Hello! This will be my first local Dresden event and I'm super excited! Having never been to one of these at Unity Temple, does anyone know about how early I should show up? Is there typically a line, or should it be easy to get in?

I had no trouble walking right into the last one.

Just as an FYI, when I picked my book up from Rainy Day yesterday, they said they plan to open the doors an hour and a half early.

Far there has been no issue with seating or lines or anything.  But as Silverkey said, they are opening the doors at 1:30.  I'm planning on getting there at about 2:00 to get a good seat.

I'll be the one with a white gotee, and my wife will be wearing a Warden's cloak.  Please come and say "hi".

Great event. Lots of questions Jim could not answer but he did mention after book release tour we wanted to get started on "Peace Talks" around July 1st.

He did give out a few cryptic answers about how names have meaning. One dealt with toot-toot.

Also on a scale of Harry's power from 1 to 10 he gave Harry a hard 6.

Good crowd and a fun time. Also talked about is trip down under in April.

Ah, okay.  I remember now.

It's funny, I was raising my hand and had two questions, the one I asked, (about a "Slayerized" story) and the second one was about his australia trip.

*High-five*

Teamwork.

Rasins, I thought that was probably you, but I wasn't 100% sure and was hesitant to ask a stranger if they were Rasins. ;)

Did anyone happen to write down, or remember, the name of the second author recommendation that Mr. Butcher gave? I remembered Benedict Jacka, and his books look really cool ( http://benedictjacka.co.uk/alex-verus/us/fated/ ), but I can't remember the second! Started with an S, maybe?

Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive, perhaps?

He did mention Sanderson, and how fast he was producing books and how he and Rothfuss were going to take care of that, because he's making the rest of them look bad.

Then me mentioned a couple of others, but I was dwelling on the image of Jim as an Author-Mafia hit man "taking care of Sanderson."
