DFRPG / The Unseelie Accords
« on: February 28, 2011, 07:53:25 AM »
I can't remember if it says anywhere, but does anyone have a rough estimate of when the unseelie accords were drafted?

DFRPG / RCV player characters
« on: February 28, 2011, 12:43:16 AM »
Now, its pretty clear from the novels and the nature of Red Court Vampires that they're not suitable as Player characters, regardless of refresh level.
My question is, can anyone think of a believable reason why they would allow a PC to keep their character after they became one (assuming for this example a refresh 12+ game)?
More specifically, I'm thinking it would need to be something more interesting and original than, "He's still got something to fight for.", since the thematic metaphor of the first feed implies that you've given up on whatever you were fighting for (as well as giving up your soul).

DFRPG / White Court Spellcasters
« on: December 14, 2010, 05:40:25 AM »
I thought I'd throw this hypothetical out there for a group consensus.
I don't think we've yet seen an example of a WCV with spellcasting ability (aside from one using a common ritual). Now the question isn't whether or not WCV's can learn magic (since they are the most human of all vampires, and we've already seen examples of wizard level magic in both the other courts, I don't see any reason to assume the Whites couldn't develop it as well).
But, Considering that the White Court are "Living Vampires" and that magic is referred to, multiple times as being a byproduct of life (as well as being created by life and powered by life energy), and the white court need to feed directly off that same life energy. Should it be a requirement that any WCV who takes spellcasting powers, tie them to feeding dependency (except of course sponsored magic, which has an implied alternate powersource)?

DFRPG / sponsored magic
« on: July 07, 2010, 04:42:01 AM »
I need a rules clarification about Sponsored Magic.
On YS:288 it says you can invoke an aspect for free once per roll with sponsored magic, but you gain a point of debt. Your sponsor can spend points of debt as free compels on you.
My question is, does the Sponsor have to compel one of your aspects, or can he simply compel you to his Agenda?

DFRPG / Dresden RPG bookmarks
« on: July 04, 2010, 06:26:14 AM »
I received my preorders on Friday, they're awesome!
They came with these awesome bookmarks that have alot of the important game rules (The Ladder, Using Aspects, Consequences, Time Increments, Skill list) on the back.
I'm actually kinda more stoked about the awesomeness of the bookmarks than the books. I wish I knew where to get more of them, so I can have one for every player.
