Very nice. By any chance will there be copies of White Knight available for autographs ? The release date says April 3rd but that is awfully close.

I doubt they'll be available at the con, but often times, bookstores will start selling books before the release date.  I'm sure Jim would sign your book if you managed to acquire it on your own.  Alternately, if you can't get your hands on the book in advance, I'm sure Jim would be willing to sign a bookplate that you can later paste into your book when you get your copy.

I can't speak to other Cons really, but I know that at RT when the release date is close, you can often purchase the book from the author at the book signing day. Here's hoping for you!

It is official, we ( the Buzzy ladies @ Buzzy Multimedia ) will have copies of White Knight for sale in time for Stellar Con and I-Con. So for those of you who were going to either convention and were going to stop by and say hello to Jim Butcher, this us your chance to get the book hot off the presses AND get it autographed. For those who just don't do hardcovers and have been waiting for Proven Guilty to be out in soft cover, we will have those as well

Why are you posting in the third person, Jim?
Or did some sneaky person steal your login?  ;)

Let me tell you what kind of person Jim Butcher is.  Jim Butcher has a TV show and stuff now, and is clearly too important to refer to himself in the first person, like everyone else.  Jim Butcher has grown beyond that, baybee.  Jim Butcher is the kind of man who has to distinguish himself that way.

Sure, people might say that Jim Butcher has just become too big for his britches, but Jim Butcher will tell you what Jim Butcher thinks: and as soon as Jim Butcher finds Jim Butcher underneath the new ego growth, and asks him, he will let you know!

And that clears up the question of why we enjoy your writing style so much, thank you for being a normal *as far as we're concerned, you're normal, so don't let the straights/mundanes tell you otherwise*.

Oh my dear sweet God!

Today in Pizza hut my mom brought up I-con!

My mom brought it up!

I was talking (as usual) about Jim and she asked "Isn't he coming to Syracuse or something?" Syracuse is a city nearby, about ten minutes from the town I live in.

I gaped at her for a second, shocked that she had remembered something I'd said off hand. Then I said, "No, he's going to be at I-con, which isn't too far away." (read: It's in the same state)

Sweet Georgia Peaches I might actually have a chance of going! (If I can figure out where the hell it is)

Edit: Scratch that. Mapquest says it's in long island. No way in hell my mom's gonna drive six hours to go to the place she remembers fondly as the worst year of her life.

No Jim for me.  :'(

I was there too.  Probably saw you... you probably saw me two. (At most of the Jim Butcher events me and my friend were the only people roughly under 30)
I do have to say... I am SO glad this board exists.  Mr. Butcher was on one pannel were they were taking about modern gothic literature.  It's totaly a conversation I would have with someone online, they wouldn't be able to see me and give me that look like, "What are you talking about... you're a teenager!".
Yea... I sayed quiet most of the time at Icon.

I have a bunch a picture (one really good one of Jim Butcher and Chris McGrath).  I'll try to post them soon.   :D

That's Christian McGrath - it was the first time the two of them had met in person.
