BB - Brain Bleach
This is a really great idea. I'm glad you thought of it.
You forgot Smex too.
Thought I'd give you the bleach first though.
;)
PG = Proven Guilty (book 8)Might want to turn off bb code there, like this [nobbc](book 8)[/nobbc] (note that I used it twice so you could easily copypaste the visible text into your post).

WttJ = Welcome to the Jungle, the original DF Prequel Graphic Novel.
Edit: I might recommend breaking the book (and WttJ) acronyms out into their own section, and maybe throw in a Color for the section titles.
Oh yah, one that I scratched my head on until context gave it to me.
EBG = Eldest Brother Gruff
HIB = Her Imperial Bugginess (Vord Queen Prime)
AM = Ancient Mai
NH = Nickle Head (Denarian)
GC = Grey Cloak (Warden or That SOB...damn it you know who I mean)
CF = Chlorofiend
BM = Bolshevik Muppet
AM = Ancient MaiI've seen AM as Aftermath ;)

Although I don't get exposed to the discussions enough, I have seen HIB before and had to have it explained. GC can also be Grey Council.
I haven't seen most of those others used in convo.
I've seen AM as Aftermath ;)
Edited OP to ask that only actively used abbreviations be listed here.
so this really isn't used much around the boards due to lack of... well, fangirls and fanshippers, but idk, I thought it may be helpful too? It's helpful around fanfictions for the most part, anyway.
Hari-Kari: Harry/Murphy Shipping, as coined by Priscellie :D
"Pink Court": Thomas/Susan
"The Spanish Inquisition"/Marlos: Molly/Carlos
Drolly: Harry/Molly
(mostly grabbed from Priscellie/this thread here: http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php/topic,20073.15.html)
...that's about it, the current 'known' nicknames for these fanshippings, mockery or not. Someone may shoot me, but I ship... ships, so yeah. xD
Drolly: Harry/Molly
What's wrong with using 'Holly'?
You can keep this icky fangurly stuff in the fanship thread now thank you very much :P ;D :P

SMEX?????
Gimme a hint!
Yeah. I've spent WAY too much time on that site in the unintentional "archive binge".
The following link should give you an idea as to why I said you don't want to know.
!!!Warning!!!
Please be sure to have at least 2 gallons of Brain Bleach handy...

*gigglesnort* Harry/Mavra. Marry. :P
What. The. Everliving. Holy. HELL.
That's what you get for coming here.That's just...just wrong, man. I'll probably have nightmares now.
Muahahaha ;D ;D ;D
I warned you ;D
Kravos runs this place, doesn't he?
heh, TVTropes Will Ruin Your Life for a reason xD
(ttW) = TVTropes (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HomePage) (ttW) Warning, Obligatory warning that must follow any link to tvtropes.Added. Good idea to use this as an area to nominate new abbv :)
How about adding this to the list in the OP???? Used on forums? Or is this from GS(still haven't received mine so avoiding spoiler territory like the plague)
BFS: Brighter Future Society
(alias BFG: Brighter Future Group, a suggestion by one of its members for the coalition's name)

WG or TWG = White God or The White God, Uriel's boss.
Haven't seen that one yet. Can you pop me a pm with a link or two, I'll look into it and add it.
I only found one, (http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php/topic,16838.msg768875.html#msg768875) in the Dresden Files RPG forums.You are correct, that's what it means.
I suspect it means "Rules as Written".
Just looked at the list and didn't notice a TCJL - The Chicago Justice League or whatever we are using. I don't recall.Found JLC used in several threads. Added to the list.
Only getting my copy of Cold Days at the end of December, Serack - can you vouch for and add the aforementioned? Thanks :)(click to show/hide)
For Codex, you forgot:
TEBI - That Evil Bitch Invidia
GoR, Guardians of Reality
Nfection = Nemesis infectionSearch not picking up either in any threads, please send me a link or two to confirm active usage. Thanks.
You've also got:Added
LC = Little Chicago
AT = Arctis Tor
I've made the change, and you were right, it does look a lot better and easier to use. :)
I'm also thinking of dropping the following due to age:
BM = Bolshevik Muppet
CF = Chlorofiend
GG has been dropped, once we found out it's identity it seemed to go out of use.
I like referring to certain forum members by acronyms and nicknames. It gives me a feeling of jovial familiarity that I like, and I figured I'd record them here for reference. Not all of these are currently active.
2πr = Second Aristh (http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php?action=profile;u=39662) (It works because his avatar is the symbol pi)

EMcB = Electric MacButters (http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php?action=profile;u=26838) (RL friend)

Sounds like a very good notion. Voting in favor of the additions.
Sounds like a very good notion. Voting in favor of the additions.
I also think it sounds like a good notion. Also, it's actually 123456789blaaa. No 0, no h, and 2 more a's ;).
I also noticed your trimming of the dictionary. Thank you for that. It seemed so bloated and if it wasn't for my laziness I'd probably have gone through it and suggested a potential trimming myself ;D.
I don't think I've seen you around lately. Is this just my imagination or have you been offsite for a while (I mostly frequent the DF Spoilers and DFRPG sections so maybe you only haven't been visiting those lately?)?
To add to the list SoI = Spirit of IntellectAdded :)
Do it.
I'd also add N-fected as a possible alternative.
Nfection = Nemesis infection
I already predicted the use of the term Nfection/N-fection/N-fected. They have all be used.
This is why I wanted feedback. I figured it was likely that there were other versions that were getting play.
I've always heard it as Original Gangster. Though that may not be what is meant here.
So during theorizing I've started using a few acronyms for... alternate versions of characters in theorized future story lines. Specifically the Mirror Mirror (MM) book and the theorized Time Travel book. So I'm going to start cashing potential acronyms and slang for these characters in this post, but won't add them to the official dictionary until we get closer to the actual books and the predominant slang becomes more solidified.From what I've seen, Yrrah has largely been replaced by -Harry, /Harry, !Harry, and ~Harry. I thought most had decided on -Harry, but then the others keep popping up.
The terms:
MMcone=MM Marcone
PGH=Proven Guilty Harry
TTH=Time Travel Harry
Yrrah=MM Harry
From what I've seen, Yrrah has largely been replaced by -Harry, /Harry, !Harry, and ~Harry. I thought most had decided on -Harry, but then the others keep popping up.
Ah, I'd missed that evolution. There's time for it to drift elsewhere anyways.As if we could ever come to a consensus around here. ::)
