Well, they might put them out as double-sided DVDs. Same as the House DVDs and they fit a 22-ep season on 3 DVDs. So that makes me think 2 disks for the eps, one for the extras. Something like that.

Gawd, I hope not. Double-sided discs make me nervous - twice as much surface area to scratch up and kill your discs.

Any info or rumors on whether there will be another season?

This is a test. This is only a test.

*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*

This has been a test of the Emergency Season 2 Broadcast System. Had there been actual news, you would have heard one of two sounds:

The Cheer Heard 'Round the World: signal to be used in case of renewal.

The Wailing Heard as far as Beetlegeuse: alarm signalling the end of civilization as we know it.

*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*

I kind of use them like an after dinner or pre bedtime drink to wind down :D

I quite regularly set the Sleep Timer on my TV, cue up a TDF ep, lie down, and fall asleep to Harry's voice. :)

I don't have rights to the intellectual property of the TV show, so effectively, yes.

Ah. Thanks for the answer.

I'm better now. :)

*goes off to read, looking for quotes* - well, I would if I wasn't at work and didn't have to pack and move and...

Are shirt quote suggestions limited to the books?

Sometimes I feel people have lost sight of the bigger picture. The simple truth is that we owe Robert and his lead stars (Paul Blackthorne and Terrance Mann) our heartfelt gratitude for bringing Butcher's delightful characters even further to life, and in doing it so very well despite the constraints they fight against in terms of time/money/corporate politics. They do a fantastic job.

So, to Robert, Paul, Terrance, and all the others who work on this show and do their best to make it a good one:

THANK YOU!!
THANK YOU!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!

Your efforts are appreciated.

What she said. :D I for one haven't lost sight of that bigger picture, and I sincerely apologize if I ever sound like I have. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Paul*, Terrence, Robert, Valerie, and everyone else involved with the production. Thanks for all you do!

*(yes, even at my worst "fangirl," I respect the hell out of Paul - he's too talented not to respect him.)

"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't an invisible demon about to eat your face."

Of course! Why didn't I think of that?! :D (Why didn't anyone mention that line yet?)

Part of my problem with this thread is that most of the lines I like the most are the punchlines to paragraph-long bits, and don't really work as one-liners...

just called the Huntington Beach Barnes&Noble, they said:

no restrictions, no tickets, show up, take pictures, bring all your friends... (seriously that's what the guy told me!)

so, it should be a great time!

Aw, sorry I missed it! :( Even though Mom, Sister, and I got lots of progress in on the packing since I got home earlier than I expected. And Sister, Nephew, and I saw Meet the Robinsons...

I've been posting the ratings info as I get it on the SciFi Channel Scheduling and Info thread.  Still waiting for some numbers for the first solo outing this past weekend.

Not to gall Lee's kibe*, but I'm just the overly helpful type. :) The thread he mentions is here. BTW, Lee, I don't think I've said it in a while - THANK YOU for keeping us up-to-date on those numbers. :)

*points if you get the reference

*ahem*

Lovely! And the back is wonderfully silly! ;D

In the midst of the financial crunch known as Changing Jobs & Moving, but I know what I want as soon as I'm settled! ;)

Options are good. Just sayin'. (in other words, can we see some more quotes, too? *bats eyes*)

In San Francisco, if that makes any difference. :)

It's an intentional change in order to keep the size of posts down.  People aren't bothering to trim the quotes; I'm not changing it back.

Thanks for the response, Iago. I suspected as much. I do understand. :) *sigh*

You young whipper snappers who can write your own code!

Well, don't be too impressed - all I meant by "code" in that usage was that instead of using the buttons above the Post Reply box, I simply type in the [ b ] or [ quote ] or [ img ] tags. :D My other board uses the same tags (and has an annoying habit of putting whatever tag at the END of your post instead of where you intended it to be), so I'm used to doing so.

See, and I feel the opposite way.  You can alter a quote when you quote, so I found it is better to go to the original post when quoting quotes.

But when there's a back-and-forth, and the person before you quoted the post, then doesn't go into detail about what they're responding to, and you respond to them without a lot of detail, it's easy (for me, anyway) to lose track of what was originally being talked about. Besides, being able to quote and then not have to go into detail saves on repetition: "Remember when Blaze said....".

It has also saved me a lot of deleting when I want to respond to the person's comment and not need the quote they cited.

*shrugs* I don't mind deleting. But then, I also type in my own coding most of the time, rather than using the buttons. :) I must just like making more work for myself. LOL

I agree.

:P LOL!

On the one hand, it is nice to not have to trim out the older quotes, but sometimes I like those there.

*nods* Like I said, it helps in back-and-forth discussion, or when posts in a discussion build on previous comments. But it IS annoying when someone quotes the whole post, then responds vaguely without specifying to what they are responding. Trimming is helpful. :)

Has anyone tried quoting a post with imbedded quotes rather than direct quotes, or multiple quotes in one post? How is that being handled?

Last time I tried quoting a post where the respondant had broken up the post they'd quoted (as I'm doing here), my "Post reply" window still just had the new text, which was a tad confusing.

I prefer the old way of doing it. I can trim the excess on my own if I want to, but I like having the option of it being there. This is especially true if you are having a discussion on multiple points. and want to break up the quote to deal with each point separately.

Thanks. :) At least I know it's not just me.
