Title: The Business End of Authorhood.

I have been having trouble finding information about the business of writing. Like taxes and whatnot. How to do the business end of becoming a writer. I heard tell of a change in the tax laws and I was hoping that the published authors here could tell me where to find this info or could actually tell me abut it.

I don't know what you mean by a change in tax laws, but these sites should give you a starting point:

Note that they don't necessarily have the latest info. For that, you have to check the IRS website.

Both great links on taxes. I've personally not thrown myself into that area of study enough, but as for general business links, here are a few I've stuck on my website.

Also, to avoid the nasty side of the business, check out Writer, Beware, where people devote their precious time uncovering and prosecuting scamming agents and publishing houses. They also dedicate a decent portion to the writing biz itself.
