Seriously.

Merlin is said to remember the future the way other man remember the past.  We know, given how Demonreach was created, that Merlin played with time… hard.  We also know Harry will at some point break the law against time travel.  We know Harry felt a kinship to Demonreach even before he claimed it… why is that?

It makes sense for Harry to… be… Merlin.

When did that happen.  In Dead Beat he was “Wild Fae”.  Did something change or did Mr. Butcher change his mind?

Didn’t Molly mention having significant financial resources as Winter Lady… as such… and because it would make Harry more effective and efficient as Winter Knight shouldn’t Harry ask Mab about a salary or financial resources available to him as Winter Knight?

Any other questions Harry should address to Mab?

Harry had played it cool and not shamed the Merlin.  We all saw the various windows in Harry’s soulgaze of Molly.  Suppose the Merlin imposed the Doom of Damocles on Molly but assigned her apprenticeship to Eb… or LtW instead of Harry.  Would she be the Warden image we saw.  More capable in battle because her Master was less gentle with her in training?

I’m re-reading Side Jobs and recently finished the Thomas Novella “Backup”.  In it Thomas mentions that “True Love” is a defense against all Wamps.  Then we have the short story “Love Hurts” where a Ramp is helping brew up a potion that helps facilitate “True Love” in mortals to make it more difficult for Wamps to feed. 

Here’s my problem.  This makes sense as a defense to Raith style Wamps who feed on lust which is a twisting of love.  Why would it work on Skavis and Malvora types?  Should genuine deeply felt “hope” defeat a Skavis’ desire to feed on Despair and genuine deeply held “faith” (in something) work to defeat a Malvora’s feeding on fear? 

Clearly the three methods of Wamp feeding fear, despair, and lust were conceived as being oppositional to the three virtues of faith, hope, and love.  Why would “true love” defeat all wamps?

Harry was surprised by Justine’s actions.  He didn’t see something coming it happened in a flash.  Normal when he left…Elaine under the mental whamy when he got home. 

Why?

What changed that made Justin move so suddenly that Harry perceived nothing out of the ordinary until he got home.  That doesn’t sound planned it sounds rushed… desperate.  What happened that prompted Justin to move precipitously rather than slowly put the whamy on Eleane and Harry over time so they didn’t knowit was coming?

We’ve seen that the slow whams are the best.  This was pretty clearly a desperate act.

Several times in the series Harry gets the “mind magic… mental whammy” attempted against him.  It’s magic… so… wouldn’t a quick magic circle be a nice quick block to such efforts?

Several times Mab has said things like “finally a knight worth the trouble” when Harry defies her.  If his defiance and strength are so useful to her why would she want him to simply succumb to the beastial urges of the Winter Mantle as Harry keeps implying or saying in the books since he has become the Winter Knight?
