Title: have some questions about starting a game
Post by: ParrotMan on January 24, 2013, 06:53:10 AM
Me and some friends are starting a weekly game, and i was wondering if you guys could help me out with a couple hiccups we've been having.
We kind of want fantasy, but we really like the system, and I especially love this particular spell casting system, has anyone ever tried adapting this RPG to fantasy?
The DFRPG seems to be directed mostly towards large city sort of stuff, but my friend wants to play more dungeon crawler style, anybody tried that?
Has anybody ever played with miniatures and maps? how does that work out?
Those are basically all of my questions. Thanks!

DFRPG should work fine for fantasy, and for dungeon crawling to some degree (though, due to the way Aspects work you want things to be a bit more narrative). Maps work fine, but keep in mind that zones are a bit more abstract than, say, squares in D&D.
