What would Harry have seen if he had accepted the sould gaze with Nic? Nicodemus is clearly a “bad guy” willing to harm anyone to further his goals. But he seems more an “ends justify the means” asshole than someone who delights in what he does. Harry clearly isn’t a reliable narrator given his misjudge of people like Hendricks.
What would Harry have seen… what is Nic’s real goal?

Interesting thought, he has soul gazed a Denarian before, it was an accident, but what he saw he didn't like. He didn't have too much to say about the host except to say the man was totally in control of the Fallen. It was that vision that saved him in many ways to totally giving into Lasciel. Now supposedly Nic is a partner and not a slave of Andriel, but would a soul gaze verify that?

But what did the Fallen see?

But what did the Fallen see?
We’d all love to know that answer…

Would Harry even see anything... is Nik too far gone?

Nicodemus Archleone is still there, and still capable of redemption; if he weren't, he wouldn't be a viable host for a Blackened Denarius. Mr. Sunshine takes a pretty strong stance on that kind of "cheating."

As we've seen it isn't that simple, giving up his noose and coin is only the first step on the road to redemption.
