But Baltimore is our example of how to take a city you know (or sorta-know) and Dresdenify it.  So our "sample campaign" is Baltimorean, but our "NPCs from the books" writeups are Chicagoan, etc.

Based on the "Designing Dresden" article about this, this might very well be the feature I am most looking forward to.

I think my vision for a campaign is to do a road game. The PCs are going to walk the Earth. Travel from place to place, have adventures. Be magical bums, as it were.

This goes double if anyone wants to be a Knight. Michael Carpenter is always on the road. Doesn't make much sense to keep them bound to one city.

I'm looking forward to building a "Batman" inspired character.

Wealthy but unpowered mortal. Parents killed by trolls. Uses wealth, brains and ridiculous amounts of free time to research the weaknesses of magical creatures, and hunt them down.

This all sounds great, now all I need to do is find me some people to play with.  I wonder if a personal add in the local paper would work?
" Lonely Dresdenphile seeks similar for gaming, long walks in the park......"

If you are anywhere near a book/game/comic store, you could see if they have a bulletin board. That is often a good way of finding other gamers.

Or try the net. Google something like "roleplayers wanted" plus the name of your town.

The net could also hook you up with a play by post message board game, or play by chat. A few of my friends are playing by message chat now. Handy because we have all moved to different cities in our old age.
