Damn that was better than I was expecting.
First Question
Thomas killed someone important to the Accords who?
Second question
Does Harry and Lara hook up?
Third Question
Battle Grounds confirmed, 77 days after Peace Talks. Titan is Gaia or Hekate? Hekate did technically appear in Skin Game. Gaia is probably the Mothers combined
My guesses:
1: Marcone mentions how Mab won't protect Harry, so maybe it's someone working for or in partnership with Marcone? Could it possibly be Gard?
2: To me it looks like Lara is getting her Psychic "come hither" on and using it on Harry. I wouldn't be surprised at all. Harry wouldn't cheat on Murphy like that.
3: I have no guesses about this.
Who coming? And who has radio active blood?
Who coming? And who has radio active blood?
I don't know who's coming, but the radioactive blood is a reference to the Spider-man cartoon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUtziaZlDeE) that was on TV a lot during the 70s.
Yeah, it looks like Harry's just deliriously singing the theme song, like he did with Underdog's theme when Shiro showed up to rescue him.
Ok then, seems we're doing it this way :)
Scary titanesses: well Mnemosyne, Titan of Memory, would seem a good one. Trying to bring back the good old times.
And Phoebe is the grandmother of Hecate, who we know is tied up in EVERYTHING. Although that may mean she's been supplanted long enough she can't do much now.
Tethys was a river/water god, which would make a decent enough fit as leader of some large quantity of Fomor
The assasin must be Kincaid
My guess about: Radioactive blood or Harry singing that part of the Spider Man theme song. Harry's in undertown, possibly in the same area where CP-1 (Chicago Pile 1); the world's first nuclear reactor was set up in 1942. I've been reading that some components of that reactor were used to build the next nuclear reactor in another location, but some parts of it were simply buried.
Murphy is getting out a Dremel saw. Probably to remove her cast. What does she think she can accomplish? This also reminds me when Jim said he was writing Murphy's funeral.

Like she always does, part of the cavalry to save Harry's ass, however her judgement hasn't exactly been on point the last couple of books, that is why she is wearing the cast in the first place, well, love can do that to you.. I remember that too, we all thought he was just messing with us... Then again it might be true.
Looks like Mister is taking up guard duty, protecting little Maggie. Mouse is most likely going to have to be in the field with Harry.
So, uh, shouldn't Harry be protected against Lara since he is truly in love with Murphy? Or am I missing out on some technicality. The other alternatives are... not encouraging.
Well, what happens next in that scene? How far have Harry and Murphy gone? Is Murphy truly in love with Dresden? It took Thomas and Justine a long time to get there.
Considering how the series has emphasized True Love's protection being pretty rare and how Thomas/Justine's didn't kick in for a long while, I wouldn't be surprised if Harry/Murphy haven't hit that point yet. I guess it's possible too Lara does get her vamp on and then protection kicks in afterwards but it'd feel a bit fast when Harry/Murphy only just got together last book.
I'm still not banking on Murphy's death based on Jim's reasoning for injuring Michael instead of killing him, but recklessness definitely.

Yup, but lets not forget that the sex act can shatter that protection. Maybe because Harry's true love will always be Susan, remember that protection lasted for a number of years.. How many true loves is one guy entitled to? So he loves Murphy, but she isn't his true love..

Murphy was hospitalized and has had a cast on her leg after that. They may not have consummated their relationship yet.
I'm not going to spoilerize (That's a new word I just made up.) this next part. Some scenes in the trailer are from Battle Ground.
From the Q&A with Jim and Priscilla, if you look at the 35 second mark of the trailer; which shows many of the characters at the Peace Talks, Mr. Ferro is standing on the left with an unlit cigarette but smoke coming out of his nose, Warden Ramirez, Eb and Warden Chandler are standing on the right, Mab is standing center stage, Molly is sitting on the left, next to her in Ivana; a svartalf who was in a short story with Molly and Thomas, on the right sitting down is Marcone and next to him is Lara Raith.
Well, I just saw the trailer. I will confess that I am not very impressed (except for Mister!! I seriously hope Mister does not die).
Specific comment:
Titans I remember: Gaia, Rhea, Phoebe, Thetys, Ptia?. As Avernite says Thetys is a good suspect for Fomor Queen or something. But Mnemosyne is interesting because it could explain some book inconsistencies as Harry's memory been affected.
About Lara and Harry: I've said several times that I don't think Harry is Truly (as in True Love) inlove with Murph. Perhaps once, but for now I don't think so.
Okay, so a few things.
1. I think he killed one of Marcone's people. I think it might even be Hendricks, who is strangely absent from the trailer. Also it can't be Gard, as she is in the trailer with Harry when Harry says "Oh Thomas"
2. I would say that they get close, but knowing the Dresden Files...probably no home run. Such is Harry's life.
3. What Titan? My bad, I hadn't read the Battle Grounds description. Assuming they mean traditional Greek Titans rather than the Dnd sort, there are many probabilities. Rhea (Queen), Gaia (technically a Progenoi...), Hecate (this is difficult, as most think it is either one or several or all of the Fae Queens - not for nothing was she mentioned in Skin Games...but that might also be a red herring), Tethys (the River Goddess), Phoebe, Leto etc. But what if the clue is in the name? Titania - and Summer declares war on Chicago. Jim did once say that Titania was heavy duty AND she just lost her second daughter AND if Summer won in Summer Knight Bob thought that global warming and increased pathogens were on the cards (sounds a bit too real).
On the other hand, the Last Titan is described as worse than Outsiders and the Red Court and Fallen Angels (specifically of the Blackened Denarius). Which Titania (from what we gather) is not, Mab certainly isn't. Unless the Last Titan is all the Summer Queens. I am getting a bit tinfoil hat here.
Also - The giant footprint at the end of chapter one? With a three foot length, I would roughly say the being in question is around 16 feet tall (give or take). The Fomor had plenty of regular giants in the roster originally, and in Cold Days are said to be related to the Jotun. Although it could be the Last Titan.
Arjan - Why must the assassin be Kincaid? There are several assassins in the books so far, why him?
I am not sure True Love is a protection against WCVs. More like being in love with someone...I know it is semantics but I think the point is that it doesn't have to be your one and only soulmate.
KurtinStGeorge -
Good pickup on Ferro...makes me wonder if Drakul and any of the other Dragons will show up, or will they send Emissaries.
Dina -
It's fair not to like it, but to be unimpressed is just odd. It wasn't meant to be Hollywood-level. Either your expectations are unrealistically high, or you are unreasonably critical. It's meant to simply generate interest and give some fan service. Like a youtube fan film etc. I think production wise it was actually pretty good - and I have been involved in Film on and off for many years now. There were lots of nice touches with editing to conceal some Easter Eggs, and while the casting might not be to everyone's taste, they worked with what they had. Not bad really. I think after putting in so much time and effort and passion, it's more than a little disheartening for the creators and a bit ridiculous and churlish of you to be negative - especially in these difficult times.
So, uh, shouldn't Harry be protected against Lara since he is truly in love with Murphy? Or am I missing out on some technicality. The other alternatives are... not encouraging.
More to the point, didn't we see in the Jury Duty short story that the Winter mantle offers quite a bit of protection from Raith mojo getting to Harry's head? For the knight not to have pretty robust resistance to mind control is a liability for Winter itself.
As for the trailer itself, it was fine. I wish the Q&A had fielded more of the general questions than being mostly about the trailer though.

I disagree. Harry and Murphy have been in love with one another for quite some time. They simply chose not to consummate that love physically. I suspect that has changed.
Heres my take, and I think they played with the ordering in the trailer a bit to make people think That one of Marcone's people died.
Scene 1:
Justine is pregnant. Not really a shocker at this point given what we knew from the sample chapters.
Scene 2:
"The assassin. A creature well known to be your frequent ally." I assume this is Thomas otherwise theres too many plotpoints in this damn book. There are plenty of other assassins or would-be assassins but they tend to not include humans or wizards in the term creature so I feel like once again Thomas is the most likely.
Scene 3:
"What will happen to him?" Evanna responds "Justice". Fairies play word games a lot but the Svartalves are pretty literal and serious in a lot of ways. In this case, I assume she means she believe he will be killed as recompense. I am left to assume Thomas did something to protect Justine since her being pregnant is a big deal to him.
Scene 4:
People who got the invite: Mr Farrow, Evanna, Molly, Marcone, Lara, Carlos/Ebenezar/Chandler/Harry from the White Council are security for the event, and some other dignitaries. At this point it almost looks like Jim was lying to us about the Peace Talks being about the Red Court being gone, though the Fomor might still gatecrash. The trailer could be ommiting the reason for the talks, but they might also be to resolve a dispute between The White Court (Lara is ready to declare war with her new political power and someone took Thomas) and a second party. I think the second party is not Marcone, even though he is Lara's local competition, she is global.
Scene 5:
"This whole conference is Marcone's baby. Hes building alliances." I take it to mean hes operating much the same way he has been for years like with Hades. He is making himself available and playing by the rules so that people get used to seeing him at the table. I assume as Neutral Ground under the accords, Chicago is being declared the place for the Peace Talks. Marcone has been tapped as the organizer and co-host for Mab who called the talks as he is the local expert and Chicago is his territory. He needs the talks to go well, if his power is to grow.... and yet... he is an opportunist. He knows or figured out about Harry and Thomas being related. Even if he didn't, he knows Harry. Harry can't leave a friend to die. And Harry has been a thorn long overdue to be removed. He is setting up a situation where Harry will have to betray Mab to save Thomas, and embarass her at her own peace talks. He is setting Harry up to be removed. That way, no matter what happens, Marcone comes out on top.
Scene 6:
Getting Dressed. "I will pursue my rights under Mab's accords. And She. Will Not. Protect You." He's telling Harry exactly how this will play out if he intervenes to save Thomas. He is taunting him. If you act, as I know you must act, because I know you, then you will be destroyed. She will not protect you.
Scene 7:
"I'm going to take my brother back. And I am going to kill anyone who gets in my way. And you Sir Knight, are going to help me." This is very in-character for Lara. She protects her family with a passion similar to how Marcone protects his people. Perhaps, more so. She needs to if she wishes to remain in power. It's even possible, as we do not know if white females can reproduce, that she needs him to literally keep the house going. She might need him to make baby Raithes with whatever mortal females he can, especially if her father is having trouble. It could also be she sees the baby as a threat, if she can take care of that on her own or get her father to. We don't know. Either way, she intends to use Harry as her weapon like she always has been rewarded for doing. He is after all, the most magnificent weapon she has ever wielded. Not that Harry needs much more motivation, but they have a deal. If either one is about to go nuclear, they have to warn the other one. And they need to keep their shared secret for both of them to remain in power. If anyone finds out about him and Thomas they can end her control just as easily as manipulate harry.
Scene 8:
"Don't think I can't see whats happening." Harry lies lamely. Carlos is seeing some suspicious shit. He knows Harry is supposed to be there for council security but hes conniving with Lara. Hes working for Mab. Hes working against Marcone. Carlos isn't stupid and he knows shit is about to blow up in his face. Security is not going to be going well. He confronts harry about it.
Scene 9:
Harry and Lara in an intimate scene. I find it more likely they are covering up a conversation when they hear someone coming than her having her hooks in him. I am sure winter appreciates the scene though.
Scene 10:
Harry getting ready to fight
Scene 11:
Molly having to save Harry from himself and his bad choices, and also having to protect Winter. You can see the regret in her eyes as she casts a spell.
Scene 12:
"Your choices have made you an outlier" Voice I don't recognize saying your choices have made you an outlier. Now, given, I am used to James Marsters. It could be McCoy but I think the actor sounds different. Possibly Mr. Farrow or someone else.
Scene 13:
Harry in the cage with Thomas, his pants off. Captured?
Scene 14:
Murphy thinking of cutting her cast off. The lighting seems similar to where Maggie is. Could she be watching Maggie for Dresden? Does she need to Gun Up to defend the house, or is she coming to help?
Scene 15:
Harry watching Maggie sleep with Mister
Scene 16:
Ebenezar saying please tell me you aint dumb enough to try this, when he figures out Harry is going to betray Mab and attack the peace talks to save Thomas. This in fact, put him at odds with Harry because McCoy is in charge of security. Harry says he is plenty dumb enough. Queue Codex Alera fury crafting symbols as Harry powers up some spell.
Scene 17:
Harry is in some tight space that is bricked up. It could be undertown, it could be a chimney. Regardless, he is singing a spider man theme song. He is not hiding if hes singing. He could be stuck in a tight space. Trapped? There is some light. Maybe hes deciding if he can lift himself out or get himself out and it will take some strength.
Spoiler Battlegrounds Description:
Harry has faced terrible odds before. He has a long history of fighting enemies above his weight class. The Red Court of vampires. The fallen angels of the Order of the Blackened Denarius. The Outsiders.
But this time it’s different. A being more powerful and dangerous on an order of magnitude beyond what the world has seen in a millennium is coming. And she’s bringing an army. The Last Titan has declared war on the city of Chicago, and has come to subjugate humanity, obliterating any who stand in her way.
Harry’s mission is simple but impossible: Save the city by killing a Titan. And the attempt will change Harry’s life, Chicago, and the mortal world forever.
So... to me I was sure it was Prometheus or Oceanus until I saw her/she. Prometheus was set Free my Hercules.... though it didn't really fit him since he wanted to help humanity.
Oceanus though, was never imprisoned and helped Zeus. He was a big ocean titan and he fathered many river gods and oceanids with his wife Tethys, his sister, who is almost barely mentioned. New thoughts sprung forth. If he wasn't imprisoned in Tartarus, she probably wasn't either... check. What if he is imprisoned now? What if he lies within demonreach? His wife has come to collect him, and she leads the fomor in that endeavor? It says she specifically declared was on Chicago. Harry's town. Not anywhere else.... and the fomor Jim mentioned attack in peace talks... could be her army. Her children.
I'm afraid that I'm going to have to make a couple of posts to add a few relevant thoughts...
Heres my take, and I think they played with the ordering in the trailer a bit to make people think That one of Marcone's people died.
Please pardon me doing some trimming. But I'm not sure of one of Marcone's people actually died or not, we just know that he appears to be the offended party. And that simply could be because he is the official host.
What we do know is that "blood has been spilled", which we saw as a Very Bad Thing when Mab has decided that everyone should play nice--and it's her Accords.
Matter of fact, the "blood spilled" may only be Thomas's--because he clearly got his backside kicked, whatever it was that he tried. Though it does appear (and that may be the key word, because...Jim) that Thomas was attempting to kill someone. If that was Marcone, I think we can guess who handed out the beating.
Scene 4:
People who got the invite: Mr Farrow, Evanna, Molly, Marcone, Lara, Carlos/Ebenezar/Chandler/Harry from the White Council are security for the event, and some other dignitaries. Not necessarily people who got the invite, just the ones the trailer had the budget to display.
For the rest, I'll simply refer to Chapter One.
People are drawing some odd conclusions from this scene. It's not as if Harry hasn't gotten dressed for a formal occasion off in a room with someone else before.
Scene 9:
Harry and Lara in an intimate scene. I find it more likely they are covering up a conversation when they hear someone coming than her having her hooks in him. I am sure winter appreciates the scene though.
Just to play Devil's Advocate, how do you know that isn't Goodman Grey? Or, remember the Skin Game trailer, where Harry was fooling around with Murphy? We all know how that one turned out.
Scene 11:
Molly having to save Harry from himself and his bad choices, and also having to protect Winter. You can see the regret in her eyes as she casts a spell.
What I see is Molly reaching out to touch an invisible barrier (though perhaps commentary said more elsewhere). White Council Security--specifically Carlos, IIRC, has been known to put those up around meeting places before. If Molly is unable to get through, it would be one way for Jim to exclude one of Harry's (now) most powerful allies at a time when he needs all the help he can get. Much the way that Mouse is usually now sidelined with Maggie duties.
Scene 12:
"Your choices have made you an outlier" Voice I don't recognize saying your choices have made you an outlier. Now, given, I am used to James Marsters. It could be McCoy but I think the actor sounds different. Possibly Mr. Farrow or someone else.
The gravelly voice makes me think Mr. Ferro. (sp?)
Scene 13:
Harry in the cage with Thomas, his pants off. Captured?
After he snaked his way down a narrow space (ventilation shaft?) to get to Thomas--and his tuxedo pants got caught on something on the way?
Remember that in the Skin Game trailer, the production was limited by budget to "similar" settings, some of which were pretty distant from the actual setting. I think the point here was just to show Harry squirming down somewhere singing the Spiderman theme.

I found myself wondering. If the naagloshii were the small fry imprisoned on Demonreach, where a Titan would fit in the pecking order of the powers that are entombed in crystal there.
