Cinder Spires Spoilers / Re: New Cinder Spires details.

Well, it took a bit longer than expected (about three months), but as seen on the front page of the main website, it's finally done. Now probably still six months or so until publishing, I guess...

According to a recent interview (three days old) he did, it's "almost done". So I'd expect it in the first or second quarter of next year, if everything goes well.

Well, new update on the status of the book, in this recent interview Jim said "it's almost done". Fingers crossed that we'll get it early next year, then.

Well, good news from the City of Mountain View interview. He will be continueing The Olympian Affair before working on the next Dresden Book and he is already on chapter 24 of it (no idea of how many chapters in total). So it seems we'll be getting the book as the next Butcher work. Looking forward to it!

My favourite candidate for Cowl is now Nameless. I need to re-read the Nameless/Harry interactions.

If he was, he was astoundingly polite to Harry, given the way the two parted the last time.

Completely disagree, Harry being a dad has been one of the best things in the last books. I felt the absence of Maggie in this one, but, again, since this is a novella, I presume that the limited page count made Jim focus entirely on the main plot, with absolutely none of the side plots one would expect in a full novel. Hence, none of the side characters who were prominent in the last books popping in to say hello (no Butters, no Mouse, no Michael, no Uriel, no Molly, no Maggie).

Well, just was listening to the livestream for the release of The Law and it seems from what Jim said when he was asked about any sort of timeline for the release of The Olympian Affair that it will have to wait a bit more time until it is ready. Sad news, because I just reread the first book and was really looking forward to the sequel soon. But it will still well be worth the wait until it's ready, I'm sure.

Well, I guess that's the problem with a novella, you got just so many pages to tell your story and sidetracking eats pages. Hence no Maggie. Which was disappointing, but I presume that she'll get her moments to shine in the upcoming "one year of Dresdens life" novel.

Very good to also release it as an e-book, I prefer reading to audio novels.

Huh, the "excerpt" on the front page seemed pretty complete, not sure if there is a middle part missing or if it continues after the post-oven denoument.

And I wasn't making a conclusion on the personality and trajectory of Toot, but rather his actions in combat in the story. Harry was pretty right recalling Leonidas.

Um, did they just post the entire story in the preview for the book? I mean, that basically takes away my incentive to get the book at all, until Jim releases a collection.

Anyway, Toot is a badass. Dang.

I doubt it.  From Audible's website (linked in the OP).

Ah, I overlooked the release date. Thanks for the heads-up!

So, anybody got it and has a summary?

Yeah, pretty important information, IMO, that he now is at a level again where he can write productively, after going through personal struggles in the last year.

That's a "hell no!" from me. I want to see every Dresden book from his initial plan and more, if possible.
