Title: Using a container with a containment spell?
Post by: LisaHartjes on July 20, 2012, 07:25:57 PM
Hi!

I'm starting up a new campaign and I'm trying to build a "ghost bottle".  The wizard for whom this is for has the Ectomancy specialty in Thaumaturgy, but does not have spirit for evocation spells.  What I want to be able to do is have the wizard open the bottle, and the spell "attacks" the ghost.  If the attack overwhelms the ghost, then it's drawn into the bottle.

YW suggests using Wards as an example of how to build the containment spell, but also says wards are not movable.  Not being able to move the bottle would make using this spell out in the field - trying to capture a ghost terrorizing people and hold it until it can be safely dealt with - rather difficult.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to build this ghost bottle?

High powered Enchanted Item. Give it a high weapon value, and when you manage to take something out, you stipulate that it's in the bottle.

Is the ghost jar half full, or half empty?
