Thanx Dom. I'll check those sites. Fantus is a dutch translation of an english character, so that should be ok. Forumboekerij is dutch as well.

Personally I'm not uncomfortable with swearwords. In a book, I'm inclined to see those words as a constructive addition to the story. ( I love Harry's "Hell's Bell's")
Colorfull language can ad humor to a scene, or make the reader understand what the protagonist is going through. A slip of the toungue can come over heavier from Michael than a thousand swearwords from Harry would.

As for people who react offended to the F* word... Stop reading the story and see it as a lesson learned. (Gods, I hate puritans ::))

I was wondering if there are any writers on this board who live close to me. I know it's a longshot, but I can't get it out of my head, so I'll go with my gut.  8)

Is there anybody here who lives near Alkmaar, the Netherlands? I'd like to meet with you and talk about writing, Butcher-esque things etc. over a glass of something. (Irish pub's my favorite, but anything goes.)

Yeah, the choppy bits are a natural consequence of me trying to loosen up.  I ad-libbed 90% of this episode (instead of my usual 10%) and that lead to a lot of screw-ups and a metric ton of 'uh... (six second pause)'.

 ;) nah, i'm not going to burn you down. I like the show. Sometimes it's a bit hard to hear it properly. I'm not an native english speaker and when people are having a conversation in the same room, it gets a bit difficult. The're is some background noise as well I think. (could be me)

One thing of building critisism though. Can you please put a bit more time between the words when you get two pieces of soundbytes together? I think it will make the way you "speak" more controlled. (ie, less nervous)  ;) I can understand about the *uh*'s. You should have heard my for my first presentations.  ;D Just take a breather and try to speak slower. Just a tip I hope will help for you.

Keep up the good work. You and Jim heve become examples of the learning curve for me. (Never give up, never say die and have a lot of patience.)
