I spent all day working on getting a layout scheme done. I haven't been all that happy with ones I've touched on in the past, but this time, I think I finally got it:

At first I thought "dang, that's a lot of columns on one page!" Then I realized that these were side-by-side pages. Duh. ::)
Interesting border, nice mix of text and graphics, visually pleasing. I know I can't wait!

looking great so far, love the border work. One thing that always seems to escape people is the border, games like Wraith used it to great effect *freakin' creepy really* but most games just leave it blank and boring, not sure if this has to do with printing costs or not. Keep up the good work!

It costs more to print a book with graphics that bleed off the page edge, yes. :) The lads at Evil Hat seem bound and determined to put out the highest quality product they can muster.

Now if only they had paid as much attention to the text and editing.

In the middle crease they have garpihics that make it look like the old style cheap string bindings like you would expect in an old wizards grimoire. Now thats attention to detail. Now if only they had paid as much attention to the text and editing.
Or the game. They managed to take everything I loved about Mage: The Ascension and neatly remove it from Mage: The Awakening.
Ahem, but that is off topic, sorry. Yeah, the layout looks pretty cool. Borders do add to the visual presentation , I just hope it pays off for you guys.

Oh, man. I really need to start reading this section of the forum. This looks AMAZING, Fred! I'm totally blown away. The art, the layout... I can't wait until it comes out, and I can read all the text without going blind. :D

i mentioned that there was going to be a rpg and my bf immediatly asked me if i knew when it was going to be released :) apparently he's going to have the guy at the game store keep an eye out for it and than (if its not TOO expensive) buy me a present. LOL

I've already called my GM and told him I'm running a game/chronicle with this. I've even started the ideas of the game so I can have guidelines when I finally get the rules in print (and not the pdf version on the Fate website)
