DF Spoilers / Re: A warden's sword for Harry...

When Harry gets his sword, I see tons of Star Wars quotes and references.

FTFY. Because C'mon, it's Harry,.

WoJ is that the Library of Congress is a secret cabal dedicated to keeping the Supernatural Hidden (these are the guys who vanished the Werewolf tape from Fool Moon)

They're apparently Super Badasses that think anything Supernatural is capital E Evil (iirc they're partly behind Murphy's Career tanking just for being friends with a Wizard)

Atrocities were committed everywhere throughout history. When the First Crusade got to Jerusalem, they say the City ran ankle-deep in blood. Alexander the Great brutally marched his Army conquering everything in sight. The British slaughtered, divided and enslaved countless to build their Empire. The treatment of Native Americans by Settlers. Etc, Etc.

That's War. That's Empire. It's a terrible, evil thing. But Napoleon and Caesar (bastards though they are) aren't really comparable with the acts of Hitler and the Holocaust, or Stalin's purges.

After all, He Who Must Not Be Named did great things - Terrible, yes, but great.

On the other hand, Capiorcorpus wasn't in a hurry when choosing that particular body.

So either that body has Wizard level talent, which means at some point Luccio can regain all her skills, just reskinned for the new body, or there are ways to deal with lower talented bodies if you are a Wizards soul with higher skills stuck in them.

And Luccio could discover those potentially too.

Ghost Harry seemed able to pull his usual stunts in Molly's body without trouble. She even comments on it afterwards.

So it's likely just a matter of time and adjustment. Give her about a century to hit her stride again and Luccio should be okay. (That said, Corpsetaker seemed to think that the right body made a difference, so who knows?)

DF Spoilers / Re: Nemesis Factions...?

I'd say that it implies that it's hard to differentiate  Harry taking to the status quo with a baseball bat to Nemesis and/or anyone else doing the same thing- from the outside looking in anyway.

DF Spoilers / Re: WK Mantle or Lawbreaker taint?

I think the thing to remember is that the Laws of Magic (Council Edition)=/=Laws of Magic(Universe Edition)

Sometimes, the Council will allows things, even though they might taint a person. Sometimes, they might kill you, even if you're in the clear on Magic Corruption.

In the specific case of Harry Nuking the Rampires, I'd say that he's in the clear in terms of corruption- Harry did nothing magical at all, he just killed a Half-Ramp with a knife, in a time and place that triggered someone else's spell. And on top of that, what Harry did didn't kill them- it just took away what had prevented them from aging, causing them to die of natural causes shortly after.

If there was any taint, I'd expect it to land on the hands of the Spellcaster (in this case whichever Rampires performed the ritual) but they're in the clear by virtue of being Rampires anyway.

So magically he's probably fine. Which leaves us with the Council's views on the matter.

Under normal Circumstances they'd very much like to kill him, much like they'd kill a Ritualist that murdered with Magic, even if those are essentially cosmic Bribery used to have a God/Gods kill for you, and arguably don't result in Black Magic taint at all as a result, because the Laws aren't necessarily about avoiding Warlocks, they're about restraining power.

However, Harry in this case has just Cosied up to the biggest bitch in the Prison Yard (Mab) and his stunt has wiped out Public Enemy #1- the Rampires. Which means that it's a bad move to go after him unless you A) have no other Choice and B) Have an Iron-Clad-Case.

So while the Council will give him a pass on this, they're probably quietly sharpening their axes and waiting for the first opportunity to swing.

Harry will never get a Warden Sword, half the reason that Jim had Luccio body-swapped was to prevent Harry getting something that useful. Besides, the man has enough crap to carry around as it is, any more equipment and he'd need to invent a bag of holding

Though if he did get a Warden Sword, the obvious choice would be a Sabre, since we know that Harry's preferred style of swordplay is fencing.

DF Spoilers / Re: Has anyone put Nic's plan togther?
« on: July 02, 2017, 01:55:32 PM »
Nah, I think Nicko is the ones that's gonna fuck everything up. Remember, Jim's plan was for 20 Books, with a Denarian Book every 5.

Which means that Nick is in for one final run before the BAT hits. I think that in Book 20 he's going to win, and that event will be what sparks the BAT.

I think Hannah Ascher would have liked that, if it were true.

But so far as I know, it's not

It's not technically 'allowed' but it's a mitigating factor, which is why Harry is still NBA tall. If Hannah had gone in with the Wardens and plead her case she could have had a suspended sentence like Harry did.

Unfortunately without someone on the Council willing to stick their neck out the chance is about .000000001% of it actually happening, but that's just because the Council are a bunch of asshats that actively discourage any attempts to reform Warlocks- even ones like Harry or Molly that were found early enough they might be salvageable.

DF Spoilers / Re: WAG: What Rashid's Eye Does...
« on: June 20, 2017, 11:49:47 PM »
This was my theory from a few years ago but the debbie doubters here didn't take it up.

It makes sense with dresden stepping on the island because then Rashid would be able to see the power levels in Harry skyrocket

"Rashid, what does the Scouter say about his power level?"

DF Spoilers / Re: Weapons that can kill Immortals?

Heck, we should take it further. Capture a wide variety of these rare and exotic Supernatural Creatures and hold them in similar enclosures. Make it some sort of theme park. It's a perfect plan.

Would it even notice?  It could wander around all night in that thing and potentially never realize it's contained.  Especially if there are sources of meat inside.

Seems like a good idea to me. We should do all we can to simulate the natural habitat of these creatures when constructing their enclosures.

I doubt he has much of an ego after recent events.

And besides, is it really ego if he's actually that good?

DF Spoilers / Re: Are the Mothers immune to iron?

I like to think that Mother Winter is just so badass/powerful that despite being just as vulnerable to Iron as any other Faerie, she keeps some in her mouth as a statement. "I use my own personal Kryptonite as Dentures, you want some of this?"
