Title: Another Spidey novel?

I just finished reading The Darkest Hours, and I loved it.  Ah how I wish the Spider-Man directors would learn that Spider-Man is a WISE-ASS...sigh...

Kudos to Jim on another great novel.

But my big question is, are there any plans for another Spidey novel?  As much as I love Dresden, I would also like to see what else Jim can do with the web head!

I vote for the real hobgoblin.. out of all spidey's bad guys, he was the most.. professional. downright competent, even.

Alas, the problem in the movies is there's just no time! If you want the furious pace that most of Spidey's battles run at, even voiceovers would be too slow and would interfere with the action. I just wish at some point the writers would use Peter's trash-talking to annoy a villian and lure him/her away from civilians. After all, Spidey's lip is a tactic -- annoy the bad guys unmercifully until they make a mistake.

Loved Jim's take on Spidey, and especially his take on MJ and Peter's relationship. Too many Spider-writers approach their marriage with all the enthusiasm of nine-year old boys. (Which is why the editors periodically try to bump her off, or send her off to the hinterlands.)

But honestly, the trash-talking is all that's really needed. And it's needed badly.

I find it highly ironic that it's SAM FREAKIN' RAIMI who dropped that ball.
