It was great to meet everyone this evening!  It was a lot of fun talking Dresden theories, gaming, sci-fi/fantasy books, "True Blood," making fun of that other "vampire" book series  ;) , and sharing a meal with other Dresdenites!

I hope to meet up with you all again!  ;D

Excellent!  Sounds goods!  Count us in, we will see you all there!  ;D

I threw out a suggestion above for Pratt Street Alehouse; have yet to hear any countersuggestions.

Yeah, I'm okay with that.  I don't know Baltimore very well (I live by Tyson's Corner) but does anyone else have thoughts?

Habu987 - You can add me +1 :)

Just bought my Baltimore CC tickets...where are we all meeting!?  Sounds like a blast!  8)

We were thinking of going to the ComicCon too. Also love the ideas of mixing up other nerdy events with Dresden fans.

Okay, just another toss out idea.  How about we try to have a standing meet-up at a central-like location -"Every other month on the 2nd Saturday night at 6pm. Meet in the bar area.  Ask the Hostess for the 'Dresden party'"

We can meet up back at Tysons.  Or we can move it around.  One time its in the city.  Next meeting is in Ballston. Then maybe Alexandria - (there is a resturant called "Rustico"  they have an UBER beer selection and yummy pizza.)

Just brain storming :)

I'm still suck on Famke Janssen as Lara Raith.

 ;D ;D ;D

What a fun evening!  Jim had everyone laughing and cheering!  I loved that he really wanted to chat to each of his fans when they came up to have their book signed.  That was really great!  Thanks Jim!

I wanted to go in and meet you all who met up at GB, but I didn't want to leave my place in line especially after a bunch of us in Group 4 all bonded after getting swamped by that hail storm.  :o  We all stuck together after that and it was fun talking about all things Dresden and other novels. (I'm glad we all agreed that vampires only sparkle when they dress up going to Zero! ;) )

I loved that some people dressed up - I should have known that I could have dressed up as Murphy and fit right in -- next time!!  Myyrdn, you made a great Butters!  And Liz, your ponies are so cool!  Thanks for letting me check them out when I walked by!

It was so fun to meet other cool nerds like me!  Thanks for a great time! And I can't wait to see the vids (thanks for doing that Myyrdn!)

If there is another VA/DC/MD meetup, I would totally love to join you all!

9
Still room for another Dresden fan for the meetup?  I'm leaving work early to get to Tysons by 4pm!  It should be fun this evening!  8)

This is from the set of The Last Airbender. It also might be more convincing if he weren't sitting in a make up chair and playing with his cell phone, lol.

LOL!  I love it!

antonio banderas - gatekeeper

No.  Why?  Because he's not Arab/Middle Eastern.  Yes, yes, I know he played one in "The 13th Warrior", but personally I think it's extremely tacky when American actors or International popular actors (in Antonio's case) to play roles to draw crowds.  Rashid is Middle Eastern and I think that casting the correct ethnicity -- there are plenty of very good Arab/Middle Eastern actors out there that can play The Gatekeeper.

Oded Fehr is Israeli, but at least has the look I think of Rashid (he's pretty tall 6'2)

Mark Sheppard for Nicodemus. With a little touching up, he could have the look together. He can definetly play as Nicodemus, since his entire acting career is mainly focused around playing dastardly, evil villains.

Yeah for Badger!  Er, Romo Lampkin!  :) Hehehe!

I love Mark Sheppard!  Yeah, I like that suggestion for Nicodemus.  I agree that he shouldn't be the typical "Christopher Lee" or something obvious.  Nocodemus is calculating, intelligent, and you never see him coming...  Mark Sheppard is perfect!  Great suggestion!

Now, do get me wrong.  I love Nathan Fillion in everything he's done.  And he would be a great Harry!  And he's such a sci-fi/fantasy fan that I think he would love to do it too.  However, he has always been to me, at least in my head while reading the books, Michael Carpenter.
