Aye, I'm in midst of preparations for the raid on Shecktus Tor.  Chez Priscellie FTW.

I hope you have enough catnip to take care of the guardbeasts.

If that's not an argument for lightsaber ownership, I just don't know what is. ;D

It helps. :)

Just found out that my friday show has been moved to sunday, so aside from table-sitting, I am free for most of the day! :D

So I have my prop staff for the Con *is excited* I'm a bit worried about bringing it in, but according to the weapons policy wood props are fine.

Yes, wood props are fine. Essentially nothing edged or could be construed as a authentic ballistic weapon will be accepted. You can buy weapons at vendors, but they will mostly be non-sharp replicas and packed and sealed tight after purchase. Prop guns need to have the orange cap or something to show, in no ambiguous terms, that it is not a real gun. Other than that, you're clear.

Hey guys,

As most of you know. I work for New York Jedi, a stage combat group that uses prop lightsabers. We will be performing at New York Comic Con all weekend. We have tables near the Variant Stage and one at a Battle Corral located in the Crystal Palace (the glass walled foyer at the front of the Javits Center). There will be a thirty minute show at 6pm at the Variant stage and another at 4:30 on Saturday and we'll be at the corral for the duration of the con. Come and stop by! Many in Jedi are Butcher fans and would love the oppurtunity to meet more DresdenPhiles!

I'll be going as my geeky self.  Only costume I have is a Jedi costume, and I think it would be too hot.  And I've had issues with the lightsaber bits falling off.  But I might wear my elf ears or fangs to annoy my b/f.  :D

Uhm, this isn't the place to talk about it. But PM me about the costume and the saber. I've been with NY Jedi for a year and a half, and have done more than my fair share of con runs. So I should be able to help, if not point you in the right direction.

Comic Con '09 was held in February right after a snowstorm. You wouldn't know that from the amount of heat several thousand costumed geeks in the room. At least in October the Temperature shift will not be quite as murderous

I blame Jim for the scene in the limo in Changes.  That song was my brain's official soundtrack for the scene.  I kind of want to draw it in Clone High style.

DO IT

Sometimes, ya'll scare me.   :D  But I'll have my camera there.

So will I. I'll also have my supply of washable dropcloths and the number of a half-decent bail bondsmen

Considering he'll be signing ad nauseum at the con, I figure it's the least we can do.

Now with more JIM!

Free spicy brainz in every box!

As long as it comes with complimentary Pretzel Logic Pretzels, I'll be fine :P

We'll be receiving Brit passports?  :o

We may need them by the end of this :D

Priscellie, Shecky and I took a look at the Irish Rogue last night. The area where we're having the party...yeah, it's gonna be a good time :D

There. Good neighborhood for our kind, and it's not too far from Javits

William Borden, thank you and good night :D

Okay, we need to find a suitable Mac's.  All four barkeeps will be there.

We've been thinking about that, I'm not sure if we came up with a suitable solution
