And of course, now I can't find my tickets from the missed signing...
You might call RDB, see what you can do there. I'm sure they'd be willing to arrange something.

Sadly, I won't be able to make it. It's too late to do a scheduled vacation day, and I don't want to a.)burn a sick day so early when I'm not sick, and b.)leave my team at work down 1 guy on a day that's often pretty busy.

They're just holding mine right now. I was hanging with a friend when I saw the news. I told them to just hold on to it. Right now I think I'm going to wait for the signing; I will get the book read in the meantime.

And, purchased! Hehe. Taking a day off of work and everything...

Does anyone remember from last time, how kosher it was with them to have previously-purchased books in the signing line?

Oh, you were the DC/Marvel guy! I was on the other side of the room.  :P

No spoilers! *shakes angry fist*

I'm set and rearing to go tomorrow!  ;D

Just bought my book/ticket.  ;D

Not if you park in the (free) garage across from Barnes and Noble, I think it's Saks.  It's then a short walk over to Unity.
Heh. Shows how "well" I know that area of town.

I believe I would personally be able to attend that day. I shouldn't be on-call that week, and it's after work hours. Plus, it's not too far from where I work (though I have this sinking feeling parking will be a royal pain nonetheless).

The gentleman in the red Kool-Aid Man shirt was Cape Rust, a contributing writer at Geek Life. He asked myself, Mystic, and a couple other people some questions about Dresden, the event, being a fan, etc.

Looking forward to pictures from people!  ;)

What no one is going to tell us what Jim said at the signing?

We who could not be there want to know tidbits of info he let slip!

David
There's...not really anything to tell. I mean, it was just a signing, there was no Q&A. I think Jim was there as much to support Shannon and Deidre as he was himself.

Also, there weren't many people there. What line there was was perhaps 15 minutes long at the longest. Probably could have gone through a few times if I'd wanted to.

Knight Disciple - If you bring a book to be signed, they will want to give you a marker so they can tell you aren't buying it from them.  If you buy the book there, keep your receipt handy.

Even though this is very short notice, don't be surprised if there's a big crowd.

I may wear my glittery shamrock antennae so recent fans from the forum can recognize me.

Cool. So, probably shoot to get there about noonish, I suppose. If I can bring any book, I might just bring in my copy of Small Favor...

I intend to be there as well. I'm going to try giving them a call, see if there are any rules we need to be aware of and such.

Due to a large part of our gaming group (including for some reason our GM) being on a forced vacation til "sometime in June" we are going to have to put a hold on planning for our games. Those of us that are still around are more than willing to help out with character creation and general questions.
Feel free to drop by the chat, PM one of us that's still a bit more active, or post your question(s) here! :)
