Site Suggestions & Support / Fan Mail?
« on: July 22, 2016, 10:50:05 PM »
Does Mister Butcher accept fanmail, and/or to whom/where do we send it? (I assume it would have to go through some agent or another.) I tried doing a search for some answers, but all I could find were arrows toward either these boards, or twitter...

Glau was Madrigal's lawyer in Proen Guilty. Half human, half djinn.

Ah, thank you. Proven Guilty was the first Dresden book I ever read, so it's been a while since I'd looked at it. ~_~ On that note, I didn't put two and two together and realize Madrigal was in Proven Guilty as well as stirring up trouble within the white court iiiiiin... White Night? Perhaps I shall have to find a summary of PG somewhere to refresh myself... (I'd just reread it, but, I've got a pile of hardbacks from my birthday sitting here, waiting to be read.)

Thank you for clearing that up for me.

Good God, I'd hate to think of how poor Thomas would smell after that...

Post that, he's also no longer allowed to buy (or otherwise inherit) any more bizarre weapons from Kincaid. ;D

Kincaid and Glau are classed under "Scions of Power", essentially halfbreeds (of which Changelings are a type), and will be playable as well, yes.

Beg pardon, who is Glau and what book is he/she/it from? I can't seem to bring that name to mind...

Separate note:

Will there be subsequently released material concerning things like location and spells? Obviously there's probably going to be a fair handful in an initial release, but... Advanced D & D style, I guess is what I mean. (I'm rather interested in potential settings, since I'm nowhere near Chicago and know only what I've read in Dresden about it.)

(Sorry if it's been done before...)

-I'm no longer allowed at Harry Potter conventions. Fun though it was showing those goons some REAL magic...
  a) was kicked out for being a potential Death Eater.
  b) was kicked out for being a Lord of the Rings fan.
  c) was kicked out for stealing the name "Harry".
  d) was carried out on a stretcher by the few dual fans of Potter and Dresden who felt sorry for the poor thing and forbade him going back.
  e) was kicked out for making some wise-@$$ed crack.
  f) was kicked out for burning down the building. (DING! DING! DING! WE HAVE A WINNER!)

Nice to know I wasn't the only one watchin' it. =3 But I dunno how much catching Harry does... Its more like thwarting, destroying and building burning. (I'm tellin' ya dude, fire rats.)

-I'm no longer allowed to sing Come Sail Away, because after that new Indiana Jones movie, people are afeared I'm going to call down aliens and predators. o_o;

-I am no longer allowed to call Mike Rowe claiming I have a dirty job.

(And I didn't know the Evil Overlord List was that popular of a subculture page. o_o; Shows what I know.)

DF Books / Re: Did you discover the books because of the TV Show?

:D I think the only character who's appearance stays the same in me head between tv-version and book version is Ancient Mai. Morgan's different, Murphy's different, Dresden's even a little different (I think book Dresden might be cuter).

Oh, and Bianca, even though she was short-lived.

I'm not overly happy with the voting options.

I passed a large cardboard display for the Dresden books in a store and stopped to see what new SciFi Channel crap they were promoting shamelessly. (Since "Coming soon! To Scifi!" was plastered all over it.)

Upon reading the backs of the books that were there, I had a good laugh and decided these were worth looking into. I couldn't find any info on the show at the time, but it stayed in the back of my mind. A few months later, I came across an episode halfway through and Harry was having a conversation with Bob. I liked actor-Bob. So I went back to the bookstore and picked up a volume.

Somewhere along the line I got my hands on a copy of the TV show, but I have to say I'm a little less than impressed with it. I like the actors, sure. And the show itself is as good as the next Supernatural type show. But it seemed too canned to me. Nicholas Cage was in charge of it, wasn't he? I did hear that somewhere? I would have expected more from him...

The King - An Elvis impersonator who can speak with the dead.

ROFL XD
That is SO a Dresden idea! Dude, if Butcher had the opportunity, I bet he'd throw him in for shiggles and gits, that's great.
If ya throw that guy into an ongoing larp, he should be a running gag character, kinda like Butters or The Box Ghost. (Kudos if ya got that one.)

Anybody been keeping tabs on how many Marcone employees would be being played?
