Buy you book early and get an earlier sign number card.

THANK YOU so much for posting this, I had no idea they put you in line in the order you bought the book from them!  I just called them and ordered my copy.  I'm 38th in line for Jim's signing!

Here's Jim's page on the Phoenix Comicon's website.  It shows which panels he'll be attending.

I can't seem to find any info on when any guests will be available for autographs, so I don't know if or when Jim will be signing there.

I know Tapatalk has been suggested a couple of times, but I thought I'd bring it up again.  Tapatalk makes it much easier to read forums on phones and other mobile devices.  The forum's format is all but unusable on my phone, and I'd love to be able to look at it while I'm at an upcoming book signing or at Phoenix Comicon.

If not Tapatalk, could we get a mobile skin?  Something like this: http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/?lemma=2035

For anyone looking to go to this event, I wanted to post The Poisoned Pen's policy on book signings:

Quote
Admission to the signing line at our events comes with the purchase of the author’s new book from The Poisoned Pen. The purchase of a new book allows you to get up to three personal books signed if the author is willing which we cannot guarantee in every case.

There is no charge for this service. In some cases the author will sign more than three copies in you return to the end of the signing line.To avoid disappointment, check ahead.

This is taken from their Store Policies page.

Aw, crap...  I've been looking at the Phoenix Comicon events, and the Spotlight on Jim Butcher ends 30 minutes before the Spotlight on John Barrowman starts...  My wife will want to line uip early for Barrowman...  This may cause... friction.

DF Books / Re: Did you discover the books because of the TV Show?
« on: October 26, 2010, 07:48:12 PM »
I don't think I posted here yet.  I head about the books because of the TV show.  The reports of SciFi picking up the series mentioned that it was based on a series of books about a wizard in modern-day Chicago, and I thought that wounded interesting.  I think I made it from Storm Front through White Knight in about six weeks.

And I proselytize the scripture of Saint Jim to everyone I can.  I've got at least a half dozen people hooked on the series.
