Calendar Event Discussion / Re: Where would YOU like Jim to appear?
« on: August 07, 2015, 10:16:23 PM »
Philadelphia! I saw Jim in NYC a few years back, but I heard that that is pretty rare, despite the publisher being there. I got my now wife hooked on the Dresden books and she's never had a chance to see JB in person.
Any ways we can all encourage the scheduler to add a place to future tours?

I'm not expecting any last minute additions to the signing tour for Aeronaut's Windlass at this point, but I do note that this tour is pretty heavily weighted for the Midwest and West of the country? What are the odds of there being some in the East for the next tour? (Or just because!) Maybe in Philadelphia? I know this is off the topic of this thread, but I'm not sure where to look. My somewhat cursory, not at all in depth, search didn't turn anything up either. Where would I look for conversations/speculation about future books and their publication times/schedules? Thanks guys!

All these appearances are great, but what about the Maryland appearance you were teasing with?

Well. My ladyfriend would very much like to know when the Maryland appearance is. When is everything being announce? She has been emphatic in her queries about this issue.

That is an eminently doable trek for me! Can't wait to find out when so it can be scheduled in.

I second that wish for a Dragon*Con appearance, but I'm hoping for 2013 as well as 2014.

Since nothing official can be said until things are announced by the cons and other event holders, what are the ODDS that Jim will make it onto the East Coast this year? Maybe near Philadelphia or New York? I just got my girlfriend hooked on Dresden, and I think she'd love to get to see him at a signing. Does he ever go to Dragon*Con?

Philadelphia, since it's probably unlikely for him to show up anywhere in New Jersey nearer me.

Dangit! If I had known about this meetup ahead of time I would have so been there. I'd have loved to come up and hang out with some Butcherites. Unfortunately, 1 day isn't usually enough notice for me to get up to NYC.

More appearances in either Philadelphia, or New York. Please.

It was great seeing everyone there, and having people to talk about the Dresden Files with. Priscilla was just as nice and sweet as she is online, and even kind enough to sign my copy of First Lords Fury with Jim. I can't wait to see her next update of her Molly costume! Shecky was full of interesting stories, from the cons and otherwise. I'm just sorry I couldn't attend any gathering of fans that was going on after the signing, but I had to grab my train to head home. Next time!

Grabbed my pass this morning, hit up a museum or two, now I'm back to sitting in the cafe waiting for the signing to start. I should probably get up and find out where the signing will be held I suppose.
