Well, I assume you have more than one story set in this universe.....
You could introduce these "Minor Races" to help throw light on your three "Major Races". Is one of these minor races used as heavy or cheap labor by one of the major races? If so, how are they treated by the major race --- slave labor or valuable resource? You can use the minor races to show facets of the major races' mindset.

Well, Outcast Ops: African Firestorm is finished!
Actually, finished it last month, sent it to my co-author who looked it over, made a few changes, sent it back for me to make a few more changes, then sent it back for approval. He let me know he's sending it off to the formatter. Hopefully, it'll be out this month!

African Firestorm's First Draft is done!
Sent it off to the other guy to look over and see what needs to be rewritten. I know it needs some changes (I'm no Rex Stout), so untill then, back to Battletech stories!!

In my case, I had to go back and rip apart several chapters because I was making things too complex when they didn't need to be. Back on track now, and the WC for African Firestorm is now 59.1K.....

Had to make a major change to African Firestom's plot --- now at 59K, don't know what the effect going to be once I'm done. The Death Throne is sinking fast at only 8.4K
