Murphy wasn't just abrasive in the first couple books, she was a straight-up asshole, especially in Fool Moon.
Just an uptight cop, I think. She took him home and made him comfortable, like any decent human being would do (and most won't) so...

If this were potter-world, Riddle would have been the guy that Adopted Harry in the first place.
Wrong, he'd have adopted Mavra, she's just as sexy as he is. Match made in heaven.

He's going to need some sort of weapons locker for the perfectly normal firearms anyway if Maggie is around. Might as well have a docking station for storing magical things-that-go-boom safely.
Knock knock....
- Who's there?
- Beast badass come to kick your ass.
- Oh, give me 5 minutes to get my stuff and I'll be right out.
Bleh. Doesn't work.
Okay, on a serious note, maybe magick a little spot to be invisible to anyone but him. Yep...

DF Spoilers / Re: Would Harry have worked with Cowl?

As I said in a different thread, the whole point of going Insta God (besides getting a kick ass power upgrade) would be the lack of external influence. He'd still be himself and making his own choices, so bubye Cowl.

Magic works on the same principles for everyone. If Maeve found that dry blood is useless to her, I think it's unlikely that it would work for the damn mutt

Didn't Harry once note that the Council has a sample of his blood to track him if he goes rogue? That suggests there might be some way to establish a long-term link. Here, using the blood in the Snoopy ritual while the blood was still good might have made the Snoopy a long-term link.

I mean, Mouse drags it in a circle while making squeeky growls. That sounds like chanting while closing a circle to me.
Yes, if you take a blood sample properly, put it in a vial with anticoagulant, it'd keep for a goodly long while. Dry blood is worth f@** all as a link

It's very time and energy consuming. And they have to be refreshed every 6 months or so., and Harry always has a lot on his plate.

Yes, unlikely. I don't think there's more to it than Mouse's ability to sense the supernatural.
Forumghost: keep in mind that the Loup Garou curse lasted for centuries. And I'd say it's useless for tracking/thaumaturgy, not necessarily useless as food. I've eaten much worse. Hehe

Don't recall that happening?  Even so, it's not in the laws of magic.
Ehm, Turncoat?
But you do have a point. It's not in the laws of magic. However, the death of a wizard is considered Council business, and thus subject to investigation, capture and trial of the accused. It's not a mortal (heh) affair.
If its the scene Im thinking of, I dont think he did (at least not in the strict subconscious Free Will sense).  He was "instinctively"  moving to save Mort and tripped.

What? Like Harry tripped and Mort fell?

Mort used Harry's spirit against his will in GS, how is that different? I'm leaning towards the "Intent" theory.

I doubt it, since the power of the Swords even predated the Crucifixion itself.  I think they are more or less Object Mantles, Powerful embodiment of their given Abstract concept, much like living mantles. It's why the Faith part was so much more important than the Sword part, and how it could be Kusanagi way back in BC times.
The Swords have the nails from the Crucifix in them but the actually predate the Crucifixion?
Also, they're a conduit to TWG's power.

Oh, he'll blame Harry for making the Plan go sideways, but he'd never let anyone give any CREDIT for the plan itself.  He doesnt even seem all that willing to share that credit with Anduriel...

And frankly, I suspect he has his hands full with a very Angry Tessa.  It very much was not HER plan, and then Nic couldnt even get Revenge right, getting scared off by a nerd in a tent-sized coat and something that OBVIOUSLY couldnt be a real lightsaber  ;)
Maybe the nature of the Mantis will solve some problems eh?
I think yes, Nick, if given the chance, will go for Maggie, as a way of sharing the pain. If he had lost his girl, why should Dresden keep his, after all? But he's a creature centuries old, and characterized as ruthless, cunning, industrious and VERY patient. He makes plans, but doesn't get bent out of shape if they fail, as long as he accomplishes even a secondary mission. I don't think he'll go out of his way to harm Maggie.
