Yes, he walked around in the Vader Suit and was the guy you saw at the end, when Luke removes his mask. Also at the end in his Jedi robes as a spirit (the original editing....not the crappy one replaced with Christenson.)
Wait no, Shaw was the face and the guy in the Jedi robes....gah, just how many frickin' people does it take to play Vader?!
He just walked around as Vader but wasn't ever seen. He's 6.7 and a body builder....so frickin' gianormous guy.

Y'know, I would feel bad for Prowse and the way he found out that his voice was dubbed out in favor of Jones, but... it's James freaking Earl Jones. I personally wish he would dub his voice over everything *I* say.

I remember a TV interview with James Earl Jones where he was asked about doing voice over work instead of "true" acting. His respone was to look down at his watch and solemly announce, "This is CNN."
It gave me a good chuckle.
