make.

@Fcrate: was the hunt successful?
@Regen: Congratulations. LOL! But maybe a biology lesson is in order :PDamn, should have listened better during biology lessons. ;D
Can I have some of that fondue?
I think we will hang chicken, duck, beef, lamb and pork and Wiener sausages (the kids like them) into the fondue. There will be mushrooms and Brussels sprouts, too. And several dips and sauce. Bread and salad to pretend it's healthy. Though we don't use fat or oil any more. Since my mother has a bad stomach, we always use soup in the pot. The meat takes longer, but you can eat more.Yum... *drools* And yes, I love cooking with soup. Did you ever try boiling pasta in chicken or meat soup instead of water? If not, then you're missing out.
That's the tricky part of the fondue. You eat little pieces, and you don't notice, you have eaten too much until it is too late.
After that I have to sing at church with an extremely full belly. It will be fun.
*Dances a Merry Jig as I read the news that Trump has been Impeached.* I got what I wanted for Christmas XD <3 ! There is a God XD <3 !!Don't want to burst your bubble, but it'll probably amount to nothing.
>:(Don't want to burst your bubble, but it'll probably amount to nothing.
@Otlan: Put in the effort, and you'll get a fair share. Come over and fetch for us and you'll get the guts, heads and bones. :D
@Dina: I'll stop pissing you off now! *trembling with fear and checking every shadow in the room*. Recharge yourself with some fresh juice and maybe a lazy hour in a chair infront of a window? :D
@Regen: Congratulations. LOL! But maybe a biology lesson is in order :P

O.O ! Guess Mab didn't like you talking back to her -_- . Might I sugest makeing a Sacrifice as a peace offering?:o I begin to believe you might be right. Today I slipped on hidden ice on the sidewalk, when I didn't watch out for a second. I fell on my bad knee. Now it's blue and swollen. And my back hurts. At first I was just grateful I listended to my inner voice not to take the bike, although I was being late. Slipping with the bike could have turned out worse. And I was glad that nothing happened to my violin I had on my back.
The knee is better now. I put some salve on it, cooled it and put pressure on over night. Now the swelling is gone and I can almost walk without limping.
@everyone who are celebrating Christmas and are allowed to share a home with cats:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iUECzbdYIdc
@Otlan: promise: no more ice skating. I think Mab and I have come to an understanding now that she's had her fun with me. I even openly admired her malicious plan to let it rain in the early evening so that she can turn all the water to ice during the night. Very clever.
@Fcrate: We often eat noodle soup. :)
But there is a Swabian dish I like better. It's called Maultaschensuppe. It is sooo delicious. I have a link. The link says it is supposed to be like Italian ravioli, but they don't taste alike. Maultaschen are better. ;) (sorry, Italy, I still love you:) and your food) You can eat them cooked in soup or you can cut them and fry them in a pan with onions or leek.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maultasche
Yes! So fun! Sometimes I still say "you are not thinking in the 4th dimension, Marty" and one of my friends always do the "think McFly"only he only hits his own head (when telling himself he has been stupid) or the table (when he is mocking someone else). And of course, many other references are around.
Happy new year!!!
I'm tired now and had some drinks, so I'm going to bed soon. The kids endured till 1AM. The cat stayed calm till midnight. After the fireworks, we found her in the laundry. Now she's gone to bed with the kids.
Bed sounds nice. I intend to stay there for at least one day. ;)
Yes, I miss the Beetle too...
Hello Otlan!
Hello from Snowmageddon! We are completely snowed in this morning, and with any luck that will continue until the weekend. How's everyone doing?
(((((Otlan))))
How are you?
Ey, do you think we could continue the RPG thread? I am sure the others will come if it is active again. I can even PM them.
All is well, Otlan, as I am in vacation. What is staycation? In any case, have fun!
I wish everyone a very good maen? Have you seen the excerpt of Peace Talks?https://ew.com/books/2020/01/16/jim-butcher-peace-talks-preview/amp/
(https://ew.com/books/2020/01/16/jim-butcher-peace-talks-preview/amp/)
Hello all!I've watched many pieces of many episodes (I don't know which seasons, but they were different) but rarely a full episode, as I'm not very keen on watching TV, but I always liked what I saw. The action, explanations and humor always reminded me of Harry Dresden's novels, and I always pictured Harry looking close to Sam in my head.
Well, I've seen all the Supernatural episodes so far so...I understand what you said about it being funny. The show has peaks and lows but I always liked it and I will miss it even when I understand that it had to end someday. And apparently we will be seeing Jared Padalecki (Sam) as the main character in a new Walker Texas Ranger.
Currently we have a feline guest in our house. It was a cold night and still cold day. We opened the door this morning to see if she wanted to leave. She did but then she came back 1o minutes later. Presently sleeping on our son's bean bag chair. Wife is allergic, don't know if son is allergic, so far as I know, I'm not. Eats tuna like a beast.
Have you been to Columbia before?Colombia. And no, I haven't (but I stayed a few hours in the airport, so technically I was in Colombian soil). I am planning to have a lot if coffee :)
You...may be right ;D
I will post in the RPG as soon I came back from doing a few errands.
Good maen everyone! How are you doing?
It has rained at the morning here, and now we are having some womderful temperature (around 22°C)
Edited: I threw a small tantrum today bacause I accidentally dropped a big cut of watermelon to the floor. Of course, it cause a bit of problem, first because I had to cut and discard a part of the watermelon. And I had to collect and throw to the garbage all the small bits of watermelon spread in the floor and, of course, wash the floor and make sure there is nothing left. Obviously, I swore a lot, which reminds me to share that we Argentinian swear a lot. It is always fun to see the articles/news about USA and how some profanity is considered such an awful thing there.
In another side note, profanity has the same root that the Spanish "profanidad" or "profano" which are used for something against religion, a sort of sacrilege, not something against morality or being a prude. A blasphemy in the strict religious sense.
Maen all, hey Otlan. *waves*
Sounds like a wonderful place to live Dina :D
Some things just rub you the wrong way and the only relief is cursing out loud. Very satisfying. Also "Profano" sounds very close to "Profane" in English, which has the same meaning that you explained.
Minion earned a nice juicy dinner today and yesterday, as she successfully hunted down two mice from my room. Yesterday was a regular kill, with her sniffing the mouse and locating it, and me moving furniture and junk around to give her easy access till snap-gulp-thank you for joining us for breakfast, we enjoyed your company.
Today though was a bit special, woke up late, and was drinking a bottle of water and rubbing her back. She was relaxed and purring and everything, when she suddenly disappeared from under my hand, and 200 milliseconds later she was 3 meters away catching a mouse that just streaked along the wall. She was very proud of that kill, played with it and kept getting my attention for half an hour, showing me her good work before she finally ate it. (Red carpet-woohoo). It was the fastest I ever saw her move.
Hello people.
Fcrate, I can't help but feel sorry for the mice, but I am happy for minion, and I am glad you rewarded her. She is doing very well.
Otlan, oh, luckily I had saved a good slice of watermelon before the debacle. And about swearing, of course there are some degrees, and obviously you can't do it in very formal situation, but if you are at work, drop something to the floor and swear, nothing happens. And in normal conversations with friends, coarse words are very, very common. Sometimes there is nothing better to express yourself.
LOL! yes, it was delicious.
And it would be nice to see you here.
Weather has been much nicer, with some hours of 13°C, with is clearly low for this time of the Summer, so I am pleased. They are forecasting a hot day tomorrow but it is ok because we had that break.

To be honest, Otlan, I just discard the seeds. Nothing creative or anything. And about the weather, I can't complain. This has been a much better Summer than the few previous ones. It was high time, those years I've felt that I was living in the Equator itself.
Ooohhh, well if/when I get down there, we need to have a Watermelon seed spitting contest XD .Hah! You remind me of my childhood. Had those all the time. My brother used to mime a crank with his hand next to his ear and start spitting seeds like a gattling gun. :D

ugh, yes, that happens sometimes and is awful.
"Since when has the army had fucking HR?!"Well done. LOL
Well done. LOL
I have to admit, that I do swear a lot. In some situations it is very relieving. The Bavarian dialect has a lot of interesting swear words and phrases. Would be a pity not to use them. ;)
In my childhood we spit cherry stones at each other. Boys against girls. It was disgusting and funny at the same time.
And by the way: one of my younger colleagues has blue hair now. I think she was a bit confused when she noticed my silly smile.
Glad you didn't drop the watermelon this time, Dina :P
@Otlan: Right now, in the market: Bananas, citrus, oranges (for eating), strawberries (early harvest). Pomegranate season ended a month ago.
We also have other fruit that's not in season now, and some imported apples (Green apples and Red apples).
In summer, we'll have oranges (for juice), watermelon, canteloupes (orange core and green core), figs, barbary figs, grapes of all kinds, a good variety of mangoes, our local apples.
Our local apples are the best of all. They're a light red streaked with green or the other way around. They're crunchy, juicy, tart and sweet at the same time in a perfect blend, and they don't have the annoying sponginess of red apples.
That's all I can remember right now.
I've had a weird time with swearing in the military. In a regular line unit, where it's just soldiers, no one really cares. But once you get to a higher echelon unit, like where I'm at now, and there's civilians working with us, all of a sudden it's not okay.Huh. Weird. I've heard my boss's boss say "god f***ing da***t" is probably higher than almost anyone else in the store. Granted, I work retail and she's a manager...
My supervisor pulled me aside when I first got here, and he told me to stop swearing before one of the civilians files a complaint with HR. My reply? "Since when has the army had fucking HR?!"
That supervisor gave up on getting me to stop swearing pretty quick.
My bad, it's also called a Buddha's Hand Fruit, this thing.

Given the name, I would have to guess it comes from Indiia.
Sorry about the pain by sleeping in the couch, Regen. About PT I am pretty sure it won't have 200 pages only, and I have faith it won't be disappointing. So try to relax, send that nightmare to oblivion and hopefully you will have better dreams tonight.
@Otlan, well, to be honest, not all Argentinian women are that beautiful, but I promise you, if you ever come here you will see many pretty ladies, we have a nice mix so you have different physical types and a good percentage are beautiful.
LOL!
I just wanted to say hello to everyone and I need to disappear now (for just some hours, don't worry)
Beauty is a secoundary concern Dina XD . I'd be more intrested in a woman who was willing to talk to me and woudn't smack or scorn me for talking to her XD .I laughed because of that, Otlan ^
I laughed because of that, Otlan ^
I liked it. And "Toss a coin to your witcher" is infectious :)
Why is that funny ??
Beauty is a secoundary concern Dina XD . I'd be more intrested in a woman who was willing to talk to me and woudn't smack or scorn me for talking to her XD .Hmmm... I detect a strong case of low self esteem! chin up mate, one day... one day, you'll meet a woman who can see you without slitting her own throat, and she'll be very smart, kind, beautiful and with a body that can cause the third world war. And then she'll tell you that she's already married. b-bye :P
I like the fighting scenes and the way the story is told.
I don't know, it sounded like a joke, specially because you put two "XD".
For me too. After 9 years as a single. It took me two years to get over a love that didn't love me back. At least he was honest with me. The you-are-my-best-friend talk and so on.
And about what you told Otlan, I know it was like that for me. I distinctly remember one day that I decided I was feeling great as I was, with no partner. It was the same semester I began to get closer to the person who I chose to live my life with.
After that I was looking and looking. Even was on some dates. But those were all guys who were too different from me. No interest in science fiction or fantasy or music. And I realized that I was not myself during those dates. I was playing a role I thought they liked. That was wrong.
A few months before we got together I had accepted, that I would probably live my life alone.
My husband I knew for some years before I realized he was the one. We were singing together.
There's a lot of jokes going around in the gaming circles involving beer, death, retaliation with virus attacks and well wishes for a vacation in china.

#°!/&~ >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( :( :( :(
We had 2 deaths :'(. Both persons have previous health issues. That's sad.
The government stated today that for now, they are not going to close schools (classes began a few days ago) because they think it would make things worse. Children are not a risk group and apparently it is better to have them confined several hours each day.
Meanwhile, it appears that my university decided to postpone the beginning of the classes until March 30 (they were supposed to begin next week)
Just checking in to see how everyone's doing. Our schools all closed so I have to teach online until May 1st.
I didn't realize the forum was still around until recently.
Hi Regen, exactly the same happened here. Too many people going to the beach (in other cities, Buenos Aires has a river but not beach) or gathering at the parks, for instance. And then, a few special stupid cases. To quote the late great Spongebob Squarepants, that is...advanced stupid.
1) a man (let's call him A) in a province received word of an ex-flame (B) who basically wanted to cheat on her husband with A. B lived in another province, and the two of them met at her house. Then B told A that she has arrived from Spain a few days ago...and that she was feeling a little ill. A did not care and they do..well, all. But then is when it gets crazy. A decided to get back to his province, where his friends invited him to a bbq party. He went and jokingly commented about his "adventure". People reacted logically, denounced it to the authorities and the whole town (aprox. 2500 people) went in quarantine since a few days ago. Now A and B are confirmed positive to COVID.
2) an Argentinian man in Uruguay was in observation for Covid, in a hospital. He escaped and took a boat (around 400 people) back home. The Uruguays discovered that he escaped and warned our authorities before the boat arrived here. So now the 400 people are in quarantine here (they allowed them to arrive and isolated them in several hotels specially for them)

*finishes reading the excerpt* Harry's sanding in a giant humanoid footprint, huh?
I wonder..... ???
If you read the small description of Battle Ground, you will (almost sure) have the answer about the footprint. But don't read it if you don't want spoilers! :)I did.
I'm fine. At home now. We have watched How to tame your dragon as series with the kids. Now they should sleep. Theoretically. And we grown-ups want to watch Picard. I was too tired the last days. The kids will be at home until at least April 19th.
Today I realised, that I have a plan for the years reading order. ;D
I have an audible abonnement on amazon now. I pay 9,95€ each month and there is one audio book included. The first 30 days I got two audio books for free without even paying the 9,95€. I didn't plan it that way, but if I get one audio book every month, I will be at Skin Game by July. Perfect. And in time for Peace Talks. Maybe get the PT audio in August, then comes Battle Ground in September. In December the new Alex Verus will be out. Cool.
I'm through with Turn Coat audio book. Now I'm continuing to read False Value by Aaronovitch. After that Smoke Bitten by Patricia Briggs (= the newest Mercy Thompson ). And there are some other books that interest me. That's great. I won't be without a book for the whole year.
This week I will stay home from work. It's Team #2's turn now. One of our doctors is in intensive care now. That's sad. But not yet on a respirator. I hope he gets better soon.
As for my Baby's birthday: Maybe I can ask her friends to sing Happy Birthday for her. I'm sure, they will do it.
A long distance hello.
I'm currently home sick with this swiving virus.
It kind of prompted me to pop in and say hello.
I can't promise I'll be here often, but I'm going to try.
Stay safe and stay weird.
I could murder a banana cake right now... I want to flip that cake out and take a huge bite (No slicing).Me too. I can still find smudges of tomato sauce that I dropped two days ago. It was everywhere. Even on the ceiling. I tried to catch it. Managed to, but you know what happens to liquids in containers that are not closed, when you shake them brutally. LOL
Btw, your kitchen is ridiculously clean :s Makes me feel guilty.
Boric acid was first registered in the US as an insecticide in 1948 for control of cockroaches, termites, fire ants, fleas, silverfish, and many other insects. The product is generally considered to be safe to use in household kitchens to control cockroaches and ants. It acts as a stomach poison affecting the insects' metabolism, and the dry powder is abrasive to the insects' exoskeletons.[40][41][42] Boric acid also has the reputation as "the gift that keeps on killing" in that cockroaches that cross over lightly dusted areas do not die immediately, but that the effect is like shards of glass cutting them apart. This often allows a roach to go back to the nest where it soon dies. Cockroaches, being cannibalistic, eat others killed by contact or consumption of boric acid, consuming the powder trapped in the dead roach and killing them, too.
If your children like rocks they might enjoy the river where I live, the Ohio. It has a large fossil bed exposed at low water, quite extensive. A look into the past. At high water the rapids pound the rocks. It sounds like giants, beating on drums. You feel it in your chest. Today there are extensive bike paths along the river and a large park over an area where heavy industry once existed.

So I just recorded some silly children's songs today and sent them to other families and to the choir to sing along. LOL
Maen everyone... Everything quiet on the eastern front.. How about you?
Well, I haven't worn a mask or gloves during this entire fiasco, and I'm still unhugged.
Hugs back!I can totally relate to hyperventilating. Today when I took my lunch 3 floors up at work, the escalators didn't work and I had to walk their big stairs up. Damn, was I breathing hard. After that I almost cursed myself for not taking desert. I felt, I earned it. LOL
I live in a first floor (as in the British way, so not the ground floor) and the stairs for that only floor become a problem when having grocery bags and, specially, while wearing face masks. I was hyperventilating for a few moments.
