Aww... wish I had known about this earlier. Sounds like a lot of fun, and BBQ too!
Already have plans I'm afraid. Have fun everyone! Maybe I can partake next year, or at SDCC in July.

Actually, it was just convenient timing on this particular occasion.  I'm on a bus from D.C. back to NY, and it's equipped with free wireless internet!  I've been logging on every hour or so to alleviate the boredom, and here I am!

Wonderful, your boredom is our benefit.  ;D

Sheesh, they have wireless internet on buses now?!

How was DC?

Zatanna ≠ villain

...not sure I deserved that...

To quote Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven, "we've all got it coming, kid."

Eh?  Considering otherwise I will have been slapped for nothing...I vote the aforementioned Elaine costume as well.

I will post other ideas in the other thread.

Maybe you can just consider the slap for the Silent Hill Nurse or Alien Queen suggestion?  :-X  ;)

I can't even imagine how hot it must've been in the Cali sun with all those dreds.

Again, very cool costume. Thanks for sharing a bit how you put it together. It looks very professional. Going through pictures of the various SDCC costumes this year has made me quite envious and inspired. I wanted to cosplay at a few Cons but my girlfriend at the time talked me out of it. Yeah, bad GF.

Nah, Jeff's good people.  He would not use this particular power for evil.

Kalu kalay! An endorsement from the Goddess herself, no other rings so true nor shines as bright.  :D

Great costume Rorschach! - and nice screen name too :D

Could you describe the construction of your shield bracelet? How did you decide on what runes to carve into the staff and blasting rod?

It's awesome. Written by Warren Ellis about a crazy journalist in the future named Spider Jerusalem, basically styled after Hunter S. Thompson who I dearly love. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmetropolitan

I'd recommend The Invisibles by Grant Morrison. Amazing stuff. Great uses of magic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Invisibles
