DFRPG / Re: Emotional vamp mechanics question

Except that, unless i missed something in the mechanics, feeding (except to death) doesn' effect your hunger track.  (Ys189-190)

DFRPG / Emotional vamp mechanics question
« on: August 02, 2010, 07:34:00 PM »
I could be totally blind or stupid, so correct me if I'm wrong, but from the mechanics in the book it looks like feeding gives no benefit other than to make it easier to feed, unless you feed to death. This qould indicate that other than "off screen" feeding from a hunger failure, feeding without killing is useless. Am I missilng something or does feeding (normal touch, incite emotion, feed really result in ... not actually feeding?

DFRPG / High concept +mechanics question
« on: July 31, 2010, 05:10:26 PM »
First letme apologise, I'm posting from a nook and can't always see what I'm typing to know if there is a typo, and going back to fix it is REALLY difficult, and im no good at typing on this little touch screen. Anyways, i have this idea for a charecter. White court vamp, feeding on fear.  Hes a vigilante, think part Batman part Micheal Weston/The Equalizer (for those that remember the 80s). I want a high concept that displays his status as a whi court vamp, as well as his vigilante status, as well as his... help you out of a jam mentality. Thogh i may have just now solved that... "White Court Vigilante For Hire" open to suggestions though. Next a mechanics question. I'll have to have a feeding dependancy in there, and thateans that normally after a fight where he uss his powers he'd have to check and see if hes hungry. However, i intend to have him inciting fear in fights and using grapple quite a bit, the idea being that he uses his fear factor to put his opponents off their game, then feeds on them a bit as he's taking them down. Should this, in some way, effect his hunger roll? Any opinions are appreciated

Aspcect for Gun-Fu, "Uses Mel Gibson's guns" ever notice how mel' charecter from the LW series never runs out of ammo ... except when he really needs just one freaking bullet?

As far as relieving mental stress goes, there can (in terms of canon) be serious consequences. Remember what happened in Fool Moon after he used the kicked up coffee potion. God for a moment, followed by.burnt out wizard.            Posted via nook, so i apologise for any typos.

WC enchants a *place* to be less noticed, uninteresting, unobtrusive, not the same. Like dressing a hot chick in school marm clothes, nothing about the viewer was affected, but they still dont notice her.

I'm posting this from a nook, so i won't be correcting any typos. But if Mccoy drops a satalite on a jedi, i doubt he'll dodge fast enough.  Wizards ftw.

Yeah, that's definitely a 4th Law violation in the DF universe...but the Star Wars universe has very different rules.
Dresdenverse > starwarsverse.

So, I'be been lurking and reading and catching up and until this moment felt no need to  post myself.
But now I must say,I think I'd rather be in DMW's game.
