DFRPG / What else warrants execution by the Wardens?
« on: April 05, 2011, 09:33:52 AM »
As the topic states, for what else other than breaking of the Laws, would a Warden or White Council mark you for death? During a state of war, I suppose the enemy forces are fair game, so in a war against the Red Court, Wardens can go after RCVs. But other than breaking the Laws, for what else can, say, a focused practitioner get executed by the Wardens or sentenced to death by the White Council?

DFRPG / Weapons and Armor forged from X
« on: February 17, 2011, 07:52:45 AM »
A main stay of the fantasy genre is that a weapon that is made from very special material or an armor that was forged by a god, uber-smith, etc.

What I would like to know is how does one go about representing such items in DFRPG without resorting to IoPs. How does one represent a leather jacket that was made from dragon/drake/some dracoform hide? A purely mundane (no magical effects) gun forged by Wayland?

DFRPG / Control specialisation and rotes
« on: August 18, 2010, 01:29:21 PM »
How does the specialisation that gives control bonus apply to rotes? The power bonus directly increases the Conviction score but the control bonus seems to only increase the Discipline roll to control the spell. Does this mean that a rote spell would not benefit from the control bonus since the Discipline is assumed to be 0? Has there been any clarifications to this?

DFRPG / Accords Lawyer
« on: August 15, 2010, 03:28:19 AM »
Which skill is appropriate to lawyering the Accords? Lore or Scholarship?

Lore is occult knowledge which the Accords technically are. But at its heart it is nothing more than a set of legalese. So which skill is more appropriate if someone was exploiting the loopholes within the Accords?

DFRPG / Human Form and Shapeshifting
« on: August 14, 2010, 02:44:16 AM »
Apart from the mechanical differences of shifting out of Human Form as a supplemental action and that those powers that you lose while in Human Form, what other differences would there be between Human Form and Human Guise?

Must the character be able to shapeshift into an entirely new form to get Human Form?

What Powers can you lose under the Human Form?
