Much better, thanks!  Great photos. :D

Who's the guy standing with Jim in the first few?

That's Christian McGrath - it was the first time the two of them had met in person.

I was there too.  Probably saw you... you probably saw me two. (At most of the Jim Butcher events me and my friend were the only people roughly under 30)
I do have to say... I am SO glad this board exists.  Mr. Butcher was on one pannel were they were taking about modern gothic literature.  It's totaly a conversation I would have with someone online, they wouldn't be able to see me and give me that look like, "What are you talking about... you're a teenager!".
Yea... I sayed quiet most of the time at Icon.

I have a bunch a picture (one really good one of Jim Butcher and Chris McGrath).  I'll try to post them soon.   :D

she remembers fondly as the worst year of her life.

I live on Long Island...

Edit: ... Yea... I just realized that... yea... I don't blame your mom...

This is why God invented public transportation?

So true... so true...

That was a really great podcast!!  ;D
You guys made a lot of great points.  My friend, who watches the series and read the books, was complaining that her one gripe was that there wasn't enough snark.  But you're right - skull Bob on TV making dirty comments would be really skeevy.
Also, I agree with you that the special effects are really good - even though there's no huge bang.
 :D

I agree. I've never read one Spider Man comic. Saw the movies. The book was still awsome. Jim does a great job explaining what's going on.
There are some refrences to previous events that must have happened in the comics, but it's really easy to stay up to date with whats happening.
Read on.

Darkest Hours / Re: Best Quotes

Don't have the book in front of me, but the first quote that pops into my head is something Mary Jane said.  Paraphrased - "I grew up in New York.  I'm not supposed to know how to dirve."
Maybe it's cause I live so close to New York that I find that hilarious. *shrugs* I dunno.

I also thought the quote about his but was hilarious.  "It's a rare man that can honestly say that his but has a superpower."

 ;D ;D ;D

Site Suggestions & Support / Re: No More Politics
« on: July 03, 2006, 02:27:39 AM »
Well with discusions like the one about the Black Council I don't think you really can leave out politics.  They're a political group.  That'll eventually lead to political talk.  It's not much different than talking about religeon. I think people are trying to keep the political chatter to a minimum though.

I'll read it because Jim wrote it.
I love the spider man movies but I'm not really a comic book person.
