Well, as you all know, Mab threw in a little bitty HURRICANE in the way so the Birthday brunch did not happen.  So I took my little gift certificate and had a brunch later with an old college friend. Thmpfffffft, Mab!

Anyone on the forum going to MisCon or has been before?  I've never been to MT and am getting older every day, so I decided, why not?  I really really enjoy hearing both Jim & Shannon talk about their work and treasure the handmade glass bookmark I got from Shannon @ MarsCon.  So I've registered for MisCon & have a room @ host hotel.  Would love to hear from folks about the great stuff to do @ MisCon, and see if anyone is interested in getting together for a Jim fan dinner (or knows if one has been arranged).  Thanks in advance!

I am registered for Miscon in MT!!  YEAH!!  I've never been to Montana and it's going to be a nice long weekend over Memorial Day...I have a room reserved @ the host hotel too!  WAHOOOOOO! :)  It's so much fun never growing up! :)

Announcing the Mid Atlantic Harry Dresden Fan's Annual Birthday Brunch!

We will meet @ Clydes @ Mark Station, Alexandria VA at 11:30am.  Dutch treat, and there will be CAKE.
As with last year, we will be collecting voluntary donations for Friends of Bianca Pet Rescue as our Charity (www.friendsofbianca.org)

Please RSVP to Heartsonycgr on this forum or on FB by Oct 21 so I can reserve one large table.  :)

Pre Reg for MisCon is CLOSED.  Now it's registration on site only up to limit of 1000 attendees :(  VA to MO is a long way to travel not knowing if one can even attend or not :*(

I am up for trip to MO if J & S are going to be GOH!  MarsCon was such a blast with them in the lead--I hope the MO folks know to expect a huge response with J & S there...MarsCon wasn't, but they quickly got up to speed!

Ditto here!  I always liked his books. After seeing him and Shannon @ MarsCon, I adore his books, and them!  He is brilliant and funny in a way that is best appreciated in person!

Some updates:
1) If you'd like to honor Harry D. or Jim Butcher's birthdays through a donation, I'll be collecting for the Washington Animal Rescue League at the party (completely voluntary!!!  No donation required!!).  Make checks out directly to the rescue if you want to donate and I will send in the donation in HD and JB's honor!
2) Our reservation for the Birthday Brunch is full up.  If you'd like to attend, please contact me and I'll try to call the restaurant and add you--no guarantees b/c they are very full with a Halloween Event the same day, but I'll try!
