Tbh I thought that Mab would be a fan of Walt, seeing as his company has convinced the last few generations that Faeries are kind, helpful, and trustworthy creatures.

I mean we know from WoJ that Mab can straight-up rip the hunger out of a Wampire (though she'd be to brutal to leave much of the fleshbag part intact) so she could probably put one to sleep yeah.

Though I'm not sure if she'd bother. She might just go:

"I've made it clear to Miss Raith the consequence of her outright eating you Wizard, if you are so weak that you can't handle her taking a little off the top then you're obviously too weak to be of any further use to me. Are you telling me that?"

I'd expect Marriagus Interruptus myself, so that Harry has to deal with the fallout of both seemingly embarrassing Mab by bailing at the last second, and the fallout of seemingly leaving Lara freaking Raith at the Altar.

As hilarious as watching Lara panic because loving someone is a level of weakness she would never afford herself and watching Harry angst because "what kind of monster am I to love/be loved by someone like Lara"...

I really don't know that it works with the characters as they are. Both are a little to jaded, and there are parts of Lara that I genuinely don't think Harry could ever accept. She's a pretty human monster, but she's still a monster.

Nah, Harry lost access to Hellfire after Lash got nuked out of his brain by the psychic attack in the Raith Deeps. Mr Sunshine gave Harry Soulfire in response to the Devil giving Nick a bunch of Hellfire in Small Favor

Yeah. Like, there were a lot of changes I didn't like (especially in the Two Towers, you did my boi Faramir dirty PJ).

But it was at least respectful to the original and didn't, say, kill off the MC and have his corpse jacked (Halo). It didn't 'subvert our expectations' by revealing that all the heroes of the past are worthless losers and failures with nothing to offer their OC Donut Steel (Star Wars Sequels). It didn't retcon important lore and story elements for dumb reasons (Wheel of Time, the upcoming Rings of Power).

Quite frankly I dread a Dresden Files TV Series released today.

Personally I'm not entirely sure that I want there to be an adaptation at all in the current social climate, but if it happens the most important rules would be:

Do- Respect the source material and fan base.

Don't- Use the name to publish your own story that would otherwise never get greenlit because you're a talentless hack and you know it, and then attack fans of the series on social media because they don't like it.

Oh absolutely it would have been irresponsible. But like I said, Harry never even asked for them back. Karrin is the one that brings them up -pretty much at random- in order to go "Fuck you Harry, these are too important to entrust to you and I'm keeping them".

And then when he does bring up the swords (when he suggests bringing one to Demonreach) she responds with "Yo Harry, remember the time you got your best friend crippled for life".

Like, Murphy was just insanely antagonistic about the Swords in Cold Days, because she's too proud to admit that she just doesn't want to use the damn things.

But this is getting pretty off topic so I suggest we stop here.

Yeah, Harry entrusting Murphy with taking care of his estate (and thus the swords) is fine.

Her deciding to emotionally blackmail him into letting her keep them after he'd come back from the dead, despite him not even asking for them back was a bit of a dick move though.
