Site Suggestions & Support / Re: How's the site doing this evening?

It's a bit sluggish.  Though I do not know how much of that is the site and how much of it is my addiction to tabbed browsing.  It is mildly annoying, but meh, this to shall pass.

So far so good thus far.  I imagine everything will come down in a couple of weeks when people start to drift away from discussions on Changes.

Fred's on a camping trip.  Not sure when he'll return.

What info did you need to look up?  Maybe one of us can answer your question.

Someone was asking about sample chapters and how many were released last time for PF.  I was going to check and answer it.  I don't remember, but I had thought it was something in the neighborhood of 7, Prologue+6 Chapters.  Like I said, don't remember though.

Just goofing off on Amazon.com and saw the cover art for the new tradeback.  It quite frankly kicks the pants of the mass paperback version;

Mind you this is a crappy quality version, but oh well.  Still looks kick ass.

**Additionally**
Who is the artist for this cover art?  It looks awesome and I'd like to credit said person.

I work at a cologne and perfume factory, so I have to ask:  How exactly does one have the "fragrance of a Gibbous moon"?

Why do I have visions of tuna swimming by....

Yeah.  If all authors followed that list to the letter there would be no new Fantasy/SciFi/Romance/Action/Drama tv shows, movies, books, comics, etc.

Agree with Shecky, what matters is how its put together.

Mr. Butcher's Spider Man: The Darkest Hours is being re-issued as a Trade Paperback version (whatever the heck that means).  It will be released on June 2nd, 2009.  Here is the link for it on Simon and Schuster, http://www.simonsays.com/content/book.cfm?tab=1&pid=647438&er=9781416594765

And here is the Amazon.com Butcher Store friendly link,

Darkest Hours / Re: Objection

What did you read that confused you, Sebastian?  What do you suggest we do to rectify the situation?

Just out of curiosity, couldn't Mr. Hicks, or you or whomever, put the first sample chapter on the books description page?  If not you could also provide an additional link to the excerpt from Simon and Schuster.  Here's said link if you want to, http://books.simonandschuster.com/Darkest-Hours/Jim-Butcher/Spiderman/9781416510680/excerpt

Though there maybe a legal reason why you are unable to include the excerpt on the main page.  Is there?  Otherwise why can't you include the excerpt on the Darkest Hours page?

Not that I really mind one way or the other.  I just got the book a couple, *thinks*afew*, ah hell.  I've read it and enjoyed it.  Just don't remember when, but I do own it.

Would it be simpler to have the Turn Coat sample chapters thread in "Books" and "Spoilers" merged into the "Spoilers" thread?  That way people don't have to worry as much about the spoiler tags?

Oh god, you have GOT to hear Jim doing Bob's voice. Worth the price of admission right there.

I might just be mentally damaged, but whenever I read Bob, in my head, his voice is perky with a dash of snark.  But mostly perky.

NecroBob just sounded like your garden varied whackajob, with a bit of sinister thrown in for good measure.
