18 days since the last news. I think the book is finished. Editing is in progress and there is not yet a release date.
I'm starting to get excitet. It has become difficult to concentrate on the book I'm reading though it's a good one.

... And it would be fun, if Mab ordered Harry to contact the Merlin and beg him to teach him how to be a better Warden for Demonreach by improving bis magical abilitys. Because there may be knowledge passed down from Merlin to Merlin since the original one createt the wards on the Island. And only he can teach Harry. That would be horrible for both of them. Muahaha.

I think Harry and Karrin will at first be a bit awkward with each other. Then they will get used to it, be happy for a few chapters, and then she will die. I'm not looking forward to reading that and perhaps I am wrong, but I don't think so.

I would like to see Harry's first contact with the White Council (especially with the Merlin) as Winter Knight. This might result in them asking why he has decided to become the WK and they will ask why he made such a big decicion for a mere clients child as he claimed. They will know the child must be special to him and why.
So I am also looking forward to seeing Maggie introduced to the Council.
And how her relationship with Harry and Ebenezar develops.
And I am curious how the Karrin-Harry relationship continues.

Yes, but that is not what I meant. With a circle, you can't walk around using a cellphone or drive a new car or work in an office or a place with complex technical equipment.
Harry didn't use the GPS. Butters had to, because had Harry used the device, it would have been trapped inside the circle with his magic and not in a magic free circle with a nonmagical Butters.

Hello, dear DF-Fans!
There is something I've been asking myself since the book (can't remember the title) where Harry is at the Larry Fowler Show with Ortega and the Priest. He is using a spell that suppresses bis magic. He has to concentrate a lot to keep it going.
And we know, there are at least two kinds oft thorn manacles (fae made and those with iron, Nicodemus used in Skin Game).
So maybe a wizard could make a magical item without thorns to keep a magic suppressing spell going, like for example the shield bracelet helps keeping the shield going.
That way a wizard could use technology if he wanted to. He would just have to activate bis suppressing bracelet/amulet/chosen focus item. Without pain.
What do you think?
