Heh heh heh - Love it already ... :D
-
Aaaand show notes updated.
-
Iiiiiiiii sound like a speech therapist! Let me know what you guys think. Too slow? Still too fast? Too silly? (NEVER too silly!)
-
I thought it was perfectly paced this time, Priscellie. And I want that sound bite from the end "Tiny.. but fierce!" Who did that?
I wonder if there's a way to plug that in to my avatar... heh.
-
What *I* think is that with all the goombahs around you makin' da beetsa, you have to go with CALIFORNIA pizza? *shakes head sadly*

James Marsters on the Small Favor audio book. His Sanya is FANTASTIC. And all low and rumbly and delicious, mmmmm.

I discovered the restaurant in Dallas and fell in love. It transcends geography!
-
I LOVES it.
-
Also, take note of the new image graphic for the 'Spress! It's a companion to the autographed butcher block for the main 'cast. Jim signed it for me at NY Comic Con. :D
(http://libsyn.com/images/butcherblock/spress.jpg)
(And yes, the pizza depicted is Santa Fe Chicken from California Pizza Kitchen. Grilled chicken breast marinated in lime and herbs, caramelized onions, Mozzarella cheese and cilantro. Topped with fresh tomato salsa, sour cream and fresh guacamole. Ah loooooooves it, precious...)
-
You do know that Harry would smack you for that, right?
-
Smack me for the pizza or smack me for recreating Toot's famous box knife?
Or smack me for not finishing the pizza, like a proper faerie?
-
Yes.
1) Pizza toppings are dead mammals and their products. Period.
2) "This is MY box knife."
3) Leave one piece out and you'll never get them out of the house.
-
I LOVES it.
I agree with this statement

1. I think as long as it doesn't have tofu or weird vegetables, Harry would be cool with it.
2. Actually, it's my friend John's box knife!
3. At least I got an exterminator out of it! I live in New York, after all. :D

Priceless. I don't care what Shecky says, this is perfect. (And I like your taste in pizza too!)

1) You sure you want to chance that? Pizza purists are hard to convince. ;)
2) I can live with that, but still, "This is MY box knife."
3) And finally, the fae have met their match: the NYC cockroach. Even with Mab about to stomp one, it would look at her with a face that says, "WHAT, bltch."

~laughes~ Yeah I could see the last one.
-
Its probably because I am easily pleased, but I didn't think there was anything wrong with the last Butch'Spress. Except maybe the constant apologies for it being "too long". It was just fine. This one was great too. I didn't hear anything worth complaining about. Good job, Ms. Prisc.
-
Like JRBobC, I thought that both this and the previous Butcher 'Spress were well done. The pacing of both was fine to my ears. Having more, shorter podcasts is a great idea! I can't wait for the next one 8)
-
Oh, 'Cellie honey, methinks you were hurting yourself working so hard to speak at human rates. ;) Your Southern doesn't show as much as mine does (not in the pronunciation, just in the pacing, phrasing and expressions).
You are such a fangrrl. That's a good thing, unlike my usual snark set-up. :D
-

Yeah, I should have re-recorded the opening after finding my stride later in the episode. It's kind of painful. :D
And as for the fannishness... Fred and I are doing a podcast as fellow fans for fellow fans, less as authorities from on high, so getting completely geeked about Jimstuff is entirely apropos. :D
-
Heh. I wouldn't call it painful. Especially when it reminds me of Dory from Finding Nemo talking to the whales. ;)
As I said, your fangrrldom is a fun thing in a podcast. And haven't you realized that DOING the podcast makes you an authority on high? I mean, jeez, they made a Goddess thread for you - and someone who has the presence of mind to bring an orange box knife to Jim for signing ain't quite a vanilla mortal. :P
-

Is true. *genuflects and leaves pizza at your altar.*
-
*consumes the pizza, with great decorum*

Hee, I never said I wasn't an authority on high. The idea that I am kind of weirds me out, but I accept it. But I choose to emphasize the Fangirl aspect of my personality more than the Privileged Beta aspect, because a podcast of "You know all those theories you have about [blank]? They're all wrong! But I'm not gonna tell you what happens, nyah nyah!" would result in my immediate tar and feathering. :D
-
Probably wise. Sue started looking at me funny when I started the beta, and while she claimed not to want to know in advance, she kept asking sideways questions that amounted to the same thing... but if I had answered her or done ANYTHING other than avoiding the question altogether, I would've been gutted and left for the cats. ;D
And there's no way to consume a pizza with decorum of any flavor unless you're using fork and knife, and then you get whapped with the frou-frou bat.

Wouldn't know about pizza, I hate cheese so I don't eat that often.
As for the tar and feathering, while an amusing image, I think it would likely be pitchforks, torches, cloves of garlic, and stakes to be burned on. ;D
-
I hate cheese
Speaking of pitchforks and torches...
*eyebrows with extreme prejudice*
-
It puts him in good company. Jim hates cheese, too.
-
Jim's already been heckled by me on that subject (you seriously don't remember my squawking at PhauxCon about it?!? :o ). Then again, I guess we're all allowed ONE major character flaw... ;D
-
I was saying that for the benefit of those that weren't there. I certainly remember! I was squawking just as loudly. :D

I can't muscle my way past the gag reflex.

Mr. Butcher is merely exhibiting good taste.
-
Pace was perfect and Princeps' Fury hardcover surprise was incredible. thanks

A properly-placed pitchfork tine will take care of that overdeveloped gag reflex. And Jim DOES have good taste - that's the exception that proves the rule. Cheese is the perfect food. *nods sagely and benevolently*
-
infectious enthusiasm!! ;D
-
Cheese is the perfect food.
To gag and vomit too. ;D
Anyhoo. I don't think I said that one of the things I like about the 'Spress Casts is the new information. Usually when the irregular one comes up the "news" is old. This one had some newie's and goodies. Mainly the Princep's Fury cover.
-
Great Episode :)
-
You sound like Faith Salie's highly amused sister. Which is a good thing.

Yeah, that's our intent here. The Spress casts will be frequent enough (monthly) that the news is reasonably current. While the Block is more about the "timeless" stuff for fandom -- conversations and interviews.
-
I just got to listen :D I've been out of town.
P~ As one of the slow ears people. Awesome. :D Perfect
Happy for the Alera love :D
Love the James Clips from Small Favor.
ITA about the awesomeness of Welcome to the Jungle. As not a comic fan, I had preordered and planned to only get the hardback in Oct just to keep my Butcher collection complete but the amazing artwork sucked me into my first ever traditional comic.
Wonderful information. It makes me feel better cause when I think of how long till the next books I want to cry.
-
So I just finished listening to this one... yeah i know I'm late but I been away, any way I thought the pacing on both was fine but then again I tend to, how was it put, Main line Monster (Red bull tastes nasty). But I enjoy every time I get one of these little Butcher info nuggets. I'm still waiting for the Return of a Jim interview seeing as he's so busy though I can accept that wait. Hopefully I'll at least get something signed at ComicCon
P.S. So any way I went to a CPK to try one of these and Priscilla... Your precious, it's burns us.... forgot to let it cool.
-
Silly! Did you at least enjoy it after your taste buds regained sensation?
-
Yes is was lovely. never put sour cream on a pizza before, it was a very pleasant change of pace.
Cheese is the perfect food.
and I have to slightly disagree, Cheese and BACON are the perfect food

Cheesy bacon mmmm...
-
Oh, and I too enjoyed the podcast. Whether in mini for full form, I always look forward to them.

Wonderful! I'm putting the finishing touches on my script right now, so you can expect the next episode in the next few days. :D

Awesome!
-
I'm still waiting for my personalized outtakes from the last one.
I mean, I haven't filled up all my computer sounds, yet.
(PS: That's a joke. I'm not really resetting all my error messages to the sounds of Pris flubbing a line.)

*shakes head sadly again* Still not the same.
