Thing is, we might have already gotten some of this.  From the way I interpret Cold Days, a lot of the older Gods are just masks for various Immortals.  Heck, it wouldn't shock me if Mab was also Hera.

So, its possible that we might have seen more than we think, we just don't recognise them, because they're not wearing that particular immortal mask.

Heimdal could be Mac, Freya might be Mab, highly doubt we have seen Vidarr.

17
Honestly I just want more Norse gods, mostly folks like Freya, Vidarr, and Heimdal (this goes double if it is Mac and he gets in the game).

18
IIRC according to Bob it's because first impressions tend to stick.

So Harry was into mass orgies, and is a ummm upper curves man?

19
yes, buts its also your definition three, ya see :)

ok, where is Shecky?

YOOO HOOO GRAMMAR GOD WHERE ARE YOU ?!

If I'm getting this correctly, WK would be two but no three, but the demonreach would be three and not two. That is the WK tries to change him, while demonreach offers something but so far hasn't tried to change him (besides giving him a job).

Fafnir

Will we learn more of about what got Lovecraft killed/will the mythos of Lovecraft take a more predominate role in the series down the road?

Hence the phrase that seems to be more important that any other...  "No matter where you go, there you are."  Somewhere in this series (I forget where) there is a conversation between Harry and someone else where it's stated that linear time really doesn't exist, but that's how a mortal's mind perceives time.  It could have been Uriel, or maybe Leanansidhe.  I think it was in Ghost Story.  Einstein would agree since he spent his last few years as a scientist stating that past, present and future all exist simultaneously.  They are a single existence.

In other words... "No matter where you go, there you are."

It twas Uriel, page 470 hard cover copy, chapter fifty one.

I would argue that to some extent the intention of the power use matters as much as the source of the power.  The use of soulfire to create a construct that kills, however accidentally, would be a misuse of the power.  On the other hand the use of Hellfire to defend another, without killing, is good.  Simplistic I know, but it illustrates my point.

This is my point exactly, and it turns the question into will Harry corrupt soulfire or change the winter mantle first?

Did anyone else find it odd that the garment fit him perfectly?  Even better than the one Susan bought him?

And where do you think Molly bought it from on the internet that she could have a custom made leather duster delivered in under 6 hours from time of order?

Elves perhaps?

Or a place in Chicago who got paid A LOT by a limitless credit card?

Sounds dumbass even to my while I type...but I like like the symetry (sp.!)

Fallen Angels (Denarians) have shadows.  Copies that have a life of their own.
Harry has a shadow (subconscious harry).  Which can interact without his knowledge with other shadows

Harry part angel?

darker thought, that is the source harry draws from to fuel his soulfire spells, each time he uses them he becomes a bit closer to ID Harry. Thus as corrupts the original intention of the soulfire (creation) it corrupts him to his darker ID. New hypothesis time!

Leave it to Harry to take something seemingly pure and taint it, just as he purified some taint earlier.

Interesting, this requires further research and re-reading.

Thanks. I wonder in TDF universe if Zeus is another of the faces that Odin wears. I would hope not since Zeus was arrogant, a rapist and the world's worst deadbeat dad but it would be interesting in light of the battle between Zeus and the Titans.

you forgot bestiality, he did love his bestiality.....

or if you prefer, inter-species erotica.

Can you give me a reference for this. I would like to see it. I love the idea. Some of the titans had a fifty heads or a hundred arms. That would be hard to do with humanlike heads or arms but if you think of snakes for the heads or tentacles for the arms you would have creatures that sound very much like the Outsiders, at least if they are Lovecraftian as most suspect. At least one was a Cyclops. If, in fact, the theory that the name the Mothers have in common is Gaia things get even more interesting. Gaia was the mother of the Titans and the Giants. She was also the mother of Typhon according to some legends had a hundred heads (sometimes dragon heads) and whose bottom half was the coils of a gigantic viper. He reached to the stars and was covered in wings. She (Gaia) was also the mother (with Tartarus who was a being as well as a place) of Typhon's wife Echidna who is often referred to as the "Mother of Monsters".  Depending on the myth, she is said to be the mother of a great many monsters including Cerebrus and the Nemedian Lion. If both theories (that Demonreach was Tartarus and that the Mothers are faces of Gaia) are true then that would open the door for all kinds of interesting things.

Jim: 5) I said that they were real in that world. Whether or not they actually /exist/ is a different story. The Titans got their asses handed to them by Zeus and company, and were imprisoned, destroyed, or consigned to oblivion. How do you imprison a Titan? Funny you should ask...

AMA before CD was released.
