I like Discovery too. Though they did that alternate universe stuff again. This is so old in Star Trek and has been done so many times I can't count. So it got a bit on my nerves. Sweaty dark cajal Kirk was funny and goatee Spock too, but alternate universe has been used too many times IMHO. But I admit, in Discovery they did it quite well. And I thought Oh no, I liked the captain!!! Damn.

Oh, he might be Harry the White, because Lara will dress him in white, like she always wanted. ;)
Like Margaret LeFay he will be Harry TheWhite. Because of the clothes and the ties to the White Court.

Hi!
I might be absent for a week or so. Tomorrow I'm starting with the first of 7 nights. ... First of Seven not Seven of Nine lol
By the way, my husband and I admitted once that sometimes we only watched Star Trek Voyager because of Seven of Nine. She was rocking that thight fancy one piece suit. And I was fascinated by her hair. I wanted to copy it, but didn't understand how to hide the ends. Every time I thought I came near, suddenly half the hair was in my face again, LOL.
I think they might have used a lot of hair spray.

Soon there will be the next Alex Verus on the market. I've already ordered my copy. It is at the shop but I'm not allowed to get it before the release date.
Funny story. They called me, my ordered book is there. I said OK, I come and get it. Then I called back (because I am too honest and stupid ;) ), that can't be the right book, because the release date is next week in the USA and Canada and everywhere else in two weeks. I didn't expect it arriving before Christmas, to be honest.
Then they looked it up and found out about the release date, but the delivery came without information. And they are not allowed to sell it before. If they had known, they wouldn't even have called. So if I hadn't been too lazy to drive all the way to the bookstore for the presumable wrong book, they wouldn't have known. And I would have the book now.

... I think, working in a book store would be a good idea for my older daughter. *makes innocent face*

Maen!
I just wanted to tell you, Mikrome is fine. She can move her arm any way she likes and there is no swelling, just a lot of blue and red skin.

Maybe you have summoned her now. 8)

The cat was a crazy one. You had to put a fat cushion behind you, if you wanted to stay seated or sit on the edge where she couldn't reach you.
And she attacked everything that was seen outside a blanket except the head and everything moving under a blanket.
And the weirdest thing: she had a plastic fetish. There are still plastic garden shoes and Barbie dolls with bite marks. She destroyed every plastic bag she could find. But such a funny cutie.
I remember when we had guests and they wanted to sit on the sofa.
Wait a moment. OK. Better not. Wait until she is gone and when she comes back... run. LOL

But I have to sleep now. I'm tired. Good night. "See" you.

Omg that's funny. ;D
Our sofa used to stick little daggers in your butt, if you sat on it. LOL
In reality it was the little cat beneath it, who had a lot of fun hunting for hapless body parts that touched the seat.

Thank you all.
I think it is not so bad. She fell asleep very fast. So the pain can't be too bad any more. I'll just look for swelling or haematoms in the morning, and if there isn't any, she can go to school.
She said she bumped her head and her elbow. Could be she hit the wrong nerves so the pain spread.
This is what you get, when you do acrobatics on a sofa. Usually it is for sitting or sleeping. ;)
I always said, a sofa is a dangerous place to be, if you don't use it for it's purposes. Once I sprained an ankle getting up. What does life want to tell me? Stay seated! LOL

Hopefully there won't be a wedding... But a collection of twelve short stories would be good, depending on how long it takes to get them out.
Well, in an ideal world there will be an announcement at Christmas: "Hey weirdos, look what I've done. In the 6 years since Skin Game I have not only written a new book and splitted it in two, but I have also created a new short story collection, you can purchase NOW!"
In an ideal world. Just saying.  ;)

I hope your daughter is okay Regen. Here there are lots of private labs with x-ray. Nothing like that where you live?
Okay that part just made me hungry..
Think orange peel marinade and an oven.
Yummy. LOL. I hope no one gets the idea. There are only 6 of them yet. And only one female. A beautiful cream coloured one. I do think they were put there on purpose. This area has been created artificially out of a compromise the water power company had negotiated with the community to reestablish the wild life there, because the original bed of the river has dried out and a lot of animals who lived there died, because of the canal the company built. You can still see, where the original side arm of the river was. I believe the ducks were part of that wild life revival, or they came on their own. I don't know. But they were not here a few years ago.
I even gave them "names" already. Like "Fat old Mr Duck" or "Bella Duck" or "Biting Duck Jr" . ;)

And no. All of the doctors around have given up their x-rays. Not sure why. But maybe I can try at the orthopedic centre. It is in the city too, in the same building as a little hospital, but not the hospital itself. Usually you have to wait a few weeks to get an appointment there, but maybe they can take us in as an emergency and because she is a child. But I fear they will say, we have to go to the hospital and come to them for treatment afterwards. This would be the usual way. You have a broken limb, you go to a hospital, they fix you, you go home, and everything that has to be done afterwards is done by your local doctor or by an orthopedic doctor.

Me too.

But how sure is it that there will be a whole book. I have watched one interview where he said that. But to me it sounded like it was a new idea, that he doesn't know how to write that, but he feels, there has to be something about dealing with trauma in between.

I have the feeling, and I would be OK with this, if 12 Months would be a short story collection of 12 stories taking place in the 12 months between BG and the wedding.

I absolutely agree about Blackthorne! I love that man (watching him in Arrow was a delight) and I think he did a great job as Harry.
Oh yes, I watched Arrow only because of him. :-* Otherwise I didn't like Arrow so much.

My little one fell from the sofa today and her arm is still hurting. I hope it is not broken. If it is not better tomorrow and there is swelling, we will have to go to the hospital. I hope not. I would like to avoid hospitals with my kids these days. But none of the other doctors has x-ray.

Today we were at a side arm of the river. There are ducks who like to be fed. We had fun. The ducks are cute. When they notice someone coming, it looks like they run over the water towards you. We are definitely not the only ones feeding them. One of the adult male ducks is already very fat.

After that we threw maple seeds from the bridge into the river. That was fun too, because when falling they look like little helicopters, and you can do a contest, which one stays in the air the longest.

This would be a good idea. Some people really need to know what is at stake.
