This is the big clue imho. I believe it happened some time before White Night via Nemfected Vitto Malvora or the sad remains of Outsider-connected Papa Raith. Justine was almost reduced to a veggie state after Blood Rites. You just don't recover from something like this so thoroughly. The only thing that was left of the person Justine was the newly acquired True Love. Which made her a very interesting candidate around WCV. I think the recovery for Thomas' sake was the hook Nemesis used to bait her and her work to get close to Lara the price she had to pay. Nemesis must have realized the potential in her position early on: Lara would love to have a PA who can't be fed upon by other WCV and who is emotionally connected to the family via Thomas.

I don't think Carlos is Nemfected atm. He was probably being played by the people who wanted to get rid of Harry to some extent, but I'm afraid that the groundwork for that has been laid some time ago. Harry really wasn't a very good friend to him. He had lied to him on several occasions before, not told him things, not treated him as an equal. Harry always had his reasons, but the fact remains that it was obvious to Carlos that Harry did not trust him completely. And then Molly in Cold Case happened.

From Carlos' pov, it sadly is understandable that he feels betrayed and doesn't trust Harry any more. Former friends can turn into very bitter enemies. This can turn very ugly yet.

We have to re-evaluate Justine's actions ever since White Night at least. I re-read Even Hand yesterday and it totally makes sense if you assume that Nemesis made her involve Marcone in the first place. She got to check him out. Marcone was in possession of Namshiel's coin, who is probably the Nemfected Fallen. If Marcone had lost, the coin would have been available again, maybe for her to retrieve it and look for a suitable host. In case he won, as he did, a minor Fomor lord was lost, but Marcone would have been motivated to pick up the coin himself. I suppose that is what happened. At some point after Even Hand he decided that he needed a power-up very badly.

Cold Days is tricky. I always found it odd that Thomas insisted on taking her along in the first place. She would have been much safer at Castle Raith ...
At the show- down, she neither helped Maeve nor team Harry. She just observed. As usual imo. Was she there to make sure that Maeve was not doing anything stupid? As Maeve then did?

The targeting of Eb makes sense. He clearly is just as big of a thorn in the bad guys plan as Dresden, perhaps more so. I don't think they just stopped after Changes trying to take him out.

However, Harry clearly is a big part of things. And everyone either wishes to have him serve them or kill him, by and large. So I don't think Dresden isn't being targeted too. I do think it's very much about Dresden, but also it's about who they can get to through him. And that list is long.
The White Council may figure that they can keep both of them on a very tight leash with the current constellation. A suspended death sentence is a sort of a joke, however. You either go through with it or you find another way to express your displeasure. This makes them look like toothless tigers in the eyes of other supernatural players. They are sort of communicatimg: "We'd like to see the guy dead but we daren't kill him."

The island seemed familiar to Harry in Small Favor. Luccio attributed it to Harry's Sight setting in, but the Sight hasn't shown up since. Guess she might have been wrong.

Justin or Maggie sen. make a lot of sense, depends on whether we can say that we know them. Neither has been living in any of the books. Might be a technicality, as we have more info on them than many other characters that we have met...

Does a Warden have to die before the Mantle becomes available again?

Just different aspects and different sorts of personnel, somewhat different agendas on the forefront, different identity-grounding stories, benefits, politics .... to ensure the loyalties of their own

Wasn't Nemesis infecting Maeve at the same time as Lea at some point? I think there might be a limit to the number of outright possessions, but definitely more than just one at a time. Or maybe it makes a huge difference whether Nemesis receives an invitation or not.

Free Will has never been invincible. Other possessions (by some of the Denarians e. g.), mind-magic, dehumanizing transformations by the Fomor .... are all part of the Dresdenverse. The theory that Nemesis can't infect humans is based on them having Free Will. Imho that's too easy. Maybe humans have the potential to resist Nemesis because of Free Will, but they'd have to actually use it to do so. Justine has always been the victim type, I doubt it that Nemesis found it difficult to corrupt her. In hindsight, we should probably have a close look at the situations where she appears strong and smart. It started during or shortly before White Night...

Etri's sister might be behind it all. She already appeared in Bombshells where she distracted Thomas. She has been in close contact with him ever since, so she had some opportunities to maybe spy on Lara via Thomas ans or Justine. She was telling Harry what supposedly happened, which could be a clue that it is her story, literally as in orchestrated by her.
