DF Spoilers / Re: Denarian Short Story
« on: July 12, 2019, 03:52:33 PM »
If Immortals are the only ones capable of being able to be Nfected, then the Denarians wouldn't be part of that.  They're immortal in that they don't die, but they also have Free Will, as shown by the fact that they can give up the coin and seek redemption.  They don't have an inviolable nature the way Maeve and others do.

DF Spoilers / Re: What is the scope of a Soulgaze?

Why does Molly have to know about them?  Harry was the one doing the soul gaze.  His looking at her various potential futures is interpreted by him, not her.

And they aren't specific potential futures, because, like I said, it's not prophecy.  They're indicative of various ways she could go, as interpreted by Harry.  Not ways she WILL go given the various circumstances.

One thing also to keep in mind is that while a soulgaze is accurate, it's not complete.  Soulgazing someone while they're suffering from a shattered leg they got in a house collapsing that also killed their dog will give a radically different result from that same person during Christmas with family and loved ones.

And no, Molly's soulgaze was indicative of her being at a crossroads where she could go down any number of paths.  Not an actual prophecy or foretelling.

DF Spoilers / Re: Ramírez & Lara Raith soulgaze

Bingo.  It was meant to dissuade himself, not Lara.

Ramirez saw her inner demon and having seen that, he now knows enough not to let himself get seduced by her.

Though of course, Michael has a vested interesting in his friend Harry not being a mass murderer.

DF Spoilers / Re: Who is on the Grey Council?
« on: May 23, 2019, 01:10:53 AM »
I can't imagine that all of Eb, Rashid, LtW, and Mai are on the Grey Council, because that would give them a majority on the Senior Council.

...Harry is a feeble talent? Elaine? Luccio? Ramirez? Of all the people I listed, only Elaine is not known to be a wizard-level talent, and I'd gotten the impression that Ramirez, at least, suspected by this point that she was faking.
Harry, Luccio, and Ramirez aren't part of the Paranet.  They may work with it, but the Paranet is basically the JV version of the White Council.

I have trouble seeing the 6th option as representative of Nemesis, since at that point, neither of them actually knew about it.  And nothing we've seen suggests that it has any kind of actual foretelling aspect.

We don't necessarily know what Martha's comment was referring to, as Harry has been meant to be a lot of things.  Though that could be it.

Jim has said that the Council has a lot of info but hasn't yet put two and two together, so at large, they may or may not know until they actually think about it.

Karrin is still pretty Catholic.  She works with Odin's folks, but when she dies she's going to the Christian afterlife.  Maybe work with her dad for Uriel, but I doubt she's going to become a Valkyrie.

A circle goes both ways.  Butters used a circle to block Harry from interfering with the GPS.  And apparently Molly would watch TV from within a circle at her folk's place.

DF Spoilers / Re: Why Didn't Eb Raise Harry?

No, Eb made exactly the same move Harry did, which was to not know about the existence of the kid until after the caregivers were both dead.

Also, because he couldn't find the body, as it was fallen into the lake.
