No you can decline. You just have to prove you aren't a danger to anyone.

Agreed - it certainly doesn't make you any friends, but if you haven't broken any of the laws they wouldn't be out to kill you, though I'd imagine the White Council would have a tab on you at all times

I think its honestly GMs choice.

In my case, I'd probably allow healing with inhuman recovery, though I'd be leery to let players take Living dead in the first place.

Dunno, all I know is I got the pdfs when I pre-ordered the books the day after they came out. In my opinion at least having the pdfs approximately one month early is worth it even if the books shipped a few days late.

1) Mordite is not from beyond the Outer Gates, its from the farthest reaches of the Nevernever, according to the books.

You sure about this? I thought the mistfiend, or whatever the heck it was called was from the depths of Nevernever.

Adding my two cents here;

I've been reading the DFRPG pdfs on the bus using my Nook. What I'll say is that the text is tiny and it can be a little hard to navigate around the pdf, but for the most part I'm able to handle it (as long as I don't need to flip through different parts of the pdf one after another, which takes some time). So overall, if you have an ereader its ok to use it to read the pdfs, but its not worth buying one just so you can read them on the road  ;)

Probably because he was

a. Power mad and paranoid, but probably a bit of both. Probably wasn't sure of his own power, and heck, if its within your grasp, why not go for it?

and

b. Just because he could take the Merlin in single combat doesn't mean he could stand up to the Merlin, several members of the senior council, and a group of wardens behind them.

Ferrovax's breath can cure cancer, but only in the sense that a pile of ashes doesn't have cancer.

There is no such thing as evolution, only a list of beings Ferrovax allows to live.

True Aim and ignoring Mythic Toughness/Recovery/Physical Immunity is actually quite a devastating suite of powers for -3 Refresh; there are relatively few statted creatures in Our World who can handle Fantastic attacks that satisfy their Catch.

Oh and that's just the tip of the iceberg, because I think the book basically says that you are able to ignore the toughness and recovery suite of powers at a minimum. Based on the stuff I've seen in the books, and the fact it does say it lets you negate defensive abilities, I might even let it ignore the bonus the supernatural speed suite of powers gives to athletics to defend against the sword. And perhaps other things as well.

When Ferrovax jumps in a lake he doesn't get wet, the lake gets Ferrovax'ed

DFRPG / Re: Statting a REAL shield
« on: May 31, 2010, 05:52:12 PM »
Another interesting thing to consider if having a shield is considered a tag-able aspect is that the opponent can also use it against you. Besides the whole "attacking from behind" idea to nullify the shield bonus, opponents could also tag it if you were trying to run away from them (shields are pretty heavy, especially the large ones).

So when you say "Taken out", do you mean that all of the player's mental stress boxes were used up and that he also used all of his mental stress consequence "options" as well?

I'd definitely say athletics. The only other skill that comes even remotely close to describing them is driving.

Shouldn't that be "trappings of Summer"?
