So i have no money, nor rewards to give out or ANYTHING like that. so this is purely a exercise.

And it's a simple one, simply put, write what a soul gaze with Harry would be like, what would the person enter the gaze see and how would that translate to us, the readers.

First and foremost, tell us WHO perspective we are seeing this from for any of the soul gazes that have been mention in the book (so for example tell use what that your perspective is from John Marcone in Storm Front, or Molly in Proven Guilty, or even PREBOOKs instances that are mentioned such as Elaine soul gaze with a teen-aged Harry, or Ebeneezer's soul gaze upon first meeting Harry.

Try to keep it as plausible as possible, feel free to use a soul gaze that is NOT mentioned, but as i said try to keep it plausible, don't have Harry soul gazing say Nicodemus, and remember context, if you go off say, Elaine's soul gaze with Harry as teenager remember the Veiwpoint is a teenage girl who just spent the evening with her first lover.

try to keep the format here to prevent any spoilers

Author Craft / Oddity about Woman Authors
« on: May 22, 2016, 09:16:35 PM »
Has anyone else noticed a trend in urban fantasy and fantasy romances written by female authors that female authors tend to put more sexual violence in their works? I mean, I have ZERO issue with such acts in literature (I understand that such depravity can be good for a story and all that), I'm just wondering why female author seems to think their works must include a truly ridiculous amount of it, it seem that a lot of urban fantasy book I read by female articles includes such acts in EVERY book from a given storyline, or setting, and some even include multiple instances in a single novelization.

Not criticizing or anything, just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

Author Craft / Re: political correctness in the writting community
« on: January 02, 2016, 08:07:47 PM »
political correctness has it's place in a ficitonal story,, it should be a tool for you to use, simple as that.

the purpose of fictional writing to to explore possibilities, not all possiblity are good, nor are they all politically correct, lets look at dresden, in jim (and harry's) own word, he a chauvinistic sexist pig, he does NOT treat woman equal to men, he is very politically incorrect

and thats part of his charm, people and readers LIKE him.

you will never appeal to all audience, ever, something you write will ALWAYS be offensive to someone, but so long as you write a intriguing story, it shouldn't matter.
