I dread to think about what the Archivy would be.  And its effects.

I have a feeling it would have to contain Absythe.

"Mab":
1.5 parts UV Blue Vodka
1.5 parts Lemonade
1 part Mountain Dew “White Out” (limited edition)

Fill glass with ice, crushed or otherwise.  Pour UV Blue and lemonade into the glass, then top with Mountain Dew White Out.

Frozen blueberry margarita.

Frozen and blue I think would be required.

"Eldest Brother Gruff"(Mug):
Bailey's coffee, foam, a dusting of donut crumbs

Okay, I now see my idea of a "Harry Dresden" being straight grain alcohol ("IT BURNS!") was lame to the extreme. The "Hellfire" kicks its ass.

and two of them will kick YOUR ass.  Seriously.  The bar I went to that served it wouldn't let you have more than two, and for good reason.  That thing will wipe your slate clean.

I'm sure I read somewhere in one of the books how one of the female characters referred to Dresden as a "Long tall drink of water".

Hence, "Dresden" - simple, classic, tall glass of water.  Serve chilled with lemon, or hot and bothered with a dash of tomato juice and tabasco, which ever suits your taste at the time!

....huh.  I never thought of that.  Actually a good idea.

Ok, so I put my noggin to work and came up with some Dresden inspired drinks.  Feel free to add!

"Cowl"(shot):
1 oz. Grenadine
2 oz. Captain Morgan’s Tattoo (Spiced Rum)
Top with a splash of Vanilla Vodka
Directions: Pour the grenadine into a double shot glass.  Layer the Tattoo rum on top by pouring over a bar spoon.  Top off with a short layer of vanilla vodka.

"The Winter Lady"(Martini):
42 Below Vodka (any Vodka I suppose, just thought that was funny)
Apple Cider
Blue Curacao
Shake with fresh lime
Finish with sparkling white wine.
(sorry, missed the proportions on that one.  should be greatest to least)

"Lilly"(Highball):
1/2 Shot Gold Tequila
1 shot Blue Curacao
1 1/2 Shots OJ
1 Shot Pineapple Juice
1/2 shot (squeeze) Lime
1/2 Shot Cointreau
 Shake and serve over ice.

"Fix"(highball):
3/4 shot Blue Curacao
1/2 bottle Mike’s Hard Limeade
1/2 shot Melon Liqueur
1/2 Lime (cut into wedges)
Cut your half a lime into four wedges.  Squeeze the lime juice into a highball glass and then drop them in the bottom.  Add some ice overtop the limes, then pour in the Blue Curacao.  Add the Mike’s Hard Limeade until the glass is almost full, then top with your Bols Melon.  Stir a bit with a straw and enjoy.  Tip: make sure you don’t add too much Bols Melon, or the melon flavor will overpower the lime.

"Mac's Dark"(highball?):
3/4 shot of 99 Bananas
3/4 shot of Coconut Rum
about 1/2 a highball glass of Root Beer
about 1/2 a highball glass of  Fuze-Banana Colada
Throw some ice into a nice, large highball glass.  Pour in the 3/4 shots of 99 Bananas and coconut rum.  Then, simultaneously pour in the Banana Colada Fuze and your favorite root beer evenly until it reaches the top of the glass.  Stir and enjoy.

"Three Eye"(Rocks Glass):
1 shot Watermelon Vodka
2 shots Rose’s Blue Raspberry Mix (Cocktail Infusions)
1/2 glass Monster Energy Drink
Pour in the Watermelon Vodka in a rocks glass over ice.  Add the Blueberry Martini Mix next and then layer the Monster on top.

"Sue"(Highball):
1 Shot Sour Apple Liqueur
1/2 Shot Melon Liqueur
1/2 Shot Lime Juice
2 Shots Apple juice
Shake, serve over ice.

"Fuego!/Hellfire"(snifter):
Equal parts Bacardi 151, Redhot Schnapps, and White Creme de Menthe.
THIS IS A FLAMING DRINK.  SOME RULES YOU SHOULD FOLLOW HERE:http://www.drinknation.com/bartending/flaming-drinks
Combine all into snifter with a narrow opening.  Ignite.  To drink, cover with your hand COMPLETELY to put out the flame, drink like a shot, Re-ignite the fumes (and there WILL still be fumes in the glass), again put out the flame, but instead of taking your hand off the glass, stick a straw between your fingers, and suck out the remaining fumes.  This is a modified "Flaming Green Martian" from a bar near my Alma Mater. I don't know the measurements, but I'd guess it's a half a shot of each.  Trust me when I say you shouldn't do more than 2 of these.  LOL!

"Molly"(Highball):
1 Shot Bols Strawberry (or just Strawberry Liqueur)
1 Shot Bols Raspberry (or just Raspberry Liqueur)
1/2 Shot Peach Juice
2 1/2 Shots Milk
1/2 Shot Blue Curacao
Shake first 4 ingredients with ice, pour into highball, layer Blue Curacao on top, serve.

"He Who Walks Behind"(Highball):
1 Shot Vodka
1/2 Shot Banana Liqueur
1/2 shot Blue Curacao
1 Shot Black Sambuca
1/2 Shot Cherry Liqueur
1/2 Shot Lime Juice
Sprite
Shake first six ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled highball.  Top with Sprite and two Cherries (for the eyes, you see).

"Kincaid"(Highball):
1 1/4 oz Vodka
1 1/4 oz Malibu Rum
3/4 oz Midori
2 tbsp pineapple juice
1 splash cranberry juice
Mix well, serve in chilled glass or over ice.

"Hendricks"(Shot):
1/2 Shot Butterscotch Schnapps
1/2 Shot Goldschlager
Mix and Drink.  Kinda tastes like Carrot Cake.  Get it?  Carrot cake, carrot top?  Heh.

That's all I've got for now!  I'll come up with something for Murph, etc later.  Anyone else have ideas?

What help do you need?  I have a fair amount of free time and Pris and I had..well, not DISCUSSED, but more commented that I'd love to help in any way possible.  I have a home recording setup and do voice over here in the Twilight Zone (sunny LA).  I already do occasional help with a Farscape Podcast, and would LOVE to help out with Butcher Block! ;D

I was looking at buying one. I mean a really good one. prices in US$ ranged up to 700.00 for reasonable designs

Only pimping I am doing on these forums:  www.pendragoncostumes.com

Look for the Highwayman duster.  I have one for my Harry Costume.  Jim also has one.  'snice...and not $700.  Still 'spensive, but not $700

End pimping.  Sorry.

NOW, who has more questions?

Ooo!  Ooo!! An "Ask Bob" segment. He is a knowledge repository. People could write in and ask what they want to know. But...Bob IS Bob...(anyone heard "Ask Dr. Science?")  Could be fun...or am I being silly?

Opening on a Friday, right? What poor sap are we gonna get to stand in line for hours and save spots? Matt, if we do a midnight screening, I may be forced to try one of those Butt-Flavored Energy Concoctions. And it'll be all your fault. Just pray that Sue isn't tired; caffeinating her can qualify as a public hazard. :D

See, the little Dennis the Menace inside me just wants to go buy a bunch of the stuff now...try on the grey hooded cloak of Enabler.

Dude, awesome!  There will definitely be IMAX shenanigans opening weekend, if not opening night.  If not the midnight screening. :D

Hell ya!  I'm a big midnight screening person.  Especially this movie.
