Author Craft / Re: For Christian readers or any interested...
« on: May 01, 2008, 09:48:27 PM »
Um, I don't know if I've ever mentioned this but I am a Christian, a very deeply faithful and born-again Christian. That having been said, I've read more than 300 Action/Fantasy novels in the last eight years (since I got the first one for my 12th birthday) and I honestly see no problem with it. Despite what anyone says, Harry Potter isn't gonna send kids to hell, nor is Dresden or any other story. Also, so long as the reader as an ounce of sense, no one is gonna think that these stories are real. They're make believe. Fun, distracting, even enthralling make believe, as well as my favorite form of entertainment. But that doesn't make dangerous, unless you spend a week reading without sleep and your heart bursts or something. Honestly, what sane person has a problem with a Fantasy Novel, especially a well written one?

Vindication awoke hungover, disgruntled and proceeded to emasculate another abbreviated news clip.  Exasperated with tiresome drivel constantly quoting Garfield he searched in vain for immaculate reporting.  Valiantly ignoring vivacious vixens with the biggest, loudest dance-routines, he decided not to apply logic, rather to invoke vainglorious abortions of dogmatic speeches that did exterminate any chance and distinguished Camembert from those devious dairy turncoats.  What the hell!  Flinging a piece of Havarti and starting a stirring of goulash, he felt intensely satisfied that he wasn't medicated; however, his defenestration and subsequent resurrection memory-loss had constructed a tuba symphony.  This unwittingly surprised him. So much unexpected noise! Drastic measures would do nothing for her acceptance, nor his sanity. Therefore certain measures would unfortunately cause Galactic Conquest Cornelia cartoonists considerable consternation.  Conversely, Armageddon happened. ~FIN~

I will not try to hook Sue up with Mouse in an attempt to create a true "West Highlands Dogasaurus"

I will not snicker every time I ask Molly to polish my blasting rod
a) nor will I allow Bob to watch

- I will not let let Mister/Bob have his way with the female members of the Za Lord's Guard.

Mouse can though

- I'm not allowed to try and set Mouse up with one of the Alphas
 A) Likewise Tera

- I am not allowed to suggest that the Council start sending warlocks to Azgaban as punishment

- I am not allowed to take "Injun Joe" Listens-to-Wind to a wild west show

- Or Ebenezer to a Scottish Games
