I was re-reading BG and remembered a thought I'd had he first time regarding a conversation between Listen and Ethniu... When Harry was listening with Grimalkin's senses. Corb had already been dismissed from the conversation when the following conversation took place...

I don't recall seeing discussions on this, but did Listen just claim to be a starborn?

DF Spoilers / Oversight or a bit twisted?

I know that Jim has had Harry jump through some somewhat twisted hoops before, If I remember correctly, part of Harry's tryst with Susan was because someone bet Jim that he couldn't make a S&M scene a significant plot point...
But in Cold Days, we eventually find out that Maeve and Sarissa are sisters, but in the first part of the book, when Maeve tries to seduce Harry at his Birthday Party, she makes the following comment about Sarissa

She dropped her head back and laughed. “Bring her,” she said, her eyes both dancing and wild. Her eyes shifted to Sarissa, who took a short breath and went stiff beside me. “She’s gorgeous, and I would love to . . . get to know her better.”

Now I can understand her withholding information from Harry who Sarissa really was, but this goes a bit beyond that into twisted...

Do you think Jim was caught up in the moment and wasn't thinking about them being sisters at the moment? or was it deliberate?

Does anyone know about this?

If I remember correctly from a interview, it has to do with Harry confronting a member of Marcones crew on purely vanilla grounds?

DF Spoilers / A Way to Demonreach

We know that there are Ways to get to Demonreach, Rashid used one and Peabody (or his boss) used a different one. Ever since Harry received the gem from his mother, I've been waiting for him to find a quicker route than a 1 hour boat ride. Failing that, since the similarity was described in BG between the magic in the stones on the island and those in the castle, does anyone think he'll be able to establish a way or even a portal from the castle to the cottage?

Or does Jim not want it to be that easy?

DF Spoilers / 2 Questions from PT & BG

I don't know if these have been discussed yet, I haven't been on here much since the books came out.

1st question - Ivy, Especially since she dissolved her employment of Kincaid, Harry is the only "friend" that Ivy has. Why was there absolutely no contact or conversation in either book between Harry and Ivy? That seemed awfully strange to me.... Not sure what anyone else thought of it.

2nd question/observation - Namshiel, I think it was generally understood that Thorned Nam was the one who used Hellfire @ Arctis Tor and it was assumed that he'd been Nemfected. But, in BG, IF, the nemfection affected both the host and the Fallen, then why would Baron Marcone with Namshiel riding shotgun be opposing the invasion and Ethniu so emphatically? I think that if it was Thorned Nam at Arctis Tor, then we could possibly conclude that the nemfection doesn't touch the Fallen, just the host. Either way, we could look at how hosts and Fallen interact if there is a difference in the goals they are working towards...

Thoughts?

I watched several interviews lately and while I don't remember which one it is, Jim said that in the aftermath of BG, it wasn't really the time for Harry to disappear into another time-line. So the next book won't be Mirror Mirror, it will be one that follows Harry over the course of a year, dealing with the changes that BG brought about. Including 12 dates with Laura...

I haven't seen anything on his website yet. Did anyone else catch this or see confirmation of it?
