Battle Ground started with

That’s something you know now.
There are 9 occurences of the word Apocalypse in that book. One of them seems to be an emphasis

and another explains the nature of it

“Apocalypse isn’t an event,” Nemesis murmured. “It is a frame of mind.”
I probably would have staggered anyway, but the phrase hit hard.


Sounds for me, or the readers, the right interpretation would be

Apocalypse is a frame of mind while witnessing multiple apocalyptic events starting from Ethniu until the culminating Big A events & the end of the series.

So, if
 
a freaking Titan started the Apocalypse by destroying a city so she gets to rule the entire world is the start of little apocalypses,

what else would count as little (as I think most of us agree BAT would consists of attempts on cosmic annihilation which means they're Big)?

Speculations
- Chandler's likely, or at least could've, escaped death, he's not unfamiliar with doors
- Demonreach is being set up for a conflict, some kind of misunderstanding in the future, with Harry, as it turns out it's probable he's not a mere Intellictus

Discussion/questions
- A solution for Thomas' situation, once he's healthy, unless he runs away to other countries like Susan, he might live in Demonreach and thus might as well be a Warden for his own protection
- Now that Outsider's outed, what will happen to Justine? I assume she's much less valuable to them
- Langtry's lack of appearance was very suspicious. Thoughts?

if i have to guess ivy's probably slightly under both fae ladies, or on par with the entire white council. i know mother winter & summer are both 10x the queens, but what about odin, or the original merlin? and what about mouse?

this is potentially like creating top 100 list of the best football player in history.

I don't know if this had been discussed before, but imho in Dresden files universe, JB indicated that the (magically) significant events & its most important characters are somehow has tied to their lineages.

  • The Knights & Swords connection. Michael Carpenter is Charlemagne's descendant, Shiro an Okinawan king & Sanya from Salahuddin.
  • Ebenezer/Margaret/Harry is also interesting, the parallel of the Harry's fate so far isn't far from his mother's & grandfather's, Fae bound & enforcer.
  • Not to mention Summer/Winter queens, or at least their mantles.[\li

So my guess is, Harry is one of Merlin's descendants. It's certainly no coincidence that the original Merlin was the only wizard in White Council's history that had temporary possession of the Sword and was the one who build the prison in the island as well as its first warden.

What do you think?

One I'm really curious is Mab's lineage, she mentioned in Cold Days that she was a mortal once.
